Just follow the steps of Andi who rejoiced with Bray's offer to accelerate the journey by boarding his rental helicopter. We walked to a private plane area at the airport. I'm not too enthusiastic about the offer because I'm afraid to be a burden to the company. I remember Jim talking about his very expensive rent. If Maudy alone is considered not entitled to waste company money for personal gain, let alone me who does not have a stake in the company.
I miss Bray but refuse to meet him in person because anyway I have to be careful not to get entangled in his trap. Last night I refused his offer to ride the big propeller. I'm in no hurry to get to Lolobata. Gawai was deliberately inactivated since morning to avoid communication with him. Apparently Bray didn't lose his mind forcing me on something I didn't expect at all. Unable to reach me he contacted the very interested Andi immediately to the point of being able to register a timely presence in his office.
"Come, Fifa! Walk faster. We are lucky today. I don't need to fill out a permit to arrive late because I can be absent from the office on time."
Andi was so lucky to get the offer that I can't remember my promise to tell her the question about the cause of Grandma suddenly having to move out of her house after we got to Ternate. Men easily forget. Especially after a lucrative offer.
Who is not tempted by Bray's offer. By taking a helicopter, we can save hours on the road. The journey from Ternate to our village is not easy. You must take a taxi to the dock, cross the sea by fast boat or ferry to the city of Sofifi, then continue the road trip about 5 or 6 hours more across a road that is not flat like a toll road. If you want to go by air, you will have to wait for a small flight schedule to Buli airport in about 2 or 3 hours.
Andi walked leisurely with his long steps while whistling. Many times he told me to go faster and encouraged me.
"When again we take a free helicopter if not coincidentally with Firdaus. Let's go faster, Fifa!"
I still did not speed up my steps. Trying to figure out if there is a good reason to avoid without looking disrespectful and childish.
"You still sleepy?"
"No."
"Tumben is very slow. Hungry?"
"No."
"illness?"
"No."
"Looky kok?"
"Small."
"Maybe because I haven't had breakfast. You just keep going that way. Let me find food and milk boxes for breakfast."
Without waiting for my answer Andi walked quickly to the convenience store that was inside the airport. While I still doubt. My brain was already circling around but I could not find the right reason to reject Bray's invitation.
"Hi." Bray waved at the entrance of the special flight lounge.
I automatically curled my lips back at her charming smile with a thin smile. Serrs. I think my blood is flowing faster. Shame led me to turn to look at Andi who had walked quickly to me. He handed me a clear plastic bag of bread, chocolate and milk.
"Breakfast let the spirit." the message with a smile.
"Thank you."
After handing over the plastic bag, Andi rushed over to the door of a special flight waiting room approaching Bray who had been standing there waiting. I followed behind him.
"Hi, Bro." Andi raised her right hand greeting Bray kindly.
Bray's hands are held in the style of the shug, the right hand shaking hands while the left hand half embraces the warm shoulder. The two of them exchanged warm and friendly smiles.
"We're leaving right away?"
"Breakfast for a second, bro. Fifa's hungry. You will get rid of hungry lions if left alone. Along the way we will be treated to a view of a grim face and a wry smile." Andi began to talk arbitrarily to melt the atmosphere.
Bray smiled and glanced at me. I chose to avoid her gaze. I became a mute statue when I came face to face with Bray. The vocabulary in my memory was scattering away while the amygdala was busy arranging the feelings that suddenly changed incoherently. I looked for a chair so I could eat the food Andi gave me even though my stomach wasn't hungry.
"You are too busy to have no time to meet in Makassar."
Andi laughed, "Sorry. I was hijacked by SMU alumni friends."
"Did it start again today?"
"Yes. Thanks for the offer to take the helicopter. I don't think I'm getting a license to be late today."
Bray smiled faintly and glanced at me who was sitting down to enjoy a brown banana bread and a box of packaged milk. His eyes rained sharply. I'm powerless. Unable to return that look.
It wasn't until 5 minutes that my food was gone. We followed the directions of the airport officers who had been waiting. I'm a little unwell of letting that officer wait too long. We immediately walked to the runway where the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter was a combination of silver and black was ready to take us flying. Two crew members were preparing to sit at the front of the helicopter in white uniforms complete with all the attributes typical of commercial aircraft pilots. A friendly ground crew invited and helped us to board the helicopter. I was sitting in the middle passenger seat inside the fuselage which only had a capacity of 5 people. Two crew members on the front control the various steering buttons. 3 Passengers were seated at the back.
Bray helped me put on my headset and checked my seatbelt without saying much. But he looked at me from a very close distance and smiled triumphantly. Don't ask me how I felt at that moment. Getting a little attention and sitting next to it is a gift. Dag dig dug my heart's beating like shit. Seeing her smile and hearing her voice alone felt my world rumble. Moreover, smelling the fragrance of his body that evokes the desire to unite themselves. My head's cramping. Body freezes.
We both kept quiet. Andi and Bray were seen enjoying the view from the side window of the opposite plane. While I who was sitting in the middle looked straight ahead. The helicopter immediately flew in the air across the sea and beautiful islands were seen scattered here and there.
After crossing the sea, the helicopter flew slightly higher through the cloud clumps. The journey did not take long. Forty minutes later the large propeller vehicle had landed perfectly on PT XY's helipad not far from the office building.
Hisyam's brother Jim and some of the company's staff have been there welcoming Bray with great respect.
After greeting the management of the company that welcomed us, Andi immediately waved at someone dressed in civil service who had picked him up.
"Thank you, Mrs Firdaus. I went straight to the office. It's been picked up by a friend."
"Be careful on the road, Bro."
Seeing Andi's back drifting away made me a little confused and awkward. Cobalt. He wasn't always there when I needed him, but he was angry that I was too close to Bray. This time, Andy left me alone. He was picked up on a motorcycle by a friend.
I feel unworthy to stay in this company area. Not an employee and has no interest in this area of the company. "I also went straight home."
"Don't go straight home! Ngana stopped by the office. Old Su we didn't see." Good thing Jim's greeting saved my awkwardness.
"Let's go in! He wants to show us that we have a financial system. Ngana said she wanted to learn how to control the company remotely."
Oh yeah, I forgot my own question to Jim a few days ago. I want to find out how to control the company from afar. Jim said the main trick is to create an integrated financial system that can be controlled online and has strict security standards.
Bray showed off a smile before coordinating with several management components related to standard documents and all the preparations needed for the ISO assessment team. Jim dragged me into his room.
"Sit, Fifa! Now you need to call ngana by the name of miss."
"Tara. What is this Jim's brother."
"From the beginning of sa su know there is an aura of gold in ngana. Sa su kira ngana is definitely not a descendant of random people."
"Sister Jim ..."
"Sorry! Sa tara means nothing. Sa is still surprised suddenly to hear about the company's legacy. But I'm happy." Brother Jim smiled as he opened his hands beside his ears.
"Only plantation, brother Jim. Not a big company like XY. We learn the practice of financial management. If you need to pay the consultant rate just send the invoice."
Jim laughing. "That's not what I mean. We're buddies. Someday I will definitely need help ngana and ngana should help" he said half-threatening.
