The morning of the 5th day Andi Syarif came early to the house and took breakfast at the dinner table with us without any prior appointment or notice. The atmosphere of the dining table feels warmer because the man is good at making fun stories that make us smile.
"Sorry about what happened on Tuesday afternoon, Dinda." Andi suddenly changed my calling to Dinda. I don't know what that means. I love him for any drama scenario.
My grandmother and I exchanged lyrics without comment and we both continued our breakfast which stayed a little.
"How does it feel to be alone in a tavern with that big boss?" he asked with a curious face.
"It's normal." I replied flatly. Though the back of my hand warmed up again as I remembered how her wet lips touched my skin. Wanted to smile in memory of her but I held back for ego's sake so that no one would know my folly was caught up in a fake romance.
"What are you talking about?"
"It's a bird conservation issue. There's nothing else to do with him than birds."
Andi instead smiled and glanced mischievously towards grandma. "Grandmother Arifa is already good at bird's business." he commented while closing his mouth and smiling silly. Grandma smiled with him. This must have been a deviation from the actual definition of a bird.
"Be careful, Grandma! Maybe he's been conservationist as well as his personal bird the boss of that handsome nickel mine."
Uh, what does that mean anyway? Why is his speech getting wild.
"Grandmother should check the granny's parts. Don't let no one else be pecked at the bird." Andi laughed loudly.
Ill-mannered. I stuffed the spoon I was holding into his wide-open mouth. He finally stopped because of the spoon I stuck in his mouth. He's ambushed. Surely his mouth hurt because the metal object entered without the control of the mouth owner. Replace me who laughs satisfied to see him patting his sore cheek.
"Duh, you must be Fifa. I'll have you later."
"Everything has a mouth it's guarded. It's too far to talk about."
"Handering, Fifa. Kidding."
"It's not a joke but slander that leads to defamation" I said firmly. I don't like outrageous jokes.
"Sorry!" he said with a clear look and bowed his head.
My grandmother smiled at my behavior.
"Deliberately, Brother Syarif did not come to trap me both he's in the store?"
"No, Dinda. I was really hijacked with SMU friends who have not met for a long time. It just so happens that my cousin used to be an SMU with me. That's why so many SMU friends came to the party."
I'm thieving. What's wrong with him, why am I the one being bullied. I see Grandma still smiling. It might have been a long time since he had seen his granddaughter chatting so familiarly like this.
"Said Grandma Firdaus to come here again before returning to Jakarta. That's suspicious. Why would he come here? Is it still in the framework of his personal bird conservation?" This time his eyes looked at me suspiciously as if accusing me of making a grave mistake.
Piqued. I punched his arm back. This time Andi quickly dodged and then smirked a little.
The heartbeat begins to burn emotions. But my brain is still sane. Rather than being tormented by anger, I'd rather go to the sink. My breakfast is over. It's time to brush your teeth. Tired if you continue to respond to Andi's speech that is not clear.
Already trying to avoid, Andi even approached me in the sink. This guy deliberately wanted to find something with me.
"Sir Sharif doesn't have a toothbrush here. There's home! Toothbrush at home. I don't need Sharif anymore. Slanderer." I said while pushing his body away.
Andi grinned to show her teeth, "I've brushed my teeth at home."
"So why follow me here."
"Who follows you. I'm gonna wash my hands. A hand wash."
Andi interrupted me with her elbow. I had to back off giving him a chance to use the sink first. With a smile he opened the faucet, smeared his hands with a lot of liquid soap and then washed it with running water until the soap foam disappeared from his hands. I volunteered to wait for him to wash his hands even though he intentionally prolonged the hand washing process.
After washing his hands he deliberately flicked his hands in front of my face until exposed to splashes of water. I couldn't get back at it. He ran back to the dining table with a satisfied laugh.
Geez, this guy his presence is always pissing off. It's funny sometimes, but it's super bad. The unexpected turn came. In time it is expected to disappear.
Andi wasn't waiting for me to brush my teeth. She pushed her grandmother's wheelchair into the living room and sat on the sofa opposite a 72-inch television monitor that broadcasts the morning news. The tail of his eyes still kept watching me.
"Where are you going today, Fifa?" ask grandma when I've been sitting on the couch in the living room.
I deliberately chose a single sofa that was far away from the location of the sofa occupied by Andi. Still upset. The man who had been busy reading and replying to the incoming message was immediately pocketed the device when he saw I had been sitting in the middle room.
"Get out yuk! The time of day we are not satisfied with traveling around Makassar." invite Andi.
"No ah. I'm still upset with Sharif. Eat at home with grandma. Later that night I'll have to pick up Fifi at the airport."
Andi raised her eyebrows, "Si Fifi wants to come here?"
"Yes. Vacation. Today is the last test. The school came straight from Buli airport. The plan was instead Fifi wanted to change schools here to accompany grandma."
"Thank God Fifi would accompany Grandma. Fifi's a more relaxed person, Grandma. Not as bad as her brother."
Apparently the bullying hasn't stopped. I threw the sofa cushion over Andi's face hard.
Hid. Early in the morning was irritating. My mood today can be damaged by emotions.
Andi caught the pillow and kissed it while smiling ignorantly. "Thank you for the rebuttal, Dinda Fifa."
I dropped my body on the sofa then kept quiet with my arms crossed over my chest and eyes staring at my own feet. Want to leave the room, not happy with grandma. Cook just like that. Like a little boy.
"Already, brother Sharif! Don't keep teasing Fifa! He'll be ilfil for a long time." It's nice that grandma finally defended me from this bullying. I stick my tongue at him. Andi replied with a smile.
"Eh, grandma knows also the term ilfil."
"Know dong. I love watching TV."
They both laughed a little. I'm not flinching. Consistent silence. My intention will not open my mouth at all until Andi Syarif is tired of babbling, irritated, and then go home by himself.
But the name Andi Ahmad Syarifudin gibbonnya more gacor than any bird. He does not get tired of throwing his own stories or responding to television news with comments that are sometimes absurd.
"Sir, have you ever heard of a frog who went to see a fortune teller?"
"Grandmother forgot. But it seems like grandma hasn't heard."
"This is the most famous story among biology scholars." Andi glanced at me for attention.
Cih, mentang mentang bachelor of biology. Want to just use a show off first if he is a biology scholar. Modus.
Andi started the story he said was famous with serious fashion.
"One day a frog went to a fortune teller to find out his fortune in romance. The fortuneteller then read the frog's palm and said that the frog would meet a beautiful girl. The girl was very interested in the frog and wanted to know everything about him. She wants the frog to open up to her and give her heart.”
"Well, this must be a romantic story." exclaimed grandma. The old woman often spent her free time watching soap operas or family drama films in her room.
Andi still smiles smiling glancing at me. But I'm consistent with the face and mouth that I've locked tightly. I saw the news that was popular on TV in silence.
"The happy frog dong, Grandma."
"Yes. Must be happy dong. It's like a fairy tale of a frog prince and a beautiful princess. Keep going on with the story!" grandma said curiously.
"The boy jumped up and down in excitement. The fortune teller let the frog jump until tired and satisfied to vent his joy. Once the fortune teller's satisfied tells him the bad news, the frog will meet the girl tomorrow in the biology lab."
Grandma laughed, "Hahahaha. The plot twist is good. Kirain the frog will marry a beautiful princess like a fairy tale. It turns out that ultimately tragically, the frog had to die after being taken away by a beautiful girl for a biological experiment."
Andi laughed out loud at Grandma's accurate analysis. My grandmother is not senile. I can think with perfect logic.
A second later Andi put on a look like a beggar at the crossroads. His acting skills are on par with those of the image-cup winning actors. It is so easy to play the character. Moving from a comedy actor character to a sad drama actor character.
"Grandmother does not share the fate of the frog?"
"Yes ngenes is. What a pity diphp-in fortune-teller."
"That frog is me, Grandma. I thought I was the lucky frog prince who would marry a beautiful princess like that fairy tale. Now that I believe in the prophecy, the beautiful princess only wants a frog's heart as an experimental substance."
Andi said what the hell. I think he's mentally ill today. Since then the jokes, insinuations, and slanders he threw lead to baseless jealousy. Though it was clear from the beginning I considered him an old brother, until whenever it was still an old brother. Point.
Grandma looked me in the eye and Andi took turns. I don't know what's on his mind.
