From Jim I got a new experience on how to organize people and properly administer documents. Besides, I think talking about other people's lives can turn out to be an entertainment in itself. It is only fitting if your mother crumbs in the village every day busy talking about other people's life problems. Apparently it is one way they entertain themselves and curiosity makes them addicted to explore the lives of others again and again. Because of Jim's babbling now I feel it too. I was wondering what Bray's true personal life was about, but I didn't dare ask any further. Afraid of becoming addicted like mama mama village that crumpled.
The next day I went to the office early and Jim drove me to the bank to open an account on behalf of the foundation. After returning from the bank, I was taught about the application of excel which is useful for operating databases and mathematical calculations for decision making. Actually Jim only specializes in learning excel to make simple financial statements but because my curiosity so widened to other excel functions. Jim provides several examples of data, calculation tables, and examples of the use of some mathematical functions or formulas that are often used in everyday work. He also showed me some internet content links that contained practical instructions using excel apps. Next I'm trying to read it and the brain tinkers at its own database.
"Fifa, I'll stay. Must accompany the boss of weekly meetings in the factory. You taught yourself at the link I just told you. Can you?"
"God can do it." I said sure.
I have always been used to learning self-taught. School tuition alone I got all from the equation exam after packages A, B and C. My childhood teacher was a baba and some social activist who taught in the jungle school program.
"I teach you how to be so cool."
"Thank you, Brother. May Allah always make it easier for you to absorb your knowledge. I really salute the work of a nimble and neat sister. Hopefully the spit can be like a big brother."
Jim smiled broadly, "I've been a secretary for 3 years so I've memorized my work." Jim nodded with a low sentence.
Quickly his hand grabbed the tablet and the bundle of files from the top of his desk. A moment later he had waved his hand as he hurried the way following Bray's steps already down the stairs.
I continued to learn on my own using the examples of cases contained in the link reported by Jim. I focused on learning how to use formulas that are often used in excel applications. My learning activities are fun while draining concentration and time. It's so exciting that there are people standing in front of my desk that I don't even notice.
"Hi, you're the new secretary?" a ketus greeting suddenly broke my concentration in learning the dizzying pivot table formula.
I didn't answer right away. Fighting for a few seconds to see the beautiful girl who was arguing with Bray yesterday is now in front of me again. Didn't Jim say yesterday he left the island in a chopper that was expensive. Why is this day coming again. Right said Jim, he is indeed a source of waste of company funds. Just imagine. That much money is only used to go back and forth without any emergency interest. Very fond of. The funds can be used to eat large people as much as possible. I became my own.
"Hey, are you a bitch?" He yelled at me rudely. She is beautiful out of my eyes. Changed like a magic granny.
"Eh eee sorry, Miss. I'm just hitching a lesson on Jim's brother here."
"Internship?"
I don't know what an apprentice means but just nod in nervousness. I think it might mean the same thing I mean.
"How long do you want to intern here?"
"About a week."
"There's an internship of just a week. Where the hell are you at school? Usually the internship is as soon as a month. Normally about 2 or 3 months. Say yes to your teacher, if this office is not a place for students to mess around."
Uh, wrong huh? Secretly my hand typed on the google window asking me the meaning of internship. According to the intern who is a candidate who has not been appointed permanently and has not received a salary or wage because it is considered still in the learning level. It turns out I've misunderstood the meaning of apprenticeship. But let. I explained I meant to be in this place right.
"Where are Jim and Firdaus?" the question is still with a tinge.
I wondered in my heart what was wrong until asked in a thin tone only. I'm gonna be nervous. "Se is in a meeting with the factory people, Miss."
"Until what time?"
"I don't know until what time, Miss. He's been down since about 2 hours ago." Thank God this time I can issue an answer that I think is polite and can neutralize emotions so as not to be nervous.
The girl threw away her face and entered Bray's room.
I just ignored his bad attitude towards me. Maybe her mood is disturbed due to menstruation. I continued my learning. Pivot tables are a bit complicated. It must be understood and practiced over and over again until it truly understands what it is and how it functions. I'm sure it will be of great benefit if I can understand how it works and how it is used properly.
Jim and Bray came back from the stairs. Bray's face looks very tangled. Smile disappeared from his face. He immediately entered his room without looking at it in the least. Jim returned to his desk next to mine.
"Maudy's sister is coming again?" asked Jim with a face that was almost the same expression as his boss. Tangled. But his clothes and hair remained at maximum.
"Yes." Yeah."
"What are you doing, by the way?"
"Just ask me if I'm the new secretary and where the boss is."
"I answer I'm just here to study with Jim for a week and you're in a factory meeting."
Jim nodded. His face turned slightly bright. "Keep talking about what else?"
"She asked what time the meeting was over. I said I didn't know you guys were meeting until what time but I told you you guys were down about 2 hours ago."
"Are you sure you don't say anything else but that?"
I nodded confidently. How Jim suspects something. Am I wrong?
"What's wrong?"
"Mas Bray was dizzy and upset about Maudy's behavior" he replied half in a whisper.
"Yesterday he was angry because the boss was considered wasteful budgeting the CSR program and objected to the decision of Bray mas living here. Bray's problem is solved and he has returned to Jakarta. Apparently not. He claimed last night to stay at a luxury hotel in Ternate and then returned here by helicopter. It's a waste." "He never wanted to know how hard workers work here. A year's salary isn't necessarily enough to pay for that helicopter's rent." Jim lamented.
"Mas Bray scolded me and asked me to refuse if I was asked to pay the helicopter rental bill. Maudy is always mean. I'm gonna be a tough follow."
Um, Jim's right. I just this time interacting with the girl was fed up with her attitude. Especially Jim and Bray. His attitude is not as beautiful as his looks and looks.
I wonder what happened in that room. I tried to concentrate on listening to the sounds that might relieve the curiosity. Silent. Maybe the boss room is designed soundproof. Or maybe they're talking nicely in a normal tone that our ears can't afford. Or maybe they're making love. Haha. My wild mind guessed in all directions. Broken down my learning concentration.
"I sent my study today to Jim's email. Please Jim check."
"But let me check, Fifa. No mood anymore."
Jim looks worried. It turned out that he felt something more disturbing to the mind. Something heavy is weighing on him and may not be able to share his problems with me. Either because I'm not aware of the business problem or the problem is too sensitive for outsiders like myself to know. I will not question or interfere in matters that are none of my business. Continue again. I tried to learn the pivot table even though honestly my concentration had collapsed. My mind was busy wondering what was going on in the room.
BRACKET. The large, sturdy black wooden door was slammed hard again. Maudy came out with a red face and tears in her eyes. This time Bray was nowhere to be seen following him. The door of the room kept closed. I was waiting for the next scene. Maybe exciting like a tv soap opera scene about the quarrel of lovers.
"I went inside to see Bray, yeah, Fif."
I nodded then again tried to make a pivot calculation of the table using the sample data I downloaded from the free statistical data. Unfortunately my concentration has been broken. My brain and heart are out of sync. Intent to compile a table looking for the best-selling product type, instead of using the 'max' function instead choose the 'average' function'. Many times wrong click so upset yourself. I wanted to come in to know Bray's current situation. But stop because it's disrespectful.
Jim returned to his desk with his face not as bright as usual even though his clothes and hair remained neat.
"Is there a serious problem?" I couldn't help but hold back my curiosity.
Jim nodded.
"What does CSR funds have to do with?"
"No. Maudy doesn't know there's a foundation."
"Then?"
"They fought again. Maudy's brother threatened to uncover a secret that could make Papa Mas Bray stressed when he had just recovered from a stroke." Jim dropped his body on the back of the chair while taking a deep breath
"We pray that their problems will be solved quickly."
"It seems that the hell has stuck because their vision is different, both stubborn and trying to bring each other down."
Ouch. Very bad yes. Jim seemed to be thinking hard to find a way out of personal problems that affect the course of the company.
"My babble says, nothing is impossible if God wills. One way to move God's will is by prayer that never breaks."
"It's wise for your baba."
I nodded then bowed my head chanting prayers that Bray be given the ease of running this company while improving his relationship with his fiancee.
