LOVE SONGS OF LOLOBATA

LOVE SONGS OF LOLOBATA
SEA JOURNEY

Tut tuuut tuut my gawa rang loudly. I immediately took it from inside the small sling bag I was wearing. I thought my mom used a phone number on Fifi. Apparently not. His name is Firdaus Sanjaya.

I don't know. I was pounding every time I got a call from the big boss. What other orders?

"Hello. Assalamu'alaikum."

"Wa'alaikumsalam's chat. Where's Fifa been?"

"On the dock of Sofifi's speedboat."

My heart is quietly warmed. It feels flattered to get a little attention from Bray. But Andi came to interrupt. Not Andi's name if not kepo and try to hijack other people's phone chats. Andi gawked his head towards the camera, "Hello, Boss." he said cheerfully as he waved his hand.

Bray is heard forcing a cough to hide his emotions. Maybe it was upset that our conversation was interrupted by Andi but he tried to be friendly. "Hello, Andi. Howwasyourjourney? Smoothly?"

"Current jaya, Boss."

"Jaga Fifa is fine."

Well, didn't I hear wrong? Bray said the same word with the core message from mama. Is she secretly worried about me?

"Surely, Boss."

"I have a business meeting scheduled in Makassar on Tuesday, An. How about we meet, hang out and have coffee together?"

"Ready. I wait for the good news." replied Andi enthusiastically.

Drt drt drt Andi gagapannya gawai also vibrate. He hurriedly reached into his pocket with his left hand while his right hand waved towards Bray.

I saw Bray smiling watching Andi's behavior. A moment later he again put on a serious face like he was about to pounce on me. What's up, huh? I don't think I did anything wrong.

A second later his fierce eye light dimmed. The man scratched his head. Seem doubtful and confused themselves. "I forgot to say what it was."

Wanted to laugh at his stupid expression but was afraid he was angry. Bray looks funny when the wrong behavior is so.

Did Andi's intermezo just make her amnesiac? I intentionally didn't respond to anything. I'll just wait until his memory returns. Maybe he was looking for something that would make me miserable.

"Eh eeeee I forgot what to say, Fifa. Goodbye to me. Be careful on the road. See you later in Makassar."

Tuuttt closed phone. What the hell is this? It's not really important that a director of a big company who's super busy calling me just to say goodbye with a little nervousness. I thought he was going to torture me by giving me extra tasks on the way. Turns out just wanted to tell her that she would also have interests in the same city. So awkward.

While Andi received a call from Fifi number with a frown. As this morning, my long messages were repeated. I heard Andi just answered 'yes mama' over and over again. It seems Andi is tired of hearing the same sentence. Without repeated maybe he's been poulting out of his head what the message is about.

Seeing me idle, Andi handed his salary to me while smiling cunningly.

"Hello, Ma..."

"Fifa, do not forget the anti-drunk drugs and the wind oil is stored in a place that is easy to reach. The sea breeze was strong and evil. Moreover, fast ships usually go very fast like lightning. Mama used to be drunk. Dizziness and vomiting until you have to rest for a long time to recover."

"Yes, Ma."

"The sweeter is used. It can protect you from the wind."

Sure enough, the long line of mama's message message seems to still be longer if Andi does not immediately pull me into the dock door.

"Yes, Ma. Fifa had to quickly get on the ship. If not, it will be a long time to wait. We could miss the plane."

"Yes. Be careful on the road. Don't forget to pray and remember mama is waiting for you at home."

I didn't expect Mama to be so worried about my trip this time. On the one hand I was tired of hearing his long messages. But on the other hand, I feel like my presence needs family. I feel my life is precious.

I used to go out into the woods alone. There was never a long message from my mom. Days of not going home is considered normal. Though the risk of traveling in the forest must be greater than in the city because in the forest there are wild animals, there are no directions that can be a clue when lost, there are no clues, if hungry and thirsty do not necessarily meet food and water, and if the accident is difficult to seek emergency help. While on my trip this time there is a communication tool that allows you to ask for help if anything happens on the road. There are no wild animals in town either. There are many directions and there are people who can be asked if they get lost. As long as there is money there is a food stall ready to serve various dishes if we are hungry and thirsty.

Although this was my first trip across the island, I was not alone. There is Andi who is a guide and ready to take care of me. Mama should not worry so much.

Andi jumped first into the intended ship. He stretched out his hand to help me jump into the ship whose passengers were almost full. In addition to the passengers and crew of the speedboat with a capacity of 15 passengers has been filled with various cargo.

The crew gave us a lifeboat. Andi taught me how to wear a buoy while wearing that bloated vest on her body. Then we both sat on the back side of the speedboad ready to go.

"How good is swimming, Fifa?"

"Tara."

"Something often plays in the river."

"Main in the river should not swim. Just to shower, wash or fish. Baba told me places safe from river crocodiles."

"Don't you ever tell me how to avoid a land crocodile?" Andi's attitude again.

"If you meet the land crocodile the choice is only two: run or kill him" I replied firmly and innocently.

Andi chuckled at my answer. As soon as the other passengers were sitting in front of us.

"Strictly the time, Miss. Just chill. Besides the land crocodile beside ngana there is no danger of crossing the sea. Tara needs to be able to swim, which is important we people wear buoys." a man in a black hat came to comment on our chat while patting the buoy he was wearing. While the woman next to him was smiling towards me and Andi.

The sound of fast boat diesel engines has been roaring fast. The ship accelerated quickly leaving the foam that formed a straight plane as if it was splitting the ocean. The more in the middle I felt I was crossing a stretch of water that was not visible edge. In addition to the expanse of water, only other ships appear to pass in the opposite direction and birds flying in the sky.

I was amazed to see a flock of seagulls flying in the sea. They danced in the air while watching their prey in the water. Occasionally the gull dipped itself into the water quickly and flew with something in its beak. I don't know what the white bird ate. Maybe shrimp, seaweed or fish. I can't see it clearly from a distance. I think the seagull has a distinctive intelligence that other types of birds do not have. The beach-dwelling bird has diving and swimming skills but can only do it in a short time. Slups. Go into the water, catch the prey and then try to fly again.

The more into the middle of the sea situation the more gripping. The waves are getting bigger. They came rolling with strong winds. The speed of the ship with 4 diesel engines is also incredible. Sometimes I feel like I'm flying through a big wave that comes rolling and then crashes with a strong bang. Hups, horrified. Something that challenges adrenaline but we can't have any control. Can only surrender. I pray in my heart that the ship does not capsize because of the impact of the big waves and strong winds.

Mama's right. The strong jolts and strong winds began to make my stomach nauseous and my head throbbing. The world feels turned upside down. I'm limp.

"What a pale face, Fifa. Is there a sense of Nausea and dizziness?"

I'm shaking. Wanting to deny reality but unable to. Finally I took out the wind oil that mom had prepared in my sling bag. I apply the citrus-flavored oil and eucalyptus oil on the nape, behind the ears, and stomach.

"How drunk is the sea, Fifa."

I'm shaking. "Tara."

Kutepis Andi's hand trying to help massage my nape.

Andi panicked a little with my reaction. He took a plastic bag out of his pocket. Maybe get ready if my seasickness to have to remove the stomach. I took a deep breath and leaned my head. With his hand Andi grabbed my head and carried it leaning on his shoulder. After I comfortably leaned back he rubbed his palms against the cold back of my hand.

Slowly the waves started to be friendly. The mountains and small islands in the middle of the ocean began to appear to show its elegance. I tried to straighten my body and saw the beauty of the charm around the sea where the water began to calm down.

"A little while we're up. Let's take a hot tea break in the harbor."

I'm nodding. Feel defeated. It turns out that the journey across the ocean is not easy and I have not been able to deal with it well. This trip made me understand what it was like to be drunk on travel and what caused people to get seasick.

"Next time consider the advice of more experienced parents. Don't be stubborn." Andi advised me with a smile. This time he looked wiser like an old brother, not as cunning as usual.
