Love of the Past

Love of the Past
Extra Part - I miss you the old days

Latitude POV

Things feel so hard for me. Pregnancy that has entered the eighth month, Eagle who is active, also Word amnesia.

Everything needs extra energy and attention. Fortunately, I have a lot of help in this.

For the treatment of the Word, I really did what I promised our parents. I'm looking for the best doctor for her, even though I have to sacrifice a lot of time and energy.

"Are you okay, Lin?" ask Word when he sees me grimacing this big belly of mine. We just got out of a hospital in Jakarta after occupational therapy. Therapy to help her remember.

"My stomach hurts, man. Cramps." I held the bottom of my stomach with my hands.

"We checked right inside, yeah," he asked.

"No ah, later the same doctor Riana," I said while sitting on a garden chair.

"Don't worry me, Lin," he said.

"Why are you worried? You don't want who I am, whose child this is" I said. Yeah, it's been a week since Word came home, but nothing he remembers. Therapies, medications, memory aids, we've all tried. But the Word still remembers nothing. I know, it's nothing, I'll keep trying.

"Lin, don't make me more confused" he lamented.

"Man, don't say 'me' dong. Strange thing."

"You also like weird, you call me 'Word', but in front of Mom, you call me 'Mas'. Why don't you call me 'Mas' if we're both?" said.

"Do I have to explain?" ask me while squinting.

"If you don't mind," he said.

"Are you sure you won't be embarrassed?"

"What's the reason for this shame?" tanyanya weird.

I laugh. "Why don't I ever call you 'Mas' when we're both, because ...," I cut my line.

"Because what?" curious insistence.

"Here I whisper." The Word brought his ears to my face. I'll explain why. His face suddenly turned a red color.

I laughed back and forth looking at her face that looked so embarrassed.

"That's the result I called you 'Mas' when we were in Greece." I still can't stop my laughter.

"Am I the same, Lin?" tanyanya could not believe it.

"Sworse than that" I said.

"Are you happy living with me?"

I was silent immediately. "Aren't you really amnesiac, man? No longer aware, no amnesia, the value is the same."

"really?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, almost every night before you go to bed, you always ask the same thing."

"And the answer?"

"I'm happy, Man." I rubbed my husband's cheek. He closed his eyes, enjoying my touch.

He held my hand, then let it sit for a long time. Habits he always does. I'm appalled. How could he do that?

He saw my surprise. Then realize what he's done. Immediately release my hand.

"Sorry," he said. "I don't mean to be rude."

I'm shaking. "I'm okay, Man. I'm even grinning, at least I know that unconsciously, you're still my word. Nothing has changed for you."

The Word sees me intensely. Still don't understand what I'm saying.

"You remember, yesterday afternoon when Bi Sri was going to make me milk, you said, if the afternoon makes a strawberry taste, do not chocolate. How do you know if there is strawberry milk in the kitchen? And how do you know that I don't drink chocolate in the afternoon, but strawberry in the afternoon?"

The word looks confused. Finally he shook his head.

"That's because in your subconscious, you're still keeping all those memories. Because it's you who make me milk every day" I explained.

He seemed to think.

"May I remember everything immediately, Lin. Immediately. Yeah, yuk, we're home." The Word helped me to stand up.

"Aw!" I shouted when there was an ant-bite taste in my calf.

"Why?" Word looks worried.

"Now my legs are cramping," I said as I sat back down.

Word suddenly crouched in front of me. I took off the flat shoes I was wearing and lifted my legs up on his knees.

"Man, no!" reject me when Firman begins massaging my legs.

"illness?" ask without hearing my rejection.

I nodded.

"A moment, yes," she massaged my calf.

It feels like nothing has changed from the Word, amnesia or not, he remains so attentive. Even though we have kept our distance to this day.

"Better?" his tanyanya disperse my daydream.

"Yes, thank you, Man." I try to stand up and step.

Word swiftly took my hand and held my waist. I miss her, miss her old self. Missing her touch, her kiss, her romantic words ...

A single tear escaped my eyes.

The Word that saw me crying immediately released all its holdings.

"Sorry Lin, I reflexively did it. Sorry if you're not happy."

"I miss you, Man. I missed you the old days. I don't want you to be a stranger." Tears were racing against each other on my cheeks.

"I'm sorry if I don't remember anything. Sorry to disappoint you," he said.

I shook my head quickly.

"No, Man. It's not your fault, I'm being too selfish. Excuse me. We better get home soon. Mother's father, if the Eagle acts at home," I said, hooking my hand to his.

The Eagle's daughter was worried about her son and daughter-in-law, she chose to stay in our house until I gave birth. While I returned to Semarang. Mom and Dad came by almost every day to see us.

The Word again led me rigidly towards the waiting car. And Mr. Min immediately drove the vehicle to Bandung.

...

Two weeks have passed, this morning I had a meeting with some people from the headquarters. I asked for a meeting to be held at home. At home there is a spacious room that Word used as an office when he worked at home.

"Where are you going, Lin?" ask Firman who just came in after driving the Eagle to school. He looked at me from head to toe.

"Today's a meeting, Man."

"With those people?" He pointed towards the cars lined up in the courtyard.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Do you have to be close?" tanyakanya.

"You should. But since you transferred half your stake to me as a thirty-third birthday present, three years ago, so I'm in control now."

"Wouldn't that add to the burden of your work and your mind?"

"How abus? I don't want to pile up work. Later it still has to be done as well," I said.

"Let me join the meeting, too" he asked.

"Please. Then you change clothes first. Not good for the others." I know the Word came into the room.

"Can I come in?" ask her at the door.

"Come in, this is also your room" I replied from the dressing room. I got him a set of suits.

The Word stands in front of a wall filled with my pictures. Indeed, ever since he came to this house, he had only entered this room twice. So, he had not had time to pay close attention to everything. She refused when I offered her this room. He chose the guest room as his room. He said he would come back to our room when he remembered everything.

"What is this .. us?" he asked while pointing at a photo.

"Yes" I replied briefly.

"When did I start loving you?"

"Since first grade Junior High, that's what you said. I don't know for sure" I replied as I pulled her towards me. "Pocket change. I don't want to be late."

The Word still kept looking at the pictures, doing nothing.

"Cepetan chairman. No other good waiting, they came from out of town, you know."

Word began to open the shirt with eyes fixed on the wall.

I looked at my saliva, looking at the body I hadn't touched in a long time.

Word buttoned his shirts one by one.

"Here I help. You are long," I said. I quickly rolled up his shirt.

I took a matching tie with that shirt.

"Down dikit. You're high, I'm not happy" I asked the Word.

The Word lowered a little, until our faces were aligned. The distance of our faces was so close that I felt her warm breath. His eyes looked at me without blinking. So did I. I had those shady eyes that always calmed me.

I don't know where the urge came from, and I don't know who started it, without realizing that our lips were already intertwined. Gently and emotionally to each other. I held both my hands around her neck, and her hands pulled my nape to deepen her kiss.

We were completely washed away. My longing for her finally evaporated. And he gave the answer to my longing without delaying it in the least.

I finally ended our kiss. My breaths. I breathed a lot of air to fill my lungs. Also to relieve the heat on the face.

"I love you, baby." Suddenly, the sentence was written in my ear.

My eyes are perfectly round. I lifted my face to make sure I heard.

"You ... You remember something, Man?" ask me with my heart racing.
