Death is the end.
Day after day passed with Dean's health condition declining. Alika and the others had tried to persuade Dean to be willing to do further treatment but he continued to refuse.
Day after day passed and so many things happened in that house. Johan starts working again, Jingmi starts school, Rio studies very diligently for his graduation exam, Hans stops with his plans, and Alika takes care of Dean lovingly.
It all sounds very normal in a family. But for Alika not so, she even felt that if all this was just like a stage play and she was the main cast.
Every day Alika sees her family scared. As well as her fear of losing Dean, they had no ties at all.
Between Alika and Johan is just an ex-husband and wife where only Johan loves Alika and not vice versa. Between Alika and Dean they love each other but choose not to be attached to any relationship, between Alika and Hans and Rio is just a friend who later becomes familiar like a brother and sister, between Rio and Hans they are actually just friends and become a family because of mutual love and respect, On the other hand there is Alika who makes the child of her husband's affair as her foster child and she keeps it a secret.
This family can be said to be very unique. Because of all of them only Johan and Dean who have a bond of blood father and son, while the others are adoptive family. However, that does not mean they do not love each other, even though they are bound in family relationships because of a bitter story they went through before but Alika feels that bitterness is also a gift.
"What are you thinking?" Dean asked softly to Alika who was staring out the window.
"Nothing.I just think that right now I feel like complete and incomplete" said Alika with a tight heart.
"You have a complete family now, go back to my father and take care of our family after I'm gone" Dean said.
"Do you not want to survive for our family?" Sahut Alika asked with teary eyes.
"I want to but I can't. Because I miss my mother so much, I don't have to worry about anyone anymore, my three sisters have you as my replacement, and you have your dream family" Dean said in tears.
"When are you going to be an adult? We still need you very much" Alika said with a heart that was still very tight.
"You don't need me, but you want me" Dean said with a smile.
Alika then turned her face and cried. Alika opens the window curtain and lets the sunlight into Dean's room, Dean gets out of his sleep and holds Alika's hand.
"Sometimes love is not to have but to protect..." Dean said to Alika.
"You never change"
"may I sleep on your lap?" Said Dean expectantly.
Alika also agreed to Dean's request. Alika sat down near the window that had opened the curtain and Dean put his head in Alika's lap.
"You're so pretty"
"Yes, I'm so tired. For 22 years I fought and have been up to this point with you it was enough for me" Sahut Dean said.
"Rest..rest if you're tired" Alika said as she sobbed in tears.
"Before that I want you to admit that you love me, and are willing to be my lover" Dean said, staring at Alika's face.
"I. very. Hugely. Love you so much. forever you are my lover and always will be" Alika said with a heavy heart.
"When others come tell them, I love them so much" said Dean, who also shed tears.
Slowly Dean closed his eyes and fell asleep. Dean is asleep forever... Dean died in the lap of the woman he loved so much... Alica.
Dean breathed his last happily. He has no regrets anymore, Dean just wants Alika to be able to live happily after his departure and Alika can live well even without him.
"You've fought a lot for me and our family... Today you left us and I'm sincere about it, I believe God loves you far more than we love you...
Go.. go my lover. Where your mother and sister are waiting for you, you will always be in our hearts and wait for us in eternity. If we meet again later in eternity I promise, I promise I will never let go of your hand again" Alika said in her heart, kissing Dean's still warm hand.
Soon everyone came home and saw Dean was dead in Alika's lap. Hans was left in disbelief beside Dean, Hans grabbed Dean's hand with a trembling body and kissed him while apologizing and crying.
"Sister. Sorry brother.forgive me.I'm sorry for all my mistakes" Hans said as he sobbed in tears.
Slowly Johan walked over in the follow by Rio and Jingmi. Alika reaches out her hand to Johan and Johan grabs her Alika asks Johan to sit next to her and Alika puts Dean's head on Johan's lap slowly.
"Your son is a very extraordinary man, he is your most precious treasure" said Alika who was then answered with a cry from Johan.
It was the first time Johan understood how valuable Dean was to him. Rio sat down near Hans and hugged Dean's body in tears as well as Jingmi.
"Your departure leaves us with wounds in our hearts, but I'm sure you'll meet us one day" Alika said in her heart as she grabbed Jingmi's hand and hugged her tightly.
"Mother..sister will go far away following the light.he says we must not cry anymore" Jingmi said in Alika's arms as she sobbed and then fainted.
"Go quietly. I will take care of all of them, we love you very much" Alika said in her heart as she looked at the direction Jingmi pointed at before she fainted.
