When morning arrived Alika started her activities as usual. He prepared breakfast, tidied up the house, and began picking flowers in the garden to be arranged in the living room. After that Alika washed the clothes and dried them immediately.
After returning to the kitchen, Alika sees Johan washing the dishes. Alika who feels bad immediately asks Johan to stop but he continues his work.
"Mr this is my duty" Alika said as she looked at Johan.
"Is it wrong for a husband to help his wife?"
"Master doesn't work?" Alika asked back.
"I'm on leave. I want to spend time being a newlywed" Johan teased Alika.
Hearing Johan's reply, Alika blushed in embarrassment. "Then let's spend some time together as a happy family" Alika told Johan.
"What should we do to get started?"
"What if we go on a picnic?"
"Picnic? where to?"
"The bottom of Lake Yi"
"All right, let's go today" Johan said with a big smile.
"I'm not coming" Dean said as he left the dining table with his flat expression.
"Deans"
"Sir let me talk to him" said Alika who then followed Dean to his room.
While entering Dean's room, Alika saw him lying on his bed.
"Dean..." Alika said while sitting dismping Dean.
"Dean why don't you have a picnic? you sick?" Ask Alika gently.
"I don't like going out" said Dean, who was still lying on his back to Alika.
"Friends?" Dean sauteed with gibberish.
"Since childhood I also did not have friends, because I was considered different. until the time I was in third grade High School I was reunited with your father, and we were betrothed and then after I graduated college this marriage finally happened" Alika said with a smile that adorned her face.
Then Dean took off his blanket and got up and sat down next to Alika. Dean looked at Alika's face carefully and from Alika's smile he could feel warmth as well as sincerity.
"You don't love my father, you don't know me. Then what's the reason you accepted this marriage?"
"That's because I don't want to be lonely and alone anymore, all this time I was always lonely even though there were so many people around me they just considered me like a shadow that existed but was ignored including my own father... my father loved me and I know that but my father loved my stepmother far more than I did" Alika said with her sweet smile still adorning her face.
"What's your stepmother like?" Dean asked curiously.
"You've met him, haven't you?" Alika asked back.
"Yes"
"How do you think he is?"
"He didn't talk to us much, but he always wanted to speed up the marriage as if he wanted it to happen"
"That's right.he really wanted me to get married and leave the house, because he hated me so much and didn't want to share his father's love with me"
"Did he ever hurt you?"
"Eum, yes, it was practically like my daily food.I was beaten, chided, chided, even almost died from being locked up without food and drink... if only that day your father had not come to our house to see me for the first time maybe I would have died" Sahut Alika with a small smile.
"And after all that you can still smile? Are you still sane?" Dean asked who was carried away by emotions after hearing Alika's story.
"Well, how should I do? Do I have to cry and roar on the side of the road? No. Dean, for me it's all a life lesson, thanks to the torment of my stepmother I came to understand how cruel the world is and I grew up with one wish - I wanted to be a woman who can bring happiness to others" Alika said by looking into Dean's eyes carefully.
"Aren't you going to take revenge on your stepmother?"
"For what? Revenge is of no use, for it destroys us and makes us fall into the abyss."
"What does that mean?"
