The ringing of the room's phone broke the silence, Dr. Choi stood up and walked to his desk to pick up a loud phone.
“Hallo... alright, we will be there now.”
Dr. Choi hung up the phone and faced the two men who were staring at him, they were waiting for what the phone had to do with Ayumi's condition.
“She is fine, will now be transferred to the inpatient room even though it is still under full supervision of the doctor.”
Everyone was now able to breathe a sigh of relief, forgetting the slight tension from earlier filling the air of the room. Radit Maheswara stared at Kim Minhyuk who was visibly devastated to hear the reality that had just opened wide after more than 20 years of being tightly closed. He felt a little sympathy for the man before him because after all this was not entirely his fault.
The three of them enter the VVIP room where Ayumi is seen still lying unconscious, but this time there is no hose that helps his breathing there is only an ECG machine connected to the device that is clipped to the index finger of the girl, the inpus hose that is still attached to his left hand. Kevin and Rama are seen sitting on the cream-colored sofa while Erik faithfully sits on the bedside chair Ayumi did not let go of his hand.
Kevin and Rama immediately stood up when they saw the three middle-aged men entering the room but not with Erik who remained focused on looking at Ayumi's sleeping face. Dr. Choi nodded in response to Kevin's unspoken question making the brown-eyed man turn his eyes in disbelief, he now looked towards Ayumi and also Erik with the deepest feeling of sadness.
“Seung Won.” Kim Minhyuk called his son weakly as he walked up to Erik and also Ayumi, the daughter he had just found out about. Erik was still silent not answering, his hands were getting tighter grasping the tiny hands of his lover, his eyes were reddened with anger and disappointed looking at Ayumi who looked peaceful despite the wounds all over her body.
“How is it?” Kim Minhyuk asked as he looked at the face of his daughter who had almost lost her life with the deepest feeling of sadness, he almost lost it a second time and had it happened he would have done nothing but wallow in regret for the rest of his life.
“She is stable,” Erik replied briefly without taking his eyes off.
“Thank God,” Kim Minhyuk replied sincerely, the room was silent again no one dared to say anything, until finally Kim Minhyuk broke the silence again.
“Seung Won, there is something we need to talk about..dia..”.
“Enough! There's nothing we should talk about.” Erik cuts off the words of his father who looks surprised to see his son's reaction. He was silent for a while and saw the current situation he really understood the fact that the woman his son loved was none other than his own sister, but no he must not let this wrong relationship become, no matter how strong the feeling of love between them is a wrong relationship, a forbidden relationship.
“But you have to know,” Kim Minhyuk said calmly.
“No! I don't want to hear anything!” Erik stood up while looking at his father with teary eyes, he shook his head begging that the man he had always respected since childhood would not say anything about the reality that would cause his world to shatter into pieces.
“I'm sorry but you should know, he..”.
“I said stop, Abeoji! You only have the same blood as him, only that is no more,” Erik exclaimed with tears while nodding his head begging his father to approve his words this time.
Kim Minhyuk's heart was sliced to see his son who was always independent and strong looking so broken, his eyes looked at Ayumi who was still lying there did not react to the conditions that were happening around him. Kevin and the others could only be silent to see that all of them could do nothing but feel the same pain and sadness that Erik felt, Rama could no longer even hide his tears.

“Yes, we will get married after he realizes, you have to bless us.” Erik doesn't care about his father's protests.
“She, your sister!”
“No! No, I only have a younger brother, Joon Seo, he's my younger brother, did Abeoji forget?”
“Seung Won, please be aware..she is your sister, and she is my long lost daughter.”.
“ENOUGH!” Erik shouted with tears.
“She is Ayumi Maheswara, daughter of Radit Maheswara.” Erik is now staring at Radit Maheswara who is looking at him empathetically, “She, Ayumi's father, and you, Abeoji. You just happen to have the same blood as him, only that's nothing more, so don't say no-no, you don't even know her, you don't know what she looks like, so you don't have the right to call her your daughter!” Erik's shout made Kim Minhyuk just speechless listening to the release of his son's anger.
“Do you know who he is, Abeoji? She was Iris, the woman I always looked up to and I called her name even when I didn't know who I was, she was the woman who made me smile, she was the woman who colored my life, she was the woman who made me smile, she is the most precious woman beyond my own life! And you even want to take it from me? I beg you not to do that.” Erik pleads with tears that keep coming out wet his cheeks, and Kim Minhyuk again surprised to learn that Iris name that always slid from Erik's mouth when he lost his memory is Ayumi. But he could not do anything if Ayumi was really the daughter of Minami and Radit then he would be far away happy because he could see the happiness of his son with his loved ones, but this...
“Abeoji, I have never asked anything from you, but for this time, just for once please grant my request, please tell me that this is all just a lie, I beg you.”
Kim Minhyuk was silent for a while as he looked at his son with a sad look, “I'm sorry,” that's all that came out of his mouth in a soft voice that made Erik shake his head.
“No... I said don't apologize, Abeoji, please don't apologize like that... Sir, please explain to my father that he was wrong, Ayumi is my daughter?”
Erik walked up to Radit Maheswara pleading, which made the man unable to hold back his tears, he could see how much the man before him loved Ayumi.
“You're right, Ayumi is my daughter.” Erik smiles at the man he knows as Ayumi's father, “But Minhyuk is his biological father.”
Erik's smile was instantly gone, his world seemed to be destroyed by dragging his feet he walked back towards the bed where his lover lay, now he knelt beside the bed, his hands trembling cupped Ayumi's face, and his, his lips trembled violently withstanding the cry but his strength was exhausted and instantly his cry broke while hugging the immobile body of his lover.
“What's our fault, to have to experience this?” he said among the heart-wrenching cries, “Sin committed by parents why should we pay for it.. Our mistakes are only in love, is it wrong?”.
No one can answer that simple question, all just speechless watching a pair of lovers who are impossible to unite, Rama held his sobs in the arms of Kevin who also had glazed over. Dr. Choi and Radit Maheswara are silent and realize that if they are not bound by blood, Erik is the one they can trust to look after their daughter. But among all things, it was Kim Minhyuk who felt the most regret for sin and mistake that his sons and daughters had to play with fate that ensnared the necks of both.
