Past Times

Nathan could only snort angrily at the sight of his parents leaving him just like that.

'Why are Mom and Dad acting like that to me? Usually they always obey what I want, why suddenly they become strange like this, especially after hearing the name Kenzo Mahendrata, they suddenly become misbehaved,' nathan muttered while looking at Leo and Calista who were now walking into his room.

'I have to think with a cool head, I better rest and calm my mind first to think of the next plan, I have to think things through carefully in order to get Cleo back, fighting a Kenzo was not easy, Nathan muttered and walked towards his room. But when going up the stairs suddenly heard the voice of someone who called out to him.

"Nathaaaaannnn!!"

Nathan then looked towards the park and saw Nala who was sitting on the swing smiling towards him.

"Nathan!" call Nala while waving her hand. Nathan then approached Nala and sat down next to her.

"What's wrong?"

"Hi, you've been away from home for a long time. Don't you miss me?"

Nathan smiled wryly. "What about the restaurant you built in Paris? Two months after Alvin and I get married, we're moving to Paris, so I'm gonna run the restaurant, you're gonna stay here, right? Then marry your boyfriend?"

"Please don't ask me that first, my mood is a mess."

"You why Nathan? It's worth it that I feel bad, so that's because of you."

"What does this have to do with you?"

"Of course it's related because you're my twin brother!"

"Is that influential?"

"Of course because we have a strong bond since in the womb! Just don't understand!" nala grumbled while biting the apple in her hand.

"I'm going to go to the room first."

"Hey tell me, what really happened? How exactly is your relationship with your boyfriend?"

"I don't have a boyfriend!"

"Didn't you chase that woman for two years in Paris?"

"She doesn't love me, and will marry another man!"

"Just look for another woman, flowers are not just one, Nathan. There are still many other flowers in the garden, why do you love a woman who does not love you? That's a very tiring and pointless thing."

"Your nature is the same as Papa!"

"Because Papa isn't stupid like you, didn't you know Papa had many girlfriends before he married Mama? It's so different to you that you can only like a woman!"

"It's not that easy" Nathan said with a wry smile.

"Because you've never tried to do it. Who will marry Cleo?"

"Why don't you ask Papa and Mama for help?"

"They won't help me after hearing the man's name."

"His name is Kenzo, Kenzo Mahendrata" Nathan replied with a slight annoyance.

"Geez!" nala shouted then covered her mouth with both hands.

"Why are you surprised, Nala? Do you know that guy too?"

"Nathan, have you forgotten about Kenzo?"

"Kenzo? Kenzo who?"

"I don't really remember it because we were kids back then but Kenzo and his parents came to this house a few times when he was in high school, you started college in London so you never met him."

"Who is Kenzo? Are Kenzo's parents close friends with Papa and Mama?"

"More than that, Kenzo is Papa and Mama's adopted son, I actually can't tell this to anyone including Kenzo about his past. When he was a baby, she was dumped by her biological father and she was saved by Papa's men and became Papa and Mama's adopted son until she was eight months old after her mother Amanda Mahendrata recovered from her coma."

"Did Kenzo know he used to live in our house?"

"It seems not, all he knows is that Papa and Mama are just his foster parents. She doesn't know about her past because Aunt Amanda's keeping her secret tight."

"Then where is Kenzo Mahendrata's real father?"

"He was arrested for all the crimes he committed against Aunt Amanda's family, but he's probably free now, and Kenzo knows he's Om Rayhan's real son, aunt Amanda's husband now."

Hearing Nala's explanation, Nathan frowned. 'It is fitting that Papa and Mama do not want to hurt Kenzo because Kenzo turns out to be their adopted son. Luck is indeed on my side, I will make this a weapon to reclaim Cleo from the hands of that damn Kenzo, Nathan muttered with a grin.

"Thank you Nala, it's not in vain that I have a cute twin sister like you, I'm now getting a breath of fresh air."

"What do you mean, Nathan? Please don't do nothing, you have to remember Kenzo was once our little brother, he lived with us for almost a year, you didn't hurt him, Nathan."

"You take it easy, Nala. I would never hurt Kenzo, he's our little brother, right?" nathan asked with a grinning smile and then walked away from Nala who was still sitting pensively.

"Gosh, I really made a mistake. I shouldn't have told Nathan the truth about Kenzo, why don't I think about Kenzo's past first? What if Nathan does something no-no to Kenzo after finding out about his past?" nala grumbled while biting her lips.

"Nathan is a very determined man, he could have done anything to achieve his wish, let alone this has something to do with Cleo, he would have made this truth as a weapon to make Kenzo slumped, should I talk to Papa and Mama about this? But I'm afraid they're mad at me for acting so recklessly" Nala grumbled as she pinched her forehead.
