"Cecilia?" Alexander said my name again.
Instantly I woke up. In my heart I tried to say it. "Sir, my house has entered it. Can you help me?" many doubt.
I hear Alexander's like deflecting the steering wheel of his car. It seemed like he was turning direction quickly.
"Wait for me" he said, leaving our phone still connected.
I was sitting limp in front of the porch for not daring to go inside. I don't know what else to do but let our phone line stay connected. I was so scared, especially after seeing my house being torn apart by someone.
Right now I can only ask Alexander for help. I don't have anybody else. Let's just hope he's really sincere in helping me without expecting anything in return. Because I can't reward him, let alone this heart. I still need time to forget the past.
A few minutes later...
"Cecilia!"
Alexander walked quickly from his car towards me. He approached me sitting on the porch alone. He looked inside the house and saw what was happening. I also saw the look on his face so upset.
"Have you reported this to local security?" ask while carefully looking inside.
"Not yet." I shook my head.
"What things have you touched?" ask again.
I sat limp on the porch. "Not yet, sir. I dare not go inside" I replied.
"good. Relax, Cecilia." Alexander called someone. "Hello, Mister. Please send your man to check the fingerprints on this home address. This house suddenly ransacked him. I'll wait right away." I heard Alexander asked someone who knew who to come check on my house.
It feels really good that Alexander is so attentive to me. But I was also afraid that I would fall for her. Which woman does not lose her heart when there is a man who cares? Alexander is also handsome and sweet. His posture is very masculine. Really tempting views.
"Cecilia." He then sat down beside me. "Calm down, there's me" he said, pulling me over to lay his head on his shoulder.
I want to refuse. I don't know why I don't feel like I can do it. I'm like a hypnotist who just wants to lay his head on his shoulder. I realized that my heart was opening for him. And I hope this doesn't go on to the next level. Enough has come to our closeness. I don't want to make him hurt.
Choose for sure, Cecilia.
Maybe Alexander really likes me. And maybe my heart has begun to melt because of his kindness. But, again, I can't get carried away. I have to think about my growing baby in there. Until Jackson gives his decision, I must not turn my heart. I must remain faithful to one heart. Yeah, even if it hurts so much. However, for tonight let me rest first. Let me put my head on his shoulder. On the shoulder of a man who helped me that night.
Two hours later...
It was getting late, but Alexander still faithfully accompanied me. He helped the security guard check what was going on in my house. Unfortunately, there is no CCTV that can be used as evidence. It was a long check at my house. Yes, understand it. It is also called a rented house.
"Fingerprint processing is done, sir. But, there were no fingerprints found on any items. It looks like this was done in the afternoon before the office. We suspect not only one person did. And it looks like they're looking for something valuable here." A policeman explained to Alexander.
I was silent in place. I stood by the door of the room while looking at my disheveled wardrobe. It seems to be true what the police said. There's someone who wants to find something in my house. Butwhat? I don't have any valuables here. All the valuables I've left to Angela. There is nothing in this house to sell but my clothes. But in fact, none of my clothes were missing at all.
"We recommend vacating the house for a while. We'll still investigate. We hope you will wait." The policeman spoke again to Alexander.
"Okay, I get it." Alexander approached me. "Cecilia, we're leaving this house tonight. You can stay in my apartment if you want." Alexander offered himself.
I was surprised. I smiled at him too. I feel like our relationship will get further if we stay in her apartment.
He seemed to realize the reason for my refusal. "Your friends have a family?" she asked me if I wanted to leave her side.
"It has. But the house was big enough for me to occupy last night" I replied.
Alexander shook his head. "No. It is inappropriate for a single woman to live in the home of a married friend. What do people say later?" he said that made my heart flinch for a moment.
Alexander reversed my words. It turns out he's not as stupid as I thought. He secretly harbors intellectual intelligence without me noticing. And this made me admire him even more.
"Em, I'm afraid to trouble you, sir." I'm confused what to say.
She smiles. "Don't worry. I don't feel bothered, Cecilia. Come on," she said, pulling my hand to follow her into the car.
Oh, my God, he's getting brave.
Don't know why I resigned when my hand was held by him. My heart dropped as if asking to follow this storyline. I don't want to be taken where, but one thing is certain at this time Alexander is the one who faithfully accompanied me. Jackson was out of nowhere. I became more and more pessimistic about our relationship. Either an exam or an ordeal. I hope to find the answer soon. Where will my heart be completely anchored?
At half-twelvepm the capital and surrounding area...
I'm so tired. This whole day was quiet I was drained until I was not left. And now I just got to one of the elite class apartments in the capital. Alexander offered to let me stay here for a while.
"For how many rooms, sir?" ask the receptionist in red uniform to the man who is still fresh beside me.
"That's one room. Any?" ask her to the receptionist.
"Shortly, Sir. I'll check first." The receptionist checked out the apartment Alexander wanted.
I waited while yawning repeatedly. I was tired and couldn't walk anymore. I want to sleep. It's also okay to lay down my body. But surely, a madman would shout.
"Fifth floor of room number 55, at the corner." The receptionist said.
"good. I'll take it." Alexander agrees.
"For how many days, sir?" ask the receptionist back.
Alexander looked at me. "Annement. I paid up front," he said, which surprised me.
"Master, you?!!" My eyes are not sleeping anymore.
"It's okay, Cecilia. I paid for everything." He smiled at me.
"This, Sir. Go ahead. If there's a need can call our service." The receptionist in the red uniform gave her the key.
"Thank you."
Alexander immediately swiped his debit card to pay my apartment bills for the next month. He seems to have lost consciousness.
Oh, my God, he's so loyal. Will he ask for the reward of his kindness?
