“Your breakfast, dad.”
“Hmm...
The cold war was still going on between Sian and Olivia. Since last night no one wants to give up to make up. Olivia who felt that she did not have any faults in Sian was anxious about Sian's childish attitude which was too strange. Jealous of George? that's right! Olivia wanted to scream annoyed with the freezing Sian was still clearly visible this morning, even though she had been trying to be ordinary in front of the man.
“You don't need to prepare lunch today, I won't go home.”
Olivia raised her eyebrows in wonder, she looked suspicious towards Sian who looked so calm with her breakfast menu.
“Is this because you're mad at me? Ck, why are you so childish, Sian.”
“Keerakan? I'm fine, Olive.” reply Sian with a flat face. He really did not want to have a commotion on this beautiful morning. Moreover, he needs more strength to start his day which will be a busy one as he and Aciel have guests from Texas.
“Me and George are just friends, you don't have to overdo it like that.”
Sian looked his head at Olivia, looking so furious at the woman's accusations that she called him childish just because his wife met one of his childhood friends. “I don't..”
Tong
The sound of the bell at the door stopped Sian's intention to defend himself in front of his wife. The man then drowned himself again on the bacon and crisp-skinned wheat bread Olivia had prepared on her plate. No, he's not gonna make things worse than this.
With a short breath Olivia walked towards the main door which had been ringing ever since. It grimaced a little as it had lost so much oxygen supply just from walking from the kitchen towards the main door, Olivia decided to slightly take a breath before her right hand stretched out and pulled the golden-coloured doorknob that was in front of her.
“Hai.”
A warm greeting and a sweet smile greeted Olivia as she managed to open the door in front of her wide. A man and a big box of cookies became such a beautiful sight for Olivia's morning that it was a little messy because of Sian's childish attitude that had continued since yesterday. With a face full of smiles, Olivia immediately asked George to come in and put the large box of cakes on the table of her living room.
“Excellent surprise. I didn't know you were coming today.” said Olivia was still amazed by George's presence. Just yesterday George asked for his home address, and now the man has been in his house with a neat appearance like he was about to go to the office.
“Surprise.” reply George amused when he saw the face full of shock that is still shown by Olivia in front of him.
“I was going to be here at lunchtime, but suddenly I had a schedule change, so I took the time to come to your house this morning before I became more and more busy later in the afternoon. By the way where's your husband?”
“Sian is eating, have you had breakfast, George?”
“To be honest yet.” replied George while scratching his non-itchy nape. Olivia who saw it then immediately pulled George to the dining room so that they could have breakfast together and also chat more casually because yesterday they had not had time to talk about many things during their brief meeting in supermarkets.
“Who's coming, Olive?”
Sian was still unaware of George's presence in his dining room. When hearing Olivia's noisy voice chattering, Sian prefers to busy herself by reading the emails sent by her secretary this morning.
“Sit George, I'll prepare your breakfast.”
Sian quickly looked up when he heard the name mentioned again in his house. And just as he lifted his head, the first face he saw across his chair was that of George, who was smiling sincerely at him.
“Good morning, sorry to interrupt your breakfast time.”
It seems that Sian still can not eliminate his surprise with the appearance of George this morning in the
dining room's. Especially with his wife's attitude that was too excessive with the arrival of George, making Sian immediately feel full and want to leave his house right now.
“Oh, I didn't expect you'd come so early in my house.”
George smiled in response to Sian's comment. He did not even think that his hand would
he turned the steering wheel to the courtyard of Sian's mansion as he was about to go to his father's business relations office. “It just so happens that your house is in line with my goal this morning.”
“Oh...” reply Sian short. There was no more conversation between them because Sian really did not want to mince words with George. He himself chose to be indifferent on the grounds that he was reading an important report from his secretary, whereas since three minutes ago Sian was just busy opening and closing his instagram application which does not display any interesting news to see.
“Sorry I only have this, hope you like, George.”
Olivia serves a plate of mashed potatoes, poached eggs, and jumbo-sized German sausage, complete with a sprinkling of parsley leaves that are so aetetic for George. At once Sian glanced at his breakfast menu which looked very ordinary on his plate while comparing George's breakfast menu. This is not fair! batin Sian. His appetite is now completely gone, and he will no longer eat his half-lasted breakfast.
“Where are you going, dad?”
“Ke office.”
“You haven't finished your breakfast.” scold George for meddling.
“I have important business with my coworkers. I went.”
Unknowingly Olivia breathed heavily towards the strapping back of Sian who had walked away. Faintly Olivia heard the sound of falling objects followed by the rough swearing of Sian who had just hit the surrounding objects.
Brucks
“Damn it!”
After that there was no more emotional swearing made by Sian. The house was instantly silent after Sian left with all the emotions surrounding him.
“You didn't eat?” George surprised Olivia who was daydreaming while glancing at the plate that looks so tempting. It was a fortune for him because this morning he was able to taste a home-cooked meal that he had not tasted since he was too busy with the company of his adoptive father.
“I just drank milk, in an hour I'll just eat. You eat, George.”
“One more time thank you, you are so good.”
“No problem. I want to hear more stories from you. So you're now living in Vegas?”
“Not really.” While chewing his sausage so delicious, George began to tell the beginning why he could be in Vegas, in his hometown. “I'm here to replace my father's aging job. You know, my dad has a sore liver that keeps him from going anywhere.”
“So you're finishing your father's work. What field do you work in?” Olivia seems to be very interested in her chat with George. It felt good to see his fellow comrades who had both lived in an orphanage, now had reaped such brilliant success.
“Construction. My father got a new project from an automotive company here because they want to build a new factory in Illinois.”
“Really? What company?” ask Olivia with interest.
“Cadillac, they will expand to Texas.”
“Wow, that's great. Cadillac, that's a very famous big company. Good luck with your project because you will meet with Aciel.”
“Aciel?” asked George wince. He seems to know the guy. “Aciel Lutherford you mean?”
“Hmm..he is a friend of Sian, more precisely a good friend of Sian since the man was very young. Aciel is a good person.” says Olivia is proud. George was seen raising his eyebrows at a glance, but he was reluctant to comment too far about his work or the people he would be involved with later. Besides, he didn't come here to discuss his work with Olivia.
“By the way how is the condition of the parlor now?” asked George to shift the subject. Didn't feel the breakfast menu only three more mouthfuls left to eat. Either George was starving or because Olivia's breakfast menu tasted very good in his mouth, which he obviously felt unwilling if the food ran out too quickly.
“It's been a while I didn't go to the parlor.” Olivia sighed a little before continuing her story. Memory after memory of her difficult life began to creep into Olivia's head and create a bit of bitterness for her. “I'm not as lucky as you are, George.” said Olivia started telling stories. “Nobody wanted me to be their adopted son, so I stayed long enough at the parlour. I was there until I was eighteen.”
George was a little surprised to hear the confession of Olivia which was quite surprising because he thought Olivia would not stay that long in the orphanage. Guilt soon reached George because he had wrongly asked questions for Olivia.
“No, absolutely not. I'm fine.” added Olivia with a smile. “Actually I left the orphanage in a state of deprivation and more severe eye conditions. At that time I had not experienced total blindness, but gradually I would experience total blindness if I did not immediately operate on my eyes. But you know for yourself George, I was a blind girl back then. I can't make enough money to fund my eye surgery, so I have to save up long enough it can do it.”
“What about the other friends? You never asked them for help?”
Olivia smiled wryly in response to George's question. How could he ask his friends for help if he had never been close to anyone. “You're the second person I've met after getting out of the parlor. Before you, I met Laila. Do you remember Laila, the exotic-skinned girl who wears thick glasses? He was adopted three months after you were adopted by a family of doctors who could not have children because the doctor's wife had diabetes. And now that Laila has also continued in the footsteps of her adoptive father, she has become an obstetrician at the central hospital of Vegas.” Olivia's story is enthusiastic. Whatever good things happen to her friends, Olivia can not help but feel happy, even though her own life path used to be not as pleasant as the property of her friends.
“Sorry because I couldn't help you back then.”
“No problem Geroge, after all I just met Sian. He helped me out of all those problems, and he also gave me one cornea when the doctor had no more corneas for me. Aren't I very lucky?” olivia asked with a sweet smile on her face. George nodded his head in agreement and he felt very lucky because God had met him with Olivia. This woman makes him more grateful for whatever he has got so far.
“By the way thank you for breakfast.” George glanced at his plate which had been empty without any remains. “Very good. You're a great chef.”
Olivia blushed a little with George's praise that sounded too overwhelming for her. “It was nothing. Stop by my house again if you want to taste my other dishes. My door is always open for you.”
“Really?” george asked with a smile. “I don't think your jealous husband will allow me to come here again.” said George chuckled followed by Olivia's laugh who both felt ridiculous when imagining Sian's jealous face on George.

“Funding report you requested yesterday.”
Sian placed his report papers on Aciel's desk with a bent face that looked like it wasn't Sian. Aciel, who was initially pursuing the sales report file, felt a little intrigued by Sian's unusual-looking attitude, which was always noisy, and sometimes made his head dizzy because
useless babbles.
“Still doing cold war?”
Sian who was just about to step out actually raised his eyebrows in wonder while staring at Aciel. “You know?”
“Eden told me.” answered Aciel looking up his face. The files scattered in front of him now no longer look attractive in the eyes of Aciel as he began to be interested in the problems that Sian was facing to make the man lose all his humor.
“I will not consider this attitude of yours as something childish.” Aciel saw that Sian was quite interested in his sentence. “I know very well how you feel at this time.” Aciel continued with a triumphant smile as Sian was now pulling one of the chairs in front of his desk, and the man began to sit there with a lethargic face that looked laughable. Aciel had never seen Sian in his entire life because of jealousy.
“It feels like I want to hit that guy's face when I meet him.”
“Well, now you know how bad jealousy is, Sian.”, said Aciel. If in the past Sian often made fun of him because he was helpless when Eden went or when Eden went with his pests, then now Sian has got karma from his previous annoying deeds.
“I don't know if it feels like it's going to be this horrible. You know, up to this point I still think about that guy's face and Olive's happy smile when talking to him. Olive seemed to forget me and have her own world.” Sian grumbled. Actually he wanted to contact Olive at this time and make sure the woman's condition after this morning he left her just like that with George. But his over-pride forbade Sian to do all that. He would rather torture his own mind by letting all his curiosity soar high in his brain than succumbing to his sky-high ego.
“I advise you not to defend your idealism at this time. Make up with Olive.” immediately
“I want to, but I always hesitate when I will do it.”
“That's because your ego is too high.” Aciel chuckled to see Sian's puffy face. As a friend he had given the advice that Sian really needed right now.
Tok tok tok tok
“Sorry, Mr. Dexter's representative from Texas has arrived.”
Aciel nodded his head in understanding towards his secretary. He then glanced at Sian while throwing a piece of tissue right at the man's face. “Remove your stupid tears right now, it's time to work.” says Aciel sucks. Sian immediately threw the original tissue under his feet, and he immediately followed
aciel steps out of his room to welcome the representative of Mr. Dexter.
“Good morning Mr. Aciel Lutherford, my name is George, I am the adopted son of Dexter Smith who today will represent my father because my father is ill, so he can not attend to a meeting before our company reaches an agreement.”
Sian stared intently at George, who was shaking Aciel's hand with a big smile on his face. For a while George had not been aware of Sian's existence there. And it was only when Aciel introduced Sian to George that the man's attention was entirely directed at Sian who was now just staring at him with a flat gaze.
“Sian.” says Sian short. There was absolutely no intention in his heart to mince words too far to George because in reality that man was the source of his anger today.

Sixty minutes feels very long for Sian who usually always feels at home when attending hours of meetings with Aciel. But today somehow he continues to show his uneasy behavior by constantly glancing at his watch in frustration. Some times Aciel gives a demeanor to Sian when the man begins to lose focus on the presentation material that is being presented by George because the man's gestures feel so disturbing to Aciel.
“Shut up! You've been like a hot worm since.” whispered Aciel in a low voice. It seemed that he was already too anxious for Sian who suddenly turned strange when they had such an important meeting with George Smith.
“I'm sick of being in one room with that asshole.”
“I hope you don't mix up your personal problems on the job, Sian.” recalls Aciel sharply. Although Sian is his own best friend, Aciel really does not like if the man brings his personal affairs into the affairs of work which incidentally will have a huge impact on others.
“I think we can end the meeting here. I have agreed with the price you have submitted, and we will quickly send you the building design drawings from our architect, Mr. Aciel.” George had since seen the uneasy wave that Sian showed next to Aciel. And with all the awareness that he had decided to immediately end their meeting because he did not want to make the husband of his childhood friend became increasingly uncomfortable with their meeting today.
“Good, thank you Mr. George. Happy to work with you.”
Aciel ended their meeting with a handshake, and a short smile that looked stiff from his face. The man then asked George for permission to leave the meeting room first because he had other business that he had to finish in his room.
While Sian was tidying up his dossiers strewn across the table, George suddenly walked up to him and gave the man a sincere smile. “Can we talk to you for a minute?” george asked calmly. A little explanation on Sian would probably make the man better today, thought George who was still faithfully waiting for Sian's answer in his place.
With a heavy sigh, Sian nodded and decided to return to his place so that he could listen to whatever George wanted to say to him.
“So what do you want, George?” Sian takes the formality between them for granted, and chooses to treat George like a snot child with an age that is quite a lot adrift of him. Well, Sian wants to show George that he's in charge here. And the man should have shown him his respect.
“I want to apologize if you feel uncomfortable with my arrival this morning.”
“Oh, it's not a big deal. Just relax, George.”
“Yeah, honestly I want to, but it doesn't seem like you're really relaxed, Sian.” George replied lightly. There was an amused tone in each of his sentences as he imagined how the jealous face of Sian this morning looked really laughable.
“You don't have to pretend anymore in front of me, you're jealous of me aren't you?” george was on target. Pias Sian's face instantly turned a crimson red, having just been humiliated by George.
“I'm fine.” elak Sian fast. Currently both of Sian's hands were clenched under the table, preparing to hit George's annoying face if the man dared to humiliate him once more.
“Do not make Olivia sadder. He has told me about your attitude. And I guess I'd like to apologize if my attitude was too rude for disturbing the peace of your life and Olivia's. But really, I have no intention other than to re-establish a friendship with Olivia. After hearing all of her very sad stories in the past, I became guilty of her because I was not there for her when she needed help. And now I want to thank you for sacrificing so much for Olivia's happiness. I'm so proud of you.”
Sian was stunned in his place and still could not digest the words of George that sounded mature enough compared to him who was too childish to deal with all the things that had happened to him since yesterday's. His jealousy makes him not objective in judging George, but the man never once had more feelings than a friend to Olivia.
“I'm engaged.” George showed a white gold ring on his ring finger. And the man chuckled slightly as he looked at the shock imprinted clearly from Sian's face. “At this time I am still waiting for my fiancee to complete her master's education from Colombia University.” added George casually who managed to make Sian more and more dead lice because obviously his jealousy yesterday was completely unreasonable.
“Then congratulations for your engagement.”
Finally there was nothing more to be said about Sian than to congratulate him with a stiff tone and a face as red as a tomato because it was too faceless in front of George. He had accused something that was not right to his wife and also the kind man in front of him. After this he must immediately apologize to Olivia and correct all these ridiculous mistakes.
“Thanks. I'll make sure you guys get my wedding invitation when I get married to my fiancee later. See you next time, Mr. Sian. Happy to work with you.”
Sian was still glued to his place with a stupid face after George left leaving him with an annoying smile that was clearly imprinted on his face. Unfortunately at this time Sian was too embarrassed just to face George, so when the man left with a smile that implied ridicule, Sian was only able to silence his lips while giving a pushy look towards the man.
“Hey, I heard everything.” Aciel's tease from the end of the door with a loud laugh that managed to make Sian instantly aware of his daydream.
“Fuck you, Ace!”
