Nathan stared at Laila's face in silence as the woman was busily wrapped around the bandage over her injured wrist. For a long time he had not observed Laila's face in this close distance. It felt like he was very sorry because he had once wasted Laila. Laila is a good woman who never demands anything from her. It was just the woman's father and adoptive mother that made her become sultry and made her think of replying to their ridicule with her brilliant success. But it turns out he had to pay the price of his success with his precious wife. If only time could play, he wanted to fix everything and get back to Laila.
“Lai, thanks for the bandages.”
After Laila finished putting the last bandages together, Nathan immediately thanked the woman for her kindness, who was still willing to treat the wounds of a jerk like him.
“No problem, after all it was all also because of my fault. Are you able to do activities with your hands that are rebounded like that?”
“Oh, that's no problem. My assistant will help me, so this is no problem.” replied Nathan casually. Laila then again busied herself with a P3K box whose contents scattered on the table. The atmosphere between them also suddenly became silent, making Nathan feel strange and uncomfortable.
“So, how are your father and adoptive mother now?”
Nathan tries to open up the conversation between them by making small talk about Laila's adoptive father and mother. Although he hated those two enough, but right now it was just that topic that came to his mind. After all, she knew that Laila was an orphan who had spent her childhood in an orphanage, so she could not ask the situation of Laila's parents to the woman.
“They are well, it has been more than half a year they live in Sweden. Looks like they want to spend their old time there.”
“What? Sweden?” nathan shouted in disbelief. Hearing Nathan sounding excessive made Laila feel annoyed and told the man to slightly shrink his voice.
“Sial! So after they destroyed my home life, they decided to stay in Sweden! Really dickhead. I should not have been immediately provoked by emotions and decided to spur my career to sacrifice Laila.” Nathan's wrath in the heart.
“What's up? You seem to be very surprised by the news?” ask Laila curious. Nathan answers Laila's question with a small slit. He then took the initiative to grab his food and Laila who was just lying on the table.
“Eat, I deliberately bought you this spicy roast for you at your favorite restaurant.”
Seeing the sincerity of Nathan's eyes, Laila finally decided to accept the food. After all, he had wanted to devour the food since, but his high prestige prevented him from devouring the very tempting beef menu.
“Thanks.” says Laila slowly. The woman began to pierce the meat of her excited cow with a fork while dabbing the rest of the sauce attached to the wall of the lunchbox she was holding. But when he was about to put the piece of beef into his mouth, suddenly Nathan's soft sound made him fixated on the spot and made him undo the intention to devour the cow's milk.
“When time can be repeated, I want to fix everything."

“Arggh...who the hell bothers me while listening to a fairy tale?” gerutu Eden was upset. He immediately stopped Laila who was busy telling stories because she needed to pick up the incoming call to her phone.
“What's up, Ace? I was busy with Laila and Olive.” grumbled Eden upset. Olivia, who was sitting next to him, took her ears a little seriously because she was afraid that Aciel's call was related to their children messing up in the office.
“Where is Louise's milk? Blue or green jar?”
“Toples green. Ciara's milk blue jar. Is there nothing else important?” eden asked before he turned off his phone. He was already impatient to hear the follow-up story of the very interesting Laila.
“Yes, where are you now?”
“The Cosmopolitan's. I was listening to a fairy tale from Laila. Then I turn the phone off. See you, baby, I love you. Bye!” eden's end was rushed without giving any chance for Aciel to speak. She was afraid that her husband would make her lose time to listen to the fairy tale love story Laila and Nathan.
“So where we were?”
After entering his phone safely into his sling bag, Eden again enthusiastic to listen to the follow-up story from Laila.
“Drink first, Ed. Aren't you thirsty?” olivia asked as she pushed her lemonade glass closer to Eden.
“Thanks, Olive. I am indeed thirsty.”
“Alright, I will continue my story again.” Laila said with a small smile on her face.
Laila stared into Nathan's bead and waited for the man to resume his words. Beef that was ready to eat had to hang in the air because of Nathan's words that surprised him.
“To be honest I feel sorry about all the things that happened in the past. Laila, i. mphhhhfff.”.
“Ck, you talk too much. You better eat that roast because I've been starving since.”
Laila ruthlessly stuffed a piece of grilled meat into Nathan's mouth while the man was talking. Nathan himself was upset, but finally he gave up and decided to chew the roast slowly. His hope of having a serious talk with Laila was wiped out. The woman really did not want to hear anything from him, even if it was just an apology or a brief explanation of the cause of his selfishness.
“I've forgiven you, so you don't have to apologize to me anymore.” said Laila indifferently while chewing her grilled meat delicately. While eating, Nathan stared at Laila's face at a glance as he exhaled slowly. Even though Laila had forgiven him, but the guilt was still there and lodged in his heart. Her heart will never calm down before Laila actually returns to her or Laila does find another man better than her.
“Do you like it?”
Laila looked up at her face with a mouth full of grilled meat. The woman gulped it down a bit to choke on Nathan's question.
“You mean?”
“Do you like that food? We have not eaten together for a long time, so maybe your favorite food has changed.” said Nathan reasoned, when in fact he only wanted to open a conversation with Laila after a long silence that enveloped them.
“Enak, I still like it.” replied Laila briefly. The woman again became indifferent to Nathan and preferred to finish her grilled meat in silence. He was still angry at the man's actions all along. And even though he had forgiven Nathan's attitude in the past, but he still did not accept with the careless attitude of Nathan who always ruined his wedding party so far.
“Laila, looks like I'm going back to my room now. You okay if I leave now?” nathan asked as he tried to wear his suit with one hand. Laila stared lazily at Nathan
and finally he softened his heart a little by helping Nathan to put on his white coat.
“Of course it's okay, I'm used to living alone.” replied Laila Sakarstik behind Nathan. The man smiled wryly with his face deliberately turned to the left so that Laila did not see the look of disappointment on her face. It turned out to be that bad in Laila's eyes.
“Alright, thanks for the bandage and the help. Have a nice day.” Nathan said before the man stepped foot to leave his ex-wife's room. Laila then returned to eating her food in silence. There was a strange feeling that suddenly infiltrated his heart after Nathan left. But since he decided to part with Nathan, he has promised himself to forget all his past with Nathan and all his bitter memories with him. But after Nathan returned to pursue his heart, he faltered a little. He was not sure if he would remain frozen even though Nathan each time spread warmth in his heart. He admitted, Nathan is now much warmer and more caring for him than he used to be when they got married. But he himself could not be that easy going back to Nathan, because he did not know if Nathan had really changed or was just pretending to get his heart.

Nathan walked hurriedly into his room while occasionally glancing at the clock that was coiled around his wrist. Today he had a meeting with an association of surgeons and hospital leaders, but unfortunately he forgot about the important files left on his desk. So he had to retrieve the file immediately before the old doctors blamed him for arriving late.
While still running, Nathan asked his assistant to go first to the meeting room on the eighth floor and the senior doctors might have been agitated for too long waiting for him.
“Lisa, you go upstairs first. Tell those senior doctors if I'm preparing my files. Five more minutes I'll be right after”
Lisa clasped obediently and immediately darted away leaving Nathan who was struggling to open the door because of his bandaged hand.
“Ck, why don't I ask him to open the door first.” decak Nathan is upset at himself. He also tried to press the doorknob in front of him with his arm because his right hand was still a little painful due to being hit by a car yesterday.
Cclek
Finally after many attempts, Nathan was able to open the wooden door and immediately go inside. However, when he was inside, he found his best friend was sitting relaxed while enjoying a cup of coffee with pleasure.
“What are you doing here? You broke into my room without permission.” angered Nathan at Lucas as he walked over and over to collect important files that he would present after this.
“I'm waiting for you and... Nath, what's with your hand?”
Lucas stared in wonder at Nathan's bandaged left wrist. Though yesterday his best friend had just been hit by a car that caused his right hand to be injured, but now the man already has a new wound again on his left hand.
“You get another tantrum from Laila?”
Nathan glances at Lucas from his desk, then he returns to his files still scattered on the table.
“Didn't Laila go on a rampage often? So the answer to your question is yes.”
“Ck, your ex-wife is a beast, Nath, yesterday she almost hurt me on the road. Why are you still persistent to get it if his behavior is so terrible like that?” lucas asked curiously, but tucked a scorn in it. Nathan stared intently at Lucas while still focusing on the files he was tidying up.
“You don't know what Luc feels like, because you've never been married and had a divorce. If you're married later, be a good husband, and don't be like your asshole best friend
Lucas was stuck in place with Nathan's answer that was very unexpected. He thinks Nathan will
he replied with a joke, but on the contrary, Nathan seemed too swept away by his guilt for Laila all this time.
“Nath? Looks like you're getting sick. Are you okay?” lucas asked concernedly as he reached out his hand to touch Nathan's forehead, but Nathan instantly removed the hand quickly from his face as he had to immediately meet his investors in the boardroom.
“Do not try to touch my face, your hands are dirty and not sterile!”
“Yakk, you're good. My hands are still holy, not contaminated with the body of a woman like you. You pathetic widower!” lucas won't lose. Nathan chose not to respond to Lucas' hurtful remarks. Right now the meeting is far more important than just Lucas' useless sneer.
“Whatever you say, I don't care!”
Blarr
Nathan shut the door of his room hard and immediately ran towards the nearest elevator a few meters away from where he was standing. While Lucas looks so shocked to hear the sound of a very loud door boom. Whereas all this time he thought if Lee Nathan was a good man who would not do such anarchy after he mocked him with words that are quite painful.
After Nathan's death, Lucas immediately opened his phone to repel the boredom that afflicted him. His intention to come to Nathan's room was to talk about the strategy Nathan would use to conquer Laila, but unfortunately his best friend was busy taking care of meetings and also new projects that he might do with his associate, so he had to be a little patient to wait for Nathan to finish the meeting.

Suddenly Lucas felt his phone vibrate slowly over his hand. Curiously, Lucas opened his phone to read a new message that had just entered his inbox. And when the message had opened perfectly, Lucas immediately smiled thinly reading every row of sentences listed on his phone screen.
‘If you meet Nathan today, please remind him to change his bandages. He fell because of me. I trust you, Luc.’
“Hmm, apparently he is not as scary as I thought.” muttered Lucas amusedly while imagining the face of the sender of the message.
