The Storm (One Hundred Twenty Nine)

            Eden frowned worriedly after hearing Olivia's story about Scout's arrival last night at her home. The man had clearly spread a terrible terror for Olivia and the man was also increasingly intent on ruining Olivia's household with Sian.

            “Do I just drop this baby?”

            “Do not!” scream Eden fast. “Do not think foolishly. Olives. It will harm yourself.” said Eden turned soft. Slowly she stroked Olivia's brown mane, then pressed the woman's shoulders gently to make her calmer.

            “That guy will keep bothering me, Ed. Especially if she knows I'm pregnant with her child. If I abort this fetus, the problem will be solved soon. I will confess to Sian about the incident, and we will be fine because there is no baby.” Olivia said hesitantly. So far it's just an idea that's been popping up in his brain. Maybe Sian will indeed be sick, but it will not be as bad as if Sian knew if he was pregnant with another male fetus.

            “But Sian will get angry if something bad happens to you while you're having an abortion. No one guarantees the procedure does not produce any harm to you.”

            Olivia's shoulder slumped just like that, her heart slumped at the explanation from Eden. What the woman said was true. If everything goes well, he will indeed be spared from various kinds of vile accusations that will be aired by Sian. But if that fails, the problems that befall him will also get more complicated. In addition, he faced a lifelong feeling of sin for killing a small creature who did not pray.

            Olivia really wanted to shout loudly at this moment. He wants to escape all the tightness that has been afflicting him since the appearance of the man. And when he looked at Justice's face this morning, he felt even more sinful toward the little girl. What will be his fate if one day he finds out his mother had made a mistake with another man. The child will get a sister whose face does not resemble his. Their eyeballs will obviously be born different because the Scout has blue eyeballs, which are likely to also decrease in their offspring.

            “According to Aciel you should tell Sian as soon as possible. Don't let him know it from others.”

            “You told Aciel?” ask Olivia nanar. That man must hate him so much now. He did not know that he had betrayed his best friend. She threw her body at another man while her husband was in pain. What kind of wife is she? Even he wouldn't be able to do this if Sian didn't give him one of his precious eyes. He's evil! What a mean and petty! He hates himself.

            “Olive, don't hurt yourself. I know this was just an accident.”

            “But the accident was fatal, Ed!” reply Olivia hard. He was already suffering from severe frustration. Moreover, Scout also spread terrible terror on him. Obviously the man would still bother him after this. Either that in the near future or in an unspecified time later.

            “Better you come with me now.”

            “Where?”

            “To the obstetrician. We need to check your fetal condition. Sometimes it's just a testpack, it's invalid.”

            “Are you taking me to see Laila?” ask Olivia horrified. He was obviously afraid of having to deal with another close friend. Then he had to tell me everything again from the beginning. Stirring up the feeling that had been completely formless chaos.

            “We go to another doctor. For now Laila and the others haven't yet come to know. At least we make sure the existence of the fetus first. Then we can devise a strategy to tell this to Sian.”

            “Oh Olivia immediately embraced Eden gratefully while shedding all the tears on Eden's comfortable shoulder. No longer know what his fate would be if Eden wasn't in his life. Besides Sian, Eden is a much-needed friend of Olivia's. The woman was so kind, always giving her input to become better in the future.

            “Then let's go. At two I have an appointment with Laila.”

            Isn't this annoying? That's what Sian kept thinking when he had to go back to his house when he forgot to bring his wallet with him. Oh my God, isn't he so careless? Last night he forgot to put the purse on his bedside. Though usually the wallet never came out of the pocket of his pants and will continue there before he moved it to the pocket of the other pants when he will leave for the office. So long story short, last night he just came out to buy a snack at a mini market near the complex. Then he put the purse on the nightstand as Justice clamored loudly in his room, asking him to accompany him to play while eating potato chips. Because of that this morning he was completely unaware if he forgot to put the wallet in his trouser pocket, and just left for the office without any worries. It was only when he stopped on the subway to buy a hotdog that he became confused because he could not find his wallet anywhere. Fortunately, he has a hundred dollar cash that he often tucked in the drawer dashboard of his car, so he does not need to feel embarrassed because he can not pay hotdog order.

            “Where's Olivia?”

             Immediately after parking his car, Sian was greeted by Justice's nanny who was accompanying his little daughter on a bicycle. He was a little surprised when he did not see Olivia standing around Justice as usual. Well, Olivia is a housewife who is not as busy as working women. Practically her job at home was to cook and follow wherever her daughter moved. But Sian finally chose not to bother because Olivia was probably going to Eden's house to gossip.

            Just as he expected, inner Sian was satisfied. After giving a small kiss to her daughter, Sian entered the house and rushed towards her room. There was another one-hour meeting with Aciel, Scout, and the architect who got the tender for the Ford Company factory building. So Sian can not linger at home so that he is not late to come to the meeting.

            “There you apparently.” muttered Sian was happy and immediately grabbed his black wallet in a hurry. When he turned around, his shoe soles kicked his wife's small closet until one of the drawers in the closet was pushed out. Sian quickly pushed the drawer again to close. But the tail of his eyes suddenly saw something that looked familiar to him. Two white testpacks that both feature two blue stripes.

            “What is this Olivia's?” sian muttered beginning to suspect. He then immediately put the object in his pocket and took it to the office. Later when returning from the office he will ask Olivia about the two testpacks.

            Imagine if Olivia was pregnant, it just made Sian grim. Long before he knew the dirty and free black world, he still held on to the understanding that a woman can conceive just by sleeping alone with a man. But now, after he had lived a life that was too multifaceted, that understanding became extremely ridiculous for him. Obviously a woman can only conceive after having an **** relationship with a man. And now his wife is pregnant, while he is not in a condition to have an affair ****. That's funny! batin Sian riled. He doesn't know what else

what he will tell Olivia later related to the testpack. What is clear is that he hopes that this terrible thought does not poison his brain, which is needed to work on new projects targeted by Aciel, to be completed before the end of the year.

            Olivia listens to Jack's doctor, Jackson Masville, in earnest. Every word that the old man put out was well absorbed and lived.

            “It's seven weeks...”

            Finally the thing he was waiting for was also said by the doctor. Gynecological age! He was very curious to know how old his fetus was, and it turned out that it was already quite large. So at that time there was already the formation of a fetus in his womb. Even when he was in the villa, the fetus was already stuck there. Olvia felt dizzy remembering that. Can't imagine if the one he met was Laila, he would definitely be more dizzy. It was fortunate that Eden had many doctor acquaintances. They today went to another hospital further away from Eden so that they would not meet Laila or Nathan. It was done Eden solely to make Olivia more comfortable. Although Olivia does not tell how she feels now, Eden is quite aware of it and feels like she wants to give her best for Olivia.

            “Everything is in good condition. You're lucky.”

            Gently Eden rubbed Olivia's flat stomach as they finished dealing with Jack's doctor. They were currently sitting outside of Jack's doctor's room to discuss some of the things they needed to do after this.

            “Not so lucky, Ed. If only this was baby Sian, how happy I was to face this situation.” complained Olivia for the umpteenth time. The tail of his eyes twitched uneasily watching every patient or nurse passing by in front of him. Never in his mind was such an excruciating feeling like this. He had no idea how to tell Sian later. If he continued to delay, Sian would get even more angry. At least next month, his stomach will grow. That would make Sian suspicious of her since the man had never touched her for months. Then the second question that became the burden of his mind, if Sian asked who the father of the baby was? What will he answer? Whose name he would give to Sian, as he could not possibly carry the name Scout in their conversation. According to Eden the man will still keep in touch with Sian at least until the new factory building for Ford Company is completed. Construction for the new plant of Aciel has not yet begun. At least two weeks later, new heavy equipment will be brought in to transport the materials and various materials needed to build the plant. So Olivia thought, Sian would even meet Scout often until this baby was born. My God, he is very upset about his fate right now.

            “Do not think too much about things that will not necessarily happen to you.”

            “But at least I have to prepare myself, Ed.” reply Olivia weakly.

            “You should take good care of this baby. He's your son.”

            “Ya, and that disgusting man.” said Olivia cynically. She really hates being reminded of her baby status. The baby contains the Scout Voyage gene! It would remind him of his sins for a lifetime. He will live with the child, and will continue to remember that he once made a very fatal mistake.

            “Do not like that. There are many people who are trying to get offspring. You should be grateful for what God has given you.”

            “Thankful for the baby of another man? You're crazy, Ed!” snapped Olivia wrathful. Eden looks just silent, not at all want to retaliate because he knows how messed up Olivia's mind because of her condition. Now rather than getting angry, he actually wanted to rub Olivia's back gently so that the woman did not continue to burden him with her hatred for the man named Scout Voyage.

            “We better go home now. I have to see Laila at two.” Eden glanced at her watch which had shown at one o'clock in the afternoon. “I will take you directly to home.” said Eden again gently. As she stood up, Olivia immediately held her hand and hugged her tightly. The woman cried a sigh on her shoulder while muttering an apology so many times that she choked on her own tears.

            “It's okay. I know what it's like. I was once in your position.” muttered Eden when her memory of when she first woke up from a coma again infiltrated her brain. Perhaps what he felt was not much different from what he felt at this time. Feelings of fear and hate for having been tainted by a hated man. But luckily, she did it with the right person, her husband. So that feeling slowly faded, and it was almost forgotten before Olivia cried as she pleased on her shoulder.
