Don't Leave Me (One Hundred Eleven)

            Lucas forcibly puts Laila in his car with Laila, who grumbles at the man. While Lucas seemed indifferent and immediately stepped on the gas pedal strongly leaving the spacious church courtyard.

            “Lucas, what exactly are you doing? You ruined my wedding to Mack. If mom gets mad at me because I humiliated her in public, you're responsible!”

angry Laila while folding both her hands in front of her chest. Lucas glanced at Laila who was grumbling in annoyance next to him. To be honest he was also embarrassed by his brutal actions today. But how else, someone is currently claiming lives in the hospital and needs help from Laila immediately.

            “Then I'm sorry, but you should have blamed that person, not me. If it wasn't for your troublesome patient, I wouldn't have done this.” Lucas defended himself. Laila rolled her eyes lazily on the grounds of Lucas being so annoying. If this is the case, he himself will also be powerless and blame anyone.

            “Then who is currently claiming lives in the hospital? I haven't replaced my dress with a practice suit, people will definitely feel strange when they see my appearance like this. They'd think I just ran away from my wedding.”

            “Didn't you do it.” sings Lucas slowly, but managed to be heard by Laila and made the woman immediately rampage at him.

            “Yakk, it's all your fault! You are a troublesome friend. And don't forget that stupid guy who's been thwarting my wedding five times. Good thing today he's not..” Laila suddenly stopped her sentence while staring at Lucas in horror. It seems like he just remembered someone.

            “Lucas, do not say if the patient who is claiming life in the hospital is the man.” hiss Laila with a creepy face. Lucas who was next to him immediately gulped his hard-earned saliva as his plans today with that annoying man had been noticed by Laila.

            “Mmm, actually your ex-husband who had planned it.”

            “You two!! You and that stupid man will feel my anger. DIE YOU LUCAS BRAYLE!” laila shouted brutally in Lucas' car to make the man unable to concentrate on driving and made the car she was driving several times out of the designated lane because Laila who hit her arm with strenuously.

            “Aww, that hurts! Lai! Jeez my car.”

            “It's all your fault Luc, you're a bitch. You're evil. Damn you Luc!”

            Lucas finally lets Laila spill all her anger on him. It was free that he stopped Laila's brutal actions and told her to shut up if the woman was currently feeling upset and angry that was so overflowing with her. Whether after this what would happen to his foolish friend, he would definitely get even greater anger from Laila.

            “I swear, you and Nathan will feel my anger.” cried Laila wrathfully before she got out of Lucas' car and slammed the door hard.

            Laila walked into the hospital lobby with wide steps while raising her dress to knee-deep. Dozens of patients and nurses who were standing guard at the reception looked at Laila strangely and there were some small whispers in Laila's shameless manner. A nurse who happened to pass in front of Laila immediately stopped her steps to reprimand Laila because of her attitude that embarrassed the image of the hospital where she worked.

            “Doctor Stanford, what are you doing here in that crumpled-looking wedding dress?” belle asked with scornful eyes. Laila stared in horror at Sister Belle who had clearly interfered with her path.

            “It's none of your business, you better get out of my way because I have a dying patient in the ER.” room

            Laila then walked away leaving Belle alone with a look of astonishment clearly printed on her face.

            “Didn't no one be dying in the ER room? I think there's only a couple of Nathan's nurses and doctors there, lying in one of the cages. Ah never mind, it's none of my business.” muttered Belle indifferently as she walked away leaving the hospital lobby that was getting crowded.

            Meanwhile, Laila was walking towards the ER room while swearing at the stupid man who today had messed up her wedding party. With a single push, Laila managed to open the door of that ER room and instantly gained the puzzled gazes of everyone who was inside there.

            “Stanford doctor what are you doing here?”

            “Where is the dying patient, I want to check it out.”

            Sister Lucy who was standing guard inside the ER room immediately pointed to the second room from the left which was not far from her. And without saying anything, Laila immediately stepped into the room with overflowing emotions.

            Laila pulls the rough white curtains that delimit between the rooms to two and to three. Inside, Laila could see a man lying peacefully with a white blanket covering his body to the neck. Laila furiously walked straight towards the man and pulled the coarse white blanket until the man opened his eyes wide in surprise.

            “What do you mean do this to me?” ask Laila to be angry. Nathan who had just woken up from his sleep immediately smiled strangely like a stupid idiot who looked very sick to Laila.

            “La! Oh, you're finally here too. Look, I just got hit by a car and got a scuff wound on my wrist, do you think this is gonna be okay?” asked Nathan innocently. Laila growled furiously in front of Nathan, and without warning she pressed the wound so hard that Nathan cried out in pain in the room.

            “Laila what are you doing? You want to make me die in pain?”

              Seeing Laila who looked so angry, Nathan finally decided to keep silent without intending to remove Laila's hand from his injured wrist. Let the woman be angry with him and torment him with physical torment, for her it is better than that she torments him with an inner torment which is very painful. And speaking of Lucas, it feels like he wants to hug the man and say a huge thank you because the man managed to thwart Laila's wedding. He could not imagine what his fate would be like if Laila had actually married some obscure men on the outside, he would have been very heartbroken by that fact. Actually today he will infiltrate the church to thwart Laila's wedding party, but he was actually dragged by a car that happened to be passing in front of him. Because his wrist is injured deep enough, he decides to ask Lucas for help to thwart Laila's wedding plans. And to be honest, he had no idea what way Lucas would drag Laila out before the ceremony, most importantly right now the woman had stood before him and was still with the same status, a beautiful young widow.

            “What exactly did Lucas do to you?” nathan asked calmly as he looked at Laila inside. Feeling stared at with those annoyingly sad eyes, though, Laila chose to turn her face to the side so that she would not have to look at the annoying man who today destroyed her image again in front of dozens of invited guests and also her future father-in-law.

            “You just ask him. Nath, please stop interrupting my life. Have you been dissatisfied that you ruined my wedding five times and added to it today, then you've messed it up six times. You think I'm not ashamed of all your miraculous deeds? After all, our marriage will never be back to full life. You and me, we can't be together. You better find another woman and marry her so you don't keep interfering with my life. I'm tired of Nath, I'm tired of all your ridiculous deeds that don't show you at all as a grown man and as a bright young docrer. Please let me live quietly with the man who truly loves me.”

            Nathan looked at Laila who was currently looking at him with a pleading gaze that made him feel annoyed with himself. He should not have taken Laila's request to part with him if he still expected her to be his wife. But at that time he was in a difficult time that made him unable to refuse Laila's request for a divorce. After all, he was in a very bad state.

            “I'm sorry Laila, but I love you so much.” Nathan said with a wounded face. Laila who heard that was only able to sigh in anger while alluding to the stupidity of her ex-husband in her heart. It could be that the man echoed the words of love in front of him, while in the past the man always ignored him and was more secure career than he who was pregnant young. Wrongfully

one reason was that he asked Nathan to divorce him because he could not stand the attitude of the man who continuously ignored him and was more ambitious to pursue his career as a surgeon at a successful age. Then in the end he filed a divorce letter to Nathan who was gladly approved by Nathan at that time. How painful Laila was when she found out that Nathan's love for her was only that big. And during Nathan's disappearance, Laila decides to forget Nathan and begins to open a new leaf with her own identity as a young widow. Although at first he felt heavy and disturbed by the new status, but in the end he managed to get through the difficult times smoothly without any obstacles. But those quiet times didn't seem to last long. As Laila begins to open her heart to the other man who is approaching her, Nathan suddenly returns to his life with all kinds of silly behaviors that he always does to her. And it feels like Laila wants to strangle the annoying guy and dump his body into the sea so that he can't bother her anymore and ruin her wedding plans with a man who really loves her by wholeheartedly.

            “You better keep that love statement for another woman, I don't need it. I'm leaving, Nath.”

            Without waiting for a response from Nathan, Laila walks away leaving Nathan visibly wounded in his treatment room. But when the man wanted to mourn his miserable fate, his little heart immediately remembered him treating Laila in the past. In fact, he knew that Laila's very rude attitude was the result of her past actions that had disappointed her until she lost her first child. But if she had the courage to reveal all the truth, Laila might not have sent her a divorce. But the rice had already turned into porridge, all those bad things had happened and made her feel very sorry for Laila. And now he wanted to correct all his past mistakes to atone for his guilt towards Laila. At least he wants to try to restore their marriage ties that have been broken. But if in the end the relationship can not be repaired again, then he will resign and try to accept everything with a sincere heart.

            “Laila, please give me a chance.”

            Lucas sees Laila coming out of the hospital door and stops a taxi in front of the hospital. The man then decided to go into the ER room and see how the state of his stupid friend who might be currently really being claimed lives because he had just received a terrible tantrum from Laila. But he had not had time to enter the ER room, Nathan had already opened the glass door with a tangled face and also with a bandage in his hand that looks messy.

            Did that guy just do boxing with his ex-wife? inner Lucas was concerned.

            “Nath.”

            Lucas called Nathan slowly and made the man look his bitter face at Lucas. With a giant step Nathan approached Lucas and immediately smiled wryly at the man.

            “Thank you Luc, you have helped me today.”

            “Yes that doesn't matter. But what's wrong with your face? You're like a soldier who lost the war. Did Laila just go berserk with you?”

            “Hahaha, of course. You thought what Laila would do to me after I destroyed her sixth wedding party.” Nathan replied with a forced laugh. Lucas patted Nathan's shoulder softly to calm the man down. Although he knows that Nathan is wrong about this, he is amazed by Nathan's persistence in getting Laila back. The man willingly humiliates himself in public to prevent Laila's marriage to men who he thinks are no better than Nathan. But it can not be denied if the mistake made Nathan is indeed very fatal. The man steadfastly ignored Laila who was pregnant with her child and made the woman stressed until miscarriage. And she thinks Laila must have taken some time to forgive Nathan's past irresponsibility.

            “Are you going to get discouraged after Laila scolds you all out?”

            “Redy? Of course not! You think I'd give up that easily just because Laila scolded me? Cih, I'm not that weak guy Luc. Laila's anger was no barrier to getting Laila back into my arms. Instead I will work harder so that Laila can forgive me and get back into my arms.”

            “Hmm, yes well I believe you. So what's your next plan to get Laila back?” asked Lucas curiously. But it seems that Nathan has not yet wanted to reveal his next plan to bring Laila back into his arms. The man just smiled mysteriously at Lucas, snapping his finger in the air.

            “I've got an idea. See you Luc, I have to meet Laila.” saying goodbye to Nathan with a face sparkling while running out leaving Lucas who is still staring at the place with a look of disbelief. He thought his best friend was amazing. It was like he had no pain in his heart, so as much as Laila refused him and struck him with all sorts of harsh words, it felt like Nathan would never waver and retreat with his original purpose.

            Laila walked violently into her apartment clamping a cell phone next to her right ear.

            “Mack, please reconsider your decision. I'm really sorry for today's incident, it's all completely out of my hands, I don't know if that patient is going to take a life when we're going to do the wedding vows.” please Laila weld on Mack. The man who was currently talking to her over the phone only responded to Laila's scolding with a heavy sigh. The man seemed unable to change his already unanimous decision.

            “I'm sorry Laila, our relationship can't continue anymore. Mom was furious over the incident of not wearing it this morning and I couldn't argue with my mom's wishes. Hope you get another guy better than me.”

            The connection was cut off just like that before Laila let out a word of self-defense.

            “Halo Mack, Mackenzie! Mackenzie Bertinolli, hello! Arghh, fuck. It's all because of that fucking Nathan. Arghhh!!” erang Laila was upset in the lobby of her apartment to make some apartment residents who saw her strange behavior immediately turned full of question marks to Laila who was currently stomping her legs annoyed towards the elevator that had opened.
