The Romantic Story of Them (One Hundred Eighteen)

“Coffee.”

            “Thank you, you're very kind, Ed.”

            Eden placed the white tray he carried with him while smiling knots at Kriss. Of the many men who were sitting in a circle, only Kriss appreciated his arrival with four cups of coffee that he had brought with him painstakingly in a distended stomach. Even her own husband did not look at her and was just busy chatting with Nathan and Sian.

            “How old are you, Ed?” kriss asked while watching Eden's distended belly hidden behind her silk nightgown.

            “Six months. Wh why? Does it look like you're hugging a balloon?” ask Eden jokes. He knew if the content this time was greater than usual because people continue to be amazed with his super distended stomach which is just entering the sixth month.

            “Not really. But that's good, your family will be more crowded after this.”

            “Of course, he brought two children at once.” cletuk Nathan who suddenly turned his head towards Eden.

            “Your babies are twins?” ask Sian not to believe it. He then looked at Aciel sharply and snorted furiously afterwards. “You never told me.” lamented Sian was upset.

            “You never ask.” replied Aciel accordingly. His right hand was then stretched out to pick up the coffee that Eden had provided, and at once the woman pointed it at the black glass with a golden line in the far right corner.

            “Copy is special for you, with only one teaspoon of sugar.” Eden said. Aciel only raised his eyebrows at a glance, then took out his cup and drank it.

            “So what's the gender?”

            “What, Nath?” aciel asked Nathan who was sitting right next to him.

            “Are you not his father, why ask me?” sniff Nathan just like that. Looks like Aciel now has a new, balanced friend. They were both cold-tempered men who preferred to behave as they wished without caring about their image. At least that is what Eden managed to capture from the interaction between Aciel and Nathan so far. They match.

            “You doctor, so I submit that question for you to answer.” said Aciel casually.

            “Ck, what kind of answer is.” Nathan glanced lazily at Aciel, then he picked up his cup of coffee and turned his head with an annoying face towards Sian. “You can ask my wife. He's his doctor.” added Nathan quickly with a big smile on his face. He knew that he had just upset Sian half to death with his attitude.

            “Damn you!” maki Sian hard. It made the three women together to come out of the house while giving a look of horror towards Sian because the sound of Sian's screams could wake their children who had been hard-earned they were dragged to the place sleep to fall asleep immediately.

            “Alright, now girls squad is coming. What do you think?” ask Aciel while whistling teasingly. A moment of talk about the prospective children Eden and Aciel forgotten by them, replaced by the noise of Jessica and Laila who began to chat about their busy lives as doctors and designers.

            “Lai...” call Eden soft with a face made as sweet as possible. Instantly Laila was alarmed, and she began to avoid the pleading gaze of Eden that looked disgusting in her eyes.

            “Ace, your wife has gone mad.”

            “Yah indeed.” replied Aciel casually. He seemed to enjoy the togetherness of Eden with his girl squad friends. He thinks it's much better than Eden hanging out with his old, obscure friends.

            “Continue your inspiring love story.”

            “Ck, why are you so obsessed with my past stories? Why don't you obsess over your own love story?” decak Laila is upset. He doesn't want to continue, but it feels a little strange when he has to tell his past that is quite messy with Nathan.

            “Yes actually I wanted to, but I've forgotten some of the story because of the accident that happened to me at that time. Come on continue again.” please Eden with a face made as sweet as possible. The longer Laila tickled, the more nauseous her stomach was because she had to see the face of Eden who looked so contrived in front of her.

            “All right, now sit down and listen to the next story.” said Laila luluh. Nathan who saw the behavior of his wife and also his three friends became curious and began to put his ears firmly to listen to the story intended by Eden.

            “What the hell have they been talking about since?” sian did not understand. Nathan who was next to him immediately told the man to shut up and listen to Laila's story that had just begun.

            “Shut up and listen!”

Laila scrunched her forehead riled up while rolling here and there on her bed. He faintly heard the typical laughter of a very noisy man from the front room. Laila lazily began to unravel her blanket and walked downstairs to scold anyone who had awakened her from the dream world.

            “Woww... Good morning pregnant mom.”

            Laila stared intently at Lucas as she rolled her hair up. The woman walked lazily prostrating a kitchen to take the milk that Nathan usually prepared for her early in the morning.

            “Lai, I've prepared milk for you.”

            “Does it always look sexy when you wake up?”

            Nathan hit Lucas hard on the head and made the owner complain in pain.

            “I know what's in your brain, quickly wipe that dirty brain of yours out of the mind about Laila, because I will not hesitate to hit you again if you are still thinking about Laila.” said Nathan upset who managed to make Laila a little disturbed by the man's screams.

            “Ck, can you guys calm down? You have disturbed my deep sleep with the noise of your laughter. What are you doing here anyway? Not usually you come this early.” Laila insinuated the saccharstik on Lucas. The woman sits herself on one of the sofas while stroking her distended stomach which looks more prominent behind the rough sweatshirt she uses. Occasionally Laila massage his back that feels sore since the age of the womb is getting bigger. Nathan who saw Laila looked tired immediately stood aloof to help the mother of the child to reduce the bit of aches that Laila felt lately.

            “Why don't you get married soon? Look, you guys already look like real married couples.”

            “Luc, you're getting noisy!” laila's sweat is fierce. While Nathan who was helping to massage Laila's back just sniffed his shoulders lightly with Lucas' comments. He himself seemed to have no thought of his marriage to Laila since his proposal was always rejected by Laila many times. Though he has tried various ways so that Laila is willing to accept his application. But the various romantic ways that he took did not melt Laila's heart and actually made Laila more sadistic when rejecting him. Then in the end he chose to give up and let their relationship flow like water. For her to see Laila being by her side and being able to conceive her child healthily, that was enough. He now does not want to ask God for more after all the goodness that God has given him until now his relationship with Laila has improved.

            “So you will let the baby be born without a father?”

            “I never wanted it, I just wasn't ready to get married.” deny Laila fast. He slightly straightened his legs forward and asked Nathan to stop his massage because he already felt better.

            “But you already contain that big Lai! What would people think out there if you weren't actually married at all.”

            “Sorry, but I've been married, so don't overdramatize the words.” Laila's correction is quick. Lucas snorted angrily and seemed unwilling to continue his confrontation. He now actually felt angry and annoyed at Nathan who was considered too relaxed with the fate of his household. It felt like he wanted to strangle the two people who were sitting casually in front of him at this moment.

            “Nath, why are you quiet. Do you want to be hung like this by Laila? You had to force her or maybe drag her to church to marry you. As a friend I feel concerned about you.” ragged Lucas was anxious but only responded to Nathan with a twitch of the shoulder.

            “You take it easy Luc, one day we will definitely surprise you with our wedding news.”

            “Or maybe you will be surprised by our relationship ending.” sambar Laila suddenly while walking away leaving Lucas who looks shocked in the living room, he said, not expecting the words of a pregnant woman who is currently walking towards the bathroom.

            “Nath, you are indeed a tough guy.” Lucas comments slowly while shaking his head in an inexhaustible manner.

            “So this is what you've been talking about since? My past?”

            “Ssshhhh!!”

            Nathan immediately gets an attack from Eden when suddenly the man interrupts Laila's story.

            “You're indulging our disgrace?” ask Nathan sansi. No matter the gaze of protest belonging to Eden who is currently drifting towards him. Now Nathan's focus is only on Laila who is grimacing small towards him while clenching both hands in front of the chest.

            “Says our love story inspires.” replied Laila plain.

            “Yes Lord..” sigh Nathan with a heavy breath. He gave black hair with a blond tinge once while staring in disbelief at the girl squad who now looks like a toddler who really wants a bedtime story from his mother.

            “Call me man, you're not the only one who has a lot of disgrace. Believe me if we both almost have the same complicated love story.” entertain Aciel lightly while embracing Nathan's shoulder next to it. Eden immediately threw a love sign on her husband because the man had made her able to listen to the story of Laila who had been cut because of Nathan's actions.

            “So let's continue the story!” scream Eden spirit.
