Rescue Me (One Hundred Nine)
The night after Eden received the results of his lab examination he looked very lethargic and uninspired. Several times he was seen daydreaming and ignoring the cries of his children, so Aciel repeatedly had to reprimand him who looked like a dazed woman.
“Ed, Louise calls you.”
I don't know how many times the man reprimanded his wife who kept daydreaming since he came from the hospital this afternoon.
“Mommy, Louise wants milk.” said the two-year-old boy looks sullen because it has been ignored by his mother since.
“Sorry dear, today mommy is having a lot of thoughts.” lied Eden while extending her hand to Louise to make milk together in the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Aciel immediately stared at his wife's departure with a worried feeling. Not usually Eden looks as sluggish and chaotic as it has been. Moreover, the two of them were not in a condition of quarreling or inhabiting each other, so he thought something was wrong with his wife. But he still tried to wait
honesty from Eden, because usually his wife will immediately tell him if he has a problem.
“Daddy, mommy today is weird. Mommy keeps ignoring Ciara and Louise.” her little princess fight with adorable faces. Aciel squatted in front of his daughter's small body to question her situation all day.
“What did mommy do today? Why does mommy look lethargic like that and daydream often?”
“Ciara didn't know, but when Ciara came home from school, mommy wasn't home. Aunt Jane said, mommy went to the hospital.”
Aciel scrunched his forehead confused at Ciara because he did not know if his wife was going to the hospital. Could it be that his wife went to see Laila?
“Alright, later daddy will ask more on mommy. Now it's time for little girl daddy to sleep.”
Aciel carried Ciara's small body and twirled it several times in the air before he brought Ciara up to his room on the second floor. The sound of Ciara's laughter was so excited when the father carried her like a plane makes Louise immediately ran to his father with an envious face.
“Daddy!!! Louise also wants to be carried!”

Eden woke up in the middle of the night with cold sweat drenching her forehead. Just now he had a nightmare about his illness and scared him to death. He then turned his head to the side, where Aciel was currently sound asleep with his peaceful face. Slowly Eden reached out her hand to caress Aciel's face while smiling faintly at the man. As a wife and mother, she was not ready to leave the people she loved. He still wants to live with his small family for decades to come and see his two children grow up. But he can't expect too much of a happy ending from his childhood because there is now a cancer that can at times separate him from life with his little family.
“Ed.”
Aciel's hoarse voice suddenly shocked Eden and made the woman stop the movement of her hand that was stroking the top of her husband's head. The woman looked at her husband gently and asked her husband to go back to sleep. But Aciel got up from his sleep and looked at Eden a little suspiciously.
“Today you look weird, what's up? Are you having a problem? Tell me.” urged Aciel while staring at both of Eden's round beads. Eden tried to end their eye contact and reasoned if she wanted to go to the bathroom to urinate. But Aciel knew that his wife was lying, so he immediately blocked Eden's wrist before she actually stood up from her seat.
“Tell me what is it?” aciel said more firmly. Eden took a slow breath and sat down in front of her husband.
“I'm just tired, why did you push me like this?” ask Eden riled.
“I'm worried about you, today you look weird after going to the hospital. Did you go today to see Laila?” urged Aciel without heeding the annoyed look printed clearly on Eden's face. But without Aciel knowing, Eden is currently nervous because she does not have a reasonable sounding reason to answer the question from her husband. He could not have told Aciel the truth if he tested positive for cancer, he did not want Aciel to know now.
“I'm tired and upset because you're always busy.”
Finally Eden managed to pull out her dust words to answer the pesky curiosity of Aciel.
“Then? I thought you were used to my super busy situation. How many years have you known me and been my wife, so you feel upset like that when I for the umpteenth you guys look busy again lately.” said Aciel with a relaxed face. Eden pursed her lips irritatedly in front of her husband while folding both her hands in front of his chest. Actually it is not the answer that Eden wants to hear, her husband should be more sensitive and try to make time for himself and the children. Moreover, his age now may not be long, they have to make as many memories as before the terrible disease gnawed his body.
“You're a bitch, Ace! What are you doing out there? Do you have another woman you like out there?”
Suddenly Eden alluded to the woman who immediately made Aciel confused. Though previously they only discussed the problem of Eden's bad mood, but suddenly he became involved in their midnight talk that sounded strange.
“Women? You think I've been spending all my days dating these beautiful women out there? Ck, you're too much Ed, if you accuse me like that.” reply Aciel annoyed. Eden suddenly felt a fresh breeze in his head to start preparing his future mother and also his future wife to replace him if he died later. He felt it needed to be prepared early on so that he could be calmer in nature there when leaving his small family to the woman he thought was right.
“Then are you currently interested in a woman?”
“You? What's the matter with you exactly?” ask Aciel without thinking. But Eden looked so serious in front of him, making him feel that something was wrong with his wife's attitude today.
“I'm asking you seriously, Ace. I saw a beautiful employee in your office. Your business partners are no less beautiful. I think they fit you perfectly. And the woman I met yesterday when I picked up Ciara, what was her name? I forgot.” asked Eden while remembering.
“Krystal.” reply Aciel flat. Simultaneously Eden immediately clicked his finger right in front of Aciel's face while showing his sparkling face that made Aciel resentful.
“Yes, Krystal! Ah.. she is a beautiful woman and also smart, if you are with her it will definitely look very harmonious. Or Annabeth who already has one child but just divorced her husband. I don't think Annabeth is too bad, she has a very soothing motherly face.”
Eden enthusiastic. Aciel scrunched his face and began to feel dislike for the direction of their increasingly strange conversation. Moreover, Eden also looks strange, because it is not usually the woman looks relaxed when talking about a woman who has been close to him.
“Ed, I think you're mentally ill. What's the matter with you exactly?”
“Are you accusing me of being crazy? I'm healthy, Ace! Even I am very healthy today.” said Eden fiery.
“Then what do you mean by setting me up with women I don't love at all. You don't look like my possessive wife.”
“It's not good, if I'm not possessive you can approach any woman freely. You no longer need to think of me.”
“Whatever you say, I don't want to listen to your increasingly strange words.”
With a huff Aciel immediately lay on her side leaving Eden who was currently staring at Aciel as she was ignored by her husband while talking about serious issues regarding the future them.
“Aciel, I'm not done yet. We need to talk about the right women for you. Or if you want to go back to Stacie, you can do it. Don't pretend to sleep, Ace.” whines Eden while shaking Aciel's brutal body. But Aciel ignored his wife and kept his eyes closed tight because he felt quite caught off guard by his wife's strange behavior today.
“Sleep, Ed! Don't bother me.”
“But we have to talk about those women.”
“I'm tired!”
And in the end Eden had to swallow the disappointment pill because her husband was completely unwilling to discuss the women further. Though he was eager to provide some of the best prospective wife candidates who could replace his position later.

The next day after their vague talk last night, Eden looked increasingly lethargic and also pale. Several times complained of headaches and he felt if the symptoms of cancer began to appear slowly.
“Louise do not litter the floor again.” Eden's sweat in a soft voice. But the boy did not heed Eden's warning and instead further littered the floor of their living room with the mud he brought from the front yard. Finally Eden was forced to drag the little boy to the bathroom to clean up the remnants of mud that littered almost all the hands and feet of the little man.
“Mommy... mommy, Louise still wants to play!” screech the little boy while thrashing. But Eden swiftly locked Louise's body with both feet so that the little boy could not escape from his arms.
“Mommy is tired, you better play in your room and do not make dirt with mud.” growled Eden riled up. Every now and then Eden held her head that was increasingly throbbing due to Louise's behavior that today is very annoying.
“Now you stay here, and don't go anywhere before mommy comes back, understand!”
Eden looked so firmly at Louise and immediately closed the door of her son's room tightly. After that he immediately worked hard to clean up the entire mess that Louise did. But what irritated Eden the most was that the mud had now begun to dry, so he had to spend extra energy to dredge the mud from the shiny floor.
“Yes Lord, why is Louise today so troublesome.” grumbled Eden still remains crouching on the floor to dredge up the remnants of mud that stuck on the floor.
“Mistress, let me just clean.” A servant suddenly came to Eden and tried to take over Eden's work, but was immediately rejected by Eden because this time he really wanted to clean up all the mess that had been done by his son.
“Go back to the kitchen and continue your work.”
Tests
After the servant passed away, Eden felt something flowing from her nose and made the floor she was on stained with blood. The young mother's reflexes instantly wiped her nose and she found so much blood flowing from her nostrils. A little confused and panicked, Eden pulled a piece of tissue to wipe the blood dripping from her nose.
“Why can I nosebleed?”
Eden cleansed all of her considerable blood while resting on the edge of the sink with a pale face. He then heard a noise coming from the living room and followed by a shout of Louise from the second floor who shouted the name of his daddy repeatedly.
“Daddy!!”
“Where's your mommy? You're dirtying the house again?”
Aciel ruffled her waist upset at her youngest child who today has troubled her mother.
“Aciel.”
Eden looks so weak at the end of the door that connects between the kitchen and the front room. One of the woman's hands was still clutching a tissue full of blood spots, he said, and after that he was seen limp to make Aciel had to move swiftly to catch the body of his wife's lunglai who is currently unconscious in his arms.
“Ed... Eden!”
Aciel patted Eden's cheeks several times and directly carried the helpless woman into their room. But before that he had first ascertained the speed of Eden's pulse so that he did not wrongly give first aid to his wife who suddenly fainted without any apparent reason.

Eden moaned once and started to open her eyes slowly which felt quite heavy. Next to him Aciel still faithfully monitored the state of his wife while regulating the flow of infusion fluid that he put on Eden's wrist that looked pale.
“You want to drink?”
Aciel thrust a glass of water at Eden which was soon achieved by the woman because she felt very thirsty.
“What happened? My head hurts so much.” erang Eden while holding his head. Then Aciel told Eden to lie down again because he felt he could not bear to see the condition of his wife who looked apprehensive.
“You seem exhausted and you fainted after a nosebleed.” obviously Aciel looks calm. Eden then bows her head to the end of the door asking where her children are.
“They were taking a nap. Louise had been making a fuss since you suddenly fainted in front of her, and I told Ciara to accompany her in the room. But a few minutes ago when I checked on him, they were fast asleep hugging, so you don't have to worry. Oiyaa, did you yesterday just do a papsmear check?”
At once Eden's face grew pale as her husband alluded to the matter of the dreadful examination. Though he had wanted to forget about it and concluded that his stall today was just due to fatigue, but Aciel actually returned to make him remember the results of the terrible papsmear examination.
“Why didn't you tell me? What do you feel?”
“Eee..”
“Dan Laila gave the result to me.” added Aciel who made Eden more dead ticks because he could not answer questions from the man.
“Ace, i.. aaku.. I am cancer positive.” Eden said softly and almost like a whisper. The woman did not dare look at Aciel's face and just stared at the ceiling of her room with teary eyes that were about to cry.
“My lab results show that I am positive for stage three cervical cancer. Sorry because I just said it, I'm too scared.”
Aciel frowned incomprehensibly and immediately grabbed the white envelope he had placed on top of the nightstand earlier.
“Since when you had cancer, you've been healthy. It's look!”
Aciel handed the white paper to Eden and told his wife to read the results themselves which turned out to be written negatively.
“Where did you get this? Yesterday I saw positive results!” said Eden did not believe, he also tried to pattern the paper and read the results more carefully to make sure if the vision is not wrong this time.
“I got the envelope from Laila a moment ago, she told me if you got the wrong envelope. The envelope you took for Eden Zukkenberg, not Eden Lutherford.” Aciel asserted with a laugh that almost exploded from feeling silly with his wife.
“Jjso... So I'm healthy? I don't have cancer?”
It felt like Eden wanted to shout loudly and jump on the bed if he was not aware that there was an infusion stuck on his wrist.
“Stupid basis! Look carefully before you take the results of the examination at the hospital. Good thing Laila came to take her straight to me.”
“Then why do I feel so dizzy and nosebleed?”
“Don't I tell you you're just exhausted and malnourished from taking on too many household chores. Tomorrow I will increase the number of servants again so that you are not exhausted like today because from now on you must pay attention to the condition of your body. You're two months pregnant. Doctor Arthur who examined you earlier said that.”
Again Eden was surprised by every information given by her husband. How could she be pregnant if she never felt anything.
“Because you were too busy taking care of Ciara who started school and Louise, you didn't realize you were actually pregnant. And now that you're sober, I'm going back to the office. Krystal is waiting for me to..”
“CAN'T!” eden shouted ferociously with fangs ready to come out from both corners of his lips. While Aciel just laughed casually beside the bed while folding both hands in front of the chest.
“Didn't you want to find your replacement, so for starters I'll try to build chemistry with Krystal.”
“Review if you dare to mess around, I will really leave you with Ciara, Louise, and also this baby I'm having.” threatens Eden earnestly with a raging facial expression that looks so adorable to Aciel. The man then approached Eden and gave a warm kiss on the lips and cheeks of Eden who had now turned red because the woman was blushing.
“Let's relax, baby, until whenever you're going to be my only wife. No matter what happens, I will still love you.”
“Aww... so sweet, thank you, Ace. I promise not to act stupid and short-minded.” Eden said with a stupid face that implies regret.
And that afternoon the atmosphere in the house of the family Aciel has returned to look normal with the noise of Ciara and Louise who are fighting over toys. Meanwhile Eden and Aciel were just observing them from above the sofa without any intention of breaking them up. Let them be busy with the sound of their screams that are noisy, but it sounds reassuring to both of them.
