PERSUADING SIAN

Suddenly, everyone shunned him. It is like living in a strange place without people who love him.

A week had passed since that very damned day. In a day he made trouble with two people who had been very meaningful in his life.

Aciel has shown a very different attitude since that afternoon. He became cold to her and their relationship seemed stiff, only limited to bosses and employees. It all started when Olivia was kidnapped but she never got any message from the woman telling her to help her. At that moment he felt like he had become someone Olivia no longer needed. When the girl lost her home, Olivia seemed fragile and relied on her as the only person she wanted to help. But at that time Olivia did not seem to need his help at all. Instead, the woman actually enjoyed being with Scout until she decided to marry the man.

“Sian... Sian Markle?”

The man immediately gasped at the sound of a scream that sounded so close to him. He looked up and found Eden standing at his desk with a worried look on his face.

“I'm logged in with your secretary's permission.” He spoke with clumsiness. “But you kept daydreaming as I called you by the door. I guess I surprised you yeah.”

He was surprised. He was so shocked that he almost jumped out of his chair. But he won't admit it. Instead, he pretended to be calm by standing up and walking around the table to hug Eden.

“What brought you here? You can hear my heart. I have missed you so much since a week ago.”

Eden immediately snorted after Sian released his embrace. He knew it was just his words that did not really describe his current feelings.

“I'm immune to liars like you. Even Aciel the seducer couldn't fool me anymore with his sweet words.”

Sian grimaced a little and then gestured for Eden to sit on the sofa.

“You didn't tell me you were coming? Any problems?”

“The only problem I get right now is that no one wants to give you this invitation.”

Eden held out a piece of fancy picture paper typical of toddlers. On the surface it was clearly written that it was a birthday party invitation.

Sian immediately grabbed the small invitation card and read it at a glance. It was about a dinner to celebrate the birthday of Leander and Theodora.
