Another Story Of Us (One Hundred Fifteen)

            “Happy birthday, dear.” Jessica kissed Justice's soft white cheeks as she was giggling slowly because Jessica had just tickled her stomach.

            A small party today was held by Olivia and Sian in their new villa a hundred and fifty kilometers away from downtown Vegas. Though it's not really Justice's birthday, it's because the little girl was supposed to be two months ago. Yes, it's a little late to celebrate Justice's birthday, but Sian and Olivia have no other choice because on Justice's real birthday, everyone is busy. Sian was on a business trip to Brazil with Aciel for a week.

            “Thanks for coming, Jess. Sorry I told him suddenly.” said Olivia was not good. Jessica has no problem with any of that. He casually flicked his hand, then placed the gift for Olivia on the table that had been filled with gifts from his other uncles and aunts.

            “Marc was thrilled when I told her she was invited to Justice's birthday party. Well.. You know for yourself if children are not much different from adults, they love parties.”

            “Hai ladies!”

            The loud voice separated Jessica and Olivia from their momentary chat about the children. Laila, the woman who was screaming, looked so excited while holding Hyena in her left hand. Looks like he just came a while ago from a long trip with Nathan.

            “Sorry I'm late. Nath had one operation this morning, so we have to wait for him to finish performing the operation before coming here.”

            “It's okay, thanks for coming. Hello Hyena.” greet Olivia to the three-year-old man who is carrying a gift in his hand. At first glance the little guy looks as sweet as Nathan. He timidly extended the gift he brought to Olivia who had just crouched down in front of him.

            “Thanks Hyena. Your child does not look as active as you say.” commented Olivia while looking up at Laila. But not two seconds the woman looked up, suddenly Hyena had escaped the grasp of her mother's hand, and she immediately ran towards Marc who was playing cars in the corner of the room.

            “Well, did you see that?” laila asked while rolling her eyes lazily. Just wait until the next hour, this villa will definitely become formless because of Hyena's nosy actions.

            “By the way where is that sexy pregnant woman?” Laila looked to the right and left, but what she found was Jessica who was looking at her also with a look.

            “Hai.” saya Laila trying to be friendly. “You don't want to introduce your guests to me, Olive?”

            Olivia who was previously taking care of her little whining child, immediately turned to Laila while patting her own funny forehead. “I forgot. Jessica, this is Laila, my friend and Eden's obstetrician. And Laila, this is Jessica, Sian's best friend and Aciel.”

            Jessica who had previously given a peeking look, instantly turned even sweeter by extending her hand towards Laila. The first impression of course should be good, Jessica thought happily.

            “It's nice to meet you. By the way are you Jessica, the boutique owner in the Las Vegas Valley? One of the best designers who often hold the fashion show?”

            “Accurate once. Turns out you know me.”

            With her usual splashy style, Jessica responded to Laila's words and laughed in satisfaction as it turned out to be that easy to recognize for her brilliant achievements. And he has always loved fame.

            “Of course, who doesn't know you. I even really like your coat design for winter last year.” reply Laila no less splashy.

            “Excuse me, have you forgotten me?”

            “Yes for Eden! Where the hell are you from?”

            Laila immediately hugged Eden warmly and stroked her six-month-old belly.

            “How big is your stomach, Ed.”

            “Hmm... Of course you do not forget the habit of Aciel who likes to plant seeds in my stomach.” Eden said to Jessica. The four laughed together, enjoying their own world as young mothers who felt free because their husbands were busy grilling meat in the back garden with the host.

            “Lai..” call Eden suddenly. The woman with her cherry smile glanced mysteriously towards the furry carpet in the middle of the room that looked so comfortable for the four of them to sit on.

            “What's up?”

            “Let's continue your story.” replied Eden happily. He had been looking forward to this day for quite some time since he could not wait to hear the continuation of the love story of Laila and Nathan in the past. For him the story is like a soap opera that leaves a big question mark if he has not got a happy ending.

            “Now? It's still even too late for a bedtime story, Ed.”

            “It's okay. I guess right now the kids are still engrossed in their excitement, so they won't bother.”

            Laila then rolled her eyes all over Olivia's villa which now looked so messy because their children were busy messing with their own imaginations. Marc and Hyena had become familiar for a while. Now they are busy running around with Louise who is the smallest man among the three of them. Then Ciara and Justice, the two daughters were sitting quietly near Olivia while watching a cooking video that Olivia was playing from her phone. After seeing all that, Laila finally agreed to Eden's request to continue her unresolved love story from months ago.

            “You're talking about what the hell?” jessica did not understand. Since then he just silently watched Eden who was whining at Laila without knowing what was being whined by the pregnant woman.

            “We are talking about the sweetest and most phenomenal love story of its time. You better come with us to listen to the story because you will definitely like.” replied Eden excitedly. It suddenly made Olivia giggled amused at the expression of Eden's face that was so ignorant. He knew Eden was manipulating Jessica at this moment.

            “Alright, because you so want the next episode of the most phenomenal love story, then I will continue it now.” said Laila was calm and started her long story.

            Two days later after an angry incident that occurred in Laila's apartment, Nathan never came to see Laila or just annoy Laila like before. Now Laila's life becomes a little calmer and she can start to forget the presence of the ex-husband who always disturbed her life. But it was undeniable, Laila was a little worried about the man. He felt he was wrong to blame Nathan for defending his pride and saving his honor. Well, so a little bit now he feels involved in their divorce first.

            “Lai, are you okay? You asked me to meet here, and now that you're daydreaming like an undead, what's wrong with you?”

            Laila looked up her face and smiled slightly at the man who was currently looking at her with concern.

            “Lucas, how are you?” ask Laila for a little chat. Lucas sneered at Laila's sudden gesture of greeting him with a face he made up.

            “Ck, your face can't lie, Lai, you're having a problem with that idiot right?” lucas said sneering. Laila chuckled softly with Lucas' reaction on target. These two days he did feel guilty with Nathan, but he did not know what he had to do to relieve the unpleasant feelings, so in the end he decided to see Lucas. Lucas is Nathan's only close friend and also the only man he trusts to know his secret.

            “Hmm, you are indeed a very sensitive man. Actually lately I rarely see it. Though usually.. You know for yourself how his noisy and messy attitude. But for some reason these two days he suddenly disappeared and never raised his nose. Actually I'm really happy that there's no more crazy men messing with my life, it's just that this coincided with our fight two days ago.             “Nathan has an office?”

He was afraid that Nathan would misunderstand and go crazy. Especially before leaving, Nathan had shouted loudly at the door of his room if he would use various ways to get it. He told me that all the problems that happened to us were the fault of my father and foster mother. He seemed to be devastated by a new fact that he had not known. And after some thought, I was also wrong. I let Nathan think that my father and adoptive mother were bad people with his misunderstanding.             Lucas looked closely at Laila's face as he thought of the right answer for the distraught woman. Perhaps her household will end up the same as her previous household because Laila built it with the falsehood of love that is full of ambition to immediately remove Nathan from her heart and mind.

Here, you better come to Nathan's apartment and make sure yourself how the guy is doing.” Lucas handed Laila a piece of paper containing the address of Nathan's apartment. “Maybe he's busy at the moment or something.”

            Laila seemed hesitant to take it until finally Lucas himself crammed the paper into his hands.

            “Ck, you guys are weird. Obviously you two are still in love with each other, why don't you make peace with your past and let Nathan prove his word, not that it would be much better than you spending your time fighting and screaming unimportant in public. As a friend I am quite embarrassed to see it.”

              Lucas widened his eyes in disbelief while shaking his head inexhaustibly. “Again? I thought you'd give up after Nathan always thwarted your marriage. Which other guy is currently close to you?”

            “His name is Charlie Whitbroke, he's the new doctor from Dallas. Actually we haven't had a relationship that's too far, it's just that I feel comfortable talking to him. He was also very gentle with women, and last night he was willing to accompany me overtime in the hospital until one night. Luc, do you think I should give Charlie a chance?”

            Lucas sniffed his shoulders cluelessly while leaning on the back of the chair with an indifferent face. But if Nathan finds out, maybe your relationship with that guy won't last long.”

            “Then don't say anything to Nathan. You should never help her to do crazy things to me. Because this time I want to live quietly with my own decisions.”

            “I told you it's up to you. This time I won't interfere in your or Nathan's problems. It is time for you to solve this problem without involving me.” Lucas said as he raised his hands above his head, indicating that he will not interfere with anything related to the problem of the two strange humans.

            “Don't forget to come to Nathan's apartment, make sure if he's okay and make up with him. If you really don't want to go back with Nathan, tell him the truth. Do not let him continue to be crazy with his ambition to get you. Sometimes I also feel sorry for him who always pretends to be okay, even though I know he has always been

hiding his sadness. But it'd be a lot better if you guys got back together like you used to. I myself feel that you are still in love with each other, only that you may have been too afraid of your bitter stories in the past, so you have always shunned your own feelings for Nathan.”

            “Huh, you're like a love expert. Though until this old age you have not got a partner.” Laila cruel sneer. Lucas snorted angrily at Laila, then he was seen preparing to leave.

            “After this I will definitely get my own partner. Oya, I have to leave now, there are a lot of jobs waiting for me in the office. See you, I hope your problems with Nathan are resolved soon. Ah. and do not ever take rash action by receiving attention from the obscure men who are approaching you, they are not necessarily better than Nathan. So my advice is, you better get back to Nathan."

May you soon find a woman who fits your strange nature.” joked Laila as she stretched out her arms to hug Lucas. The two men embraced each other as a brother and sister. And after that Lucas completely left him alone with the anxiety of his heart to come to Nathan's apartment.
