The Attitude of Vera

Late at night, Adira falls asleep beside Lily as well as the boy. Slowly the door of the room opened and revealed a faint Zein figure due to the condition of the room which was only illuminated by sleeping lights.

He came to check on Lily's condition, seeing Lily can sleep soundly made her feel happy. Because since the accident happened Lily had a sleep disorder that made her sometimes scream in her sleep. Lily's birth mother Starla has an accident while she and Lily are on their way back home from Starla's parents' house, and the fateful accident kills Starla and causes trauma to Lily.

Zein tries to justify the position of Lily's blanket, but because there is Adira next to her, Zein is forced to pull the blanket for the woman.

Zein also felt how day after day since Starla's death there were no more warm laughs in this house. Not only did his children continue to mourn, but Zein himself still could not give up the sudden departure of the woman he loved so much.

The grief that made Zein could not even talk to his children to just give hope and a new spirit, because he himself felt unable. Closing themselves and believing time will restore the situation and reduce their suffering but all of that makes it worse and makes their families used to close each other.

Adira awakens at exactly 5am and quickly prepares to start cleaning herself first so that she can take good care of Lily that day.

At 7 am Lily was awake, Adira helped Lily just wash her face and other body parts because doctors had not allowed her to take a bath. Before long, Lily's breakfast is delivered by Vera's butler.

“ Give me let me feed Lily ” Adira receive that bowl of porridge from Vera.

Lily replied with a small nod today her face was already a little brighter than yesterday.

While feeding Lily, Adira realizes Vera is still in the room.

“ No problem Miss I will wait here only ” replied Vera.

Adira looked at the butler.

“ The doctor said it is better if in this room not too many people, fearing Lily's immunity decreases again. Only the closest people are allowed, so I told you to come out ”

“ But I am also very close to Miss Lily ” denied Vera again.

Adira feels there is resistance and insinuations in Vera's answer this time, she insists that she is even closer to Lily than Adira.

“ My words Vera orders, not something that you have the right to debate ” said Adira, clearly visible changes in Vera's facial expression that looks surprised and annoyed.

“ Sorry good Mistress I will go ” Vera immediately step out of that room.

Adira returns to focus on feeding Lily, while continuing to think about the awkward feelings she felt seeing Vera's behavior and behavior.

Before going to take Lily to the hospital, Adira obviously asked for Vera's help, but not a little Vera told that Lily should not be under to the public hospital. Because Zein wants his family to remain in his privacy.

So quickly healed ” reply Adira tried to convince Lily not to be afraid she will be lonely and Adira will ignore it if she is not sick anymore.

“ Lily should eat a lot and eat medicine well. To get healthy quickly, later when Lily recovers Daddy will take Lily for a walk ” Zein said those words while walking into the room and slowly peeked at Lily's forehead.

Adira is a little surprised by Zein's unannounced arrival.

Lily smiled happily at her Daddy's words.

“ We'll take Mama, won't we Daddy? ” ask Lily enthusiastically.
