She's Already an Aunt

“ Brawl? ” guman Adira surprised.

Adira looked at Aidan as if asking for an explanation, but the boy threw his face away.

Obviously Adira was surprised that Aidan had lied to her, Aidan said the meeting they would attend was only a monthly meeting of parents for school fees and facilities. But now Adira knows that this is a disciplinary meeting because Aidan is involved in brawl.

“ How does the father/mother of what actions should the school give these children? ” ask the principal again.

The parents seemed silent and embarrassed to be here after the misdeeds of their children.

“ I beg the school to reconsider so that this can be done wisely, we as parents do not want the despicable deeds of these children will leak out and further tarnish the surname again ” said a male parent.

“ We also try to do our best for this problem Sir, but I know for myself students who do brawl also from different schools. So we need time to solve this problem ” said the principal.

“ I will increase the number of monthly donations to this school as long as this problem does not leak out, for school-free punishment would sanction what ” said the old man again.

“ Alright then sir we will try our best ” replied the principal with certainty.

...“ What's?! Not that it was a bribery! So the parents try to close this case with money so ” , the inner Adira who was exposed to culture shock the first time to witness for themselves the bribery process is done subtly. ...

“ I will donate more help to this school as long as the children are released from punishment. I don't want my son to receive a sentence of ” said a woman's parents elegantly.

“ Correct I will also increase the number of donations if the school can free children from the punishment ”

The parents were modest with the amount of their respective donation offers. The headmaster and the school staff who were in the room seemed satisfied.

“ Because we can not just ignore the request of the father/mother as a parent, then we will provide relief by not following up on this issue and the school will resolve this issue with other schools involved ” explained the principal proudly.

“ Apparently this disciplinary meeting was held by the school to drain the wallets of these conglomerates, not to prosecute troubled students ” , Adira said in her heart, he could only be speechless at how the meeting could be completed with money.

“ Then we entrust this to you Mr. Principal ” said the parents.

“ Thank you for your father/mother's trust, we are sorry to have taken your time. For that this meeting is finished here only ” said the headmaster with a proud and shameless smile.

The parents immediately moved on, of course Adira also followed.

“ I heard from your school staff is Mrs Brown, the new wife of Mr. Zein Brown ” said the male parents who insisted that the case be closed earlier on Adira.

“ You are right Mr. ” replied Adira potluck.

“ Zein was so relaxed this time that he did not want to spend the funds to free his son, did he start to have to save ” the man replied then passed away.

Adira understands the insinuation, as only she is a parent representative who does not offer any extra money help to the school. But how could Adira be willing to offer help when she just did not know would be in a meeting like this.

“ Aidan explain to me what exactly is this? ” whispered Adira as soon as she held Aidan's hand.

“ Come with me I will explain ” replied Aidan, although annoyed Adira followed the boy.

As soon as they entered the room there gathered three students and one student who participated in the meeting.

“ Who are they? ” ask Adira.

“ They are my friends, wait let alone greet them ” said Aidan.

“ You said I should not embarrass you ” firmly Adira reminded the boy for his words earlier.

“ Relax they can trust ”

“ Don't be so Aidan, however we should introduce ourselves first. Not that she's your mother ” said one of them.

“ Introduce me Kevin his friend Aidan ” he thrust his hand to Adira.

“ I'm Rey, I'm confused what to call because as far as I know you're the same age as us. But of course as the parents of Aidan it is natural we call Aunt ”

“ No need ” reject Adira.

“ I Anne ”

“ I Eron ”

Adira received all their introductions.

“ You do not need to be that formal to me, however I know you must be uncomfortable having to be respectful to people of the same age let alone have to call with the name Aunty. You can call me by the name ” explained Adira.

“ Precisely we will feel uncomfortable if you have to call by name ” reject Kevin.

Adira looked towards Aidan asking for an explanation for this situation.

“ You guys don't call him aunty, he's already aunty. Just call Miss Adira it's better ” said Aidan to his friends.

Adira sighed not knowing what else to do, she also felt like she was in an awkward situation.

“ Then Aidan I will go home now ” said Adira.

“ Can't wait a minute Miss A, I have to explain this situation to you ” Aidan is holding back Adira's departure.

“ Miss A? ” says Eron wonder.

“ Apparently this boy is more disrespectful to mother he continued ” Rey said without a second thought, he immediately got a killing gaze from his other friends.

“ Explain what situation again? I already know that you lied about this meeting and everything was ” Adira ignored Rey's words.

“ I did lie, but that's all there's a reason. I don't want Daddy to give me a punishment. Daddy won't forgive me for this mistake ”

“ You'd rather not be punished like this, when your actions are clearly wrong ”

“ I did not join the brawl, just ask them. We were in basecamp just playing games but suddenly the boys attacked us. We did not reply and chose to go from there ” explained Aidan.

“ Then who made those children hurt if not you, I would have looked stupid and easy to be lied to according to ”

“ Sorry to interrupt Miss Adira, Aidan's words are true we were not involved in the brawl. We left immediately even though they destroyed our basecamp. For those injuries must have been another act of sabotage ” Kevin tried to explain to Adira.

Adira is left confused as to whether to believe the boy's words, or if they have agreed to lie to him.

“ I knew Miss Adira would be hard to believe, we should have been punished. If we were involved then we would have received the punishment well. But we are innocent then why should we be punished? ” says Anne.

“ Then why don't you explain this to your parents? ” reply Adira does not want to accept the reason for the children.

Anne grabs Kevin's hand and uncovers the hoodie arm she is wearing.

“ Anne! ” shrieked Kevin in panic and immediately covered his arm.

“ We are not guilty but must accept this kind of punishment, even if we explain our parents have decided to solve it in a way like in the meeting ”

Adira listened to Anne's words with eyes still glaring in disbelief at the blue marks that filled Kevin's arms.

“ Who hit you up like that? ” ask Adira to panic on Kevin.
