(May) I Fall in Love
Protecting You in My Way

Flashbacks

“You back off first, yes!” Pinta the man who claimed to be the street child told Haura.

Haura just nodded her head in response. Honestly, at that time he was very afraid to even say a single word he could not. Especially in addition to his head that feels very dizzy. As well as the pain from the wound on his face from the slap he received a few minutes ago.

"Smart boy. Can you walk by yourself?" ask the man. His eyes looked pityfully at Haura. The girl in front of him looked very unwell. Moist eyes, bruised cheeks, tears at the corners of his lips and very disheveled hair. So appalling.

Actually the man wanted to directly hold Haura to stay away from the place. But he was very sure if he did that, then the teenage girl in front of him will definitely be afraid of him and will think that he is as evil as the five cruel men who have made the girl really hurt.

Again, Haura just nodded her head.

The good man smiled warmly at Haura. "You wait for me there. It won't be long" he said, pointing to a corner of the room. The place that the men were referring to was quite far from where they were now.

Haura tried to get up. Although it was difficult because his entire body was still trembling violently due to fear. But the girl kept trying to walk on her own. Didn't want to ask for help from a good man who is currently watching him.

Not wanting to look strong, but actually Haura also felt afraid of the good man. Haura did not know him. Moreover, the appearance of the man was as messy as the five evil men who had just hurt him.  Even though the man before her was currently being very kind to her, but Haura still had to be vigilant.

Seeing Haura who was having a hard time walking, the man immediately helped her. This only made Haura surprised. His eyes were perfectly patterned seeing that the man had already wiped them without excuse.

"Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you." she said with a warm smile to Haura.

In that instant Haura realized that the good man who helped her turned out to be very handsome. His face was very inappropriate if he was called a street child. But at a time like this, it was certainly not a good time to admire the man's face. They are in a very dangerous situation.

"If you are afraid, you can close your eyes. I'll repay all their deeds to you."

After making sure Haura was in a safe place, the man returned to the five evil men who hurt Haura. Without fear the man again swung his steps back to where he was a few minutes ago. His goal is to make a reckoning with the five cowardly men who have hurt a little girl.

"Do we have to continue?" ask the good guy.

"Mkkk.... Mending you back off. Want to be your bad luck hero?" hardik man who was about to harass Haura complete with his eyes staring intently at the interlocutor.

"Wowwww..... Slow down man" said the good man with a mocking smile on his face. "If I don't back down, what do you want? You all dare to be like a girl. SISSY."

"Okay if you really don't make a fuss."

Without further ado, fights between one and five cannot be avoided. Haura observed the fight happening with infinite fear. Even though his male helper asked him to close his eyes tightly, but Haura still wanted to watch the unbalanced fight.

The girl was very worried that if the good man who helped her would get hurt because of her and could not beat them then it could be confirmed that he would be in danger again.

While observing with a thumping chest, Haura unceasingly prayed to God for their safety. He and a good man helped him.

Bugh.... Bugh.... Bugh....

Punch after punch and turn they receive. Although the fight was one-on-five, so far the winner is the good man who helped Haura. It turns out that the word BANCI is indeed fitting pinned on the five evil men. The proof against one person only they can't.

The four teenage girls who had been so passionate about hurting Haura, looked so riled up because their friends started to get overwhelmed against one person. Without caring about Haura anymore, they also chose to leave the place.

After a long fight finally the five evil men fell. They lost a landslide. It's not like the Indies movie where the main cast isn't hurt at all. The proof is that the good men who helped Haura were also quite battered.

The male's temples were bleeding, the tear wound on the corner of his lips and also his bruised face making his handsome face look so apprehensive.

With a slight stagger, the good man approached Haura.

The teenage girl looked at the man with a grateful look as well as a guilty look.

"We're home." The man said when he was in front of Haura with his hands sticking out at Haura.

Haura raised her face, looking sadly at the good man who had been battered for helping himself.

Again Haura just nodded in response. The girl's eyes were dewy again. Haura finally survived. Haura immediately welcomed the good man's hand. Grasping it tightly and trying to stand up. Quickly the man again helped Haura stand up.

The man immediately grabbed Haura's shoulders and swept her to leave the place immediately. Although the scene that happened back then between Haura and the man was mutually touching each other. They are both hurt.

Trudging the man took Haura towards the backyard of the old house. There was a motor sport that Haura believed belonged to the man who helped her.

"Thank you." Haura lirih. Only that word could be said by Haura. The girl came back crying.

Hearing Haura's words, the man stopped his steps. Now he was standing right in front of Haura. Without excuse the man cupped the face of the teenage girl who was crying as much as in front of him.

"You don't cry anymore. It's all over. Don't be afraid." The man's hand wiped away the tears that soaked Haura's pale face. His fingers gently stroked the corners of Haura's injured lips. There was a trail of dried blood there.

Haura wiped her tears. Even Haura used the back of her hand tip wiping her snot. Without feeling ashamed at the man in front of her at this moment.

"Who's your name?"

"Hauras. My name is Haura, sis." said Haura. His black bead stared directly at the face of the man standing before him.

"I'm Farel."

"Thank you, Brother Farel. And sorry."

The man named Farel scrunched his forehead to hear Haura's apology.

"Why are you sorry?"

"Sorry, because Brother Farel was hurt because of Nolongin Haura." Haura said with a raucous voice. The girl wanted to cry again. The incident he experienced a while ago really scared him.

"Hey boy. Don't you think this is all free."

Farel's words suddenly made Haura step back away from the man. His mind went back to chaos. Fear again enveloped him.

"Ma...What does Brother Farel mean?" ask the girl stammering.

"I'm not saying you don't mean I don't ask for anything in return."

Haura squeezed the end of her clothes. "Haura has nothing to pay Brother Farel."

"I don't ask for money." Farel moved his legs closer to Haura. Seeing that, Haura stepped back. He thought something bad would happen to him.

"So what do I have to pay for?" Clear liquid back pooled in his eyelids.

"You can pay by yourself."

"No, I don't want to."

Haura turned around about to run away leaving behind a man named Farel. But his movements lose quickly, Farel first blocks Haura's wrist until the girl is unable to escape.

"Sister, please let me go. I'll pay, but I beg you to let me go home first. I'll get the money to pay Mr. Farel. But I don't want to pay for using myself. I don't want to." In her heart the girl was very sorry for receiving help from Farel. It turned out that there was no one who was truly sincere to him. That was what Haura thought.

Farel smiled a small smile at Haura's words. The man could guess what the little boy in front of him was thinking.

"You don't have to make money to pay me. Because I don't need your money. All I need is you." Instead of breaking Haura's misunderstanding, Farel's words added to Haura's misunderstanding of her.

"Sister Farel, I promise you I'll get the money soon. But please don't hurt me. I'll try to work so I can...."

"I want you to be my little sister" Farel quickly cut.

Haura blinked her eyes. Looking at the question mark on the man who is holding both shoulders.

"You want to be my little sister?" Farel asked the same question again.

"Sister Farel..."

"Basic boy. Don't think of anything." Farel said as he rubbed the top of Haura's head. That was the first time Farel called Haura as a boy.

"It's not that Brother Farel wants me to..." Haura did not continue her words. He had completely misunderstood Farel.

"I won't hurt you. I'll protect you, Haura." After saying that, Farel turned to the back side of Haura's body.

Unexpectedly it turns out Farel tidied Haura's hair that looks very disheveled.

"Haura wants a brother. Haura wants to be Farel's little sister." Without asking for time to think, Haura agreed to Farel's request. To that girl, Farel was indeed a really good man.

Hearing Haura's words, Farel smiled knots while continuing to tie Haura's long hair.

"Now we go home. Come on!" Farel gave his hand back to Haura.

The girl immediately welcomed Farel's hand. No more fear. In his heart Haura continued to give thanks because God actually sent a kindly savior for him.

The other thing Haura was worried about was how to explain to her Mother and Father later. Maybe it's time for Haura to tell her Mom and Dad the truth about what she's been doing at school all this time.

The man clasped tightly onto the hand of the teenage girl he had only known a moment ago. For some reason, Farel really felt like protecting Haura. Protecting the teenage girl so as not to be hurt by anyone. Whosoever.

I will protect you in my own way, Inner Farel.
