(May) I Fall in Love

(May) I Fall in Love
The Love that Camouflaged

That night it rained heavily on the capital. It is as if spilling all the heavy loads that have been well stored by the clouds. The sound of lightning also accompanies the rain greeting the inhabitants of the earth with his thunderous voice deafening.

In a house was seen a middle-aged woman pacing around with great fury. Occasionally his twilight eyes glanced at the time pointer attached to the wall of his house. It was also seen that the middle-aged woman rubbed the end of her watery eyes. His mouth just kept mentioning a name that had been waiting for him.

“Haura, where are you son? Why not go home yet?” Yes, that middle-aged woman is Bu Lastri, the mother of Haura.

Ms. Lastri stood restlessly at her doorstep. Then go back in to see the wall clock that has been showing exactly at nine p.m.

“Yes Allah, let nothing happen to my daughter Haura.” Miss Lastri did not stop praying that Haura would be okay. It's nine o'clock in the evening but Haura hasn't come home yet.

“Haura, did something happen to you and son Nevan? Where are you?” Bu Lastri thinks that his daughter Haura is currently with Nevan. Because it was every day that middle-aged woman saw Haura leave and

go back to school with Nevan. That is his belief that at this time Haura must be with Nevan.

Bu Lastri had tried to contact Haura but her daughter's number was off. Various bad thoughts continued to arrive in the middle-aged woman's mind. Bu Lastri was afraid that something bad might happen to Haura and Nevan. Like an accident, for example. Especially now that it is raining heavily. Likely such a possibility could happen.

From the back pavilion where Bu Lastri was now, Haura's sense of hearing captured the sound of a vehicle entering the garage of the Sander family home. That's Zayn's car. Bu Lastri rushes to the main house to ask Zayn about Nevan and Haura's whereabouts. It's possible that Nevan contacted her brother to tell him where they are now.

“Nak Zayn.” Bu Lastri called out the name of the Sander's eldest son by shouting that Zayn could hear him given that it was raining so hard. The worried hue was clearly imprinted on Bu Lastri's face.

Zayn who was about to enter the main house was very surprised because Bu Lastri called his name by shouting. That never happened before.

“Iya Bu Lastri's. What's up?” ask Zayn. The twenty-three-year-old man was able to catch a worried gurat on the face of the middle-aged woman who had currently been standing right in front of him. Something must have happened, Zayn.

“Nak Zayn know where Nevan and Haura are?”

Zayn knitted his brows at Bu Lastri's question. “Nevan... Haura... What do you mean? Zayn doesn't understand? Shouldn't Nevan and Haura be home at this hour, ma'am?”

Neither Zayn nor Nevan calls Bu Lastri Bibi or any other name usually used to call an ART. Precisely the two brothers have been accustomed to calling Bu Lastri with the title “Bu or Bu Lastri.” That was their call to the Mother of Haura since they were children.

Miss Lastri was getting riled up to hear Zayn's words. That means Zayn doesn't know where Nevan and Haura are.

“Nevan and Haura haven't returned yet. I've contacted Haura, but it looks like hape Haura is dead. How'this? Could something happen to them?”

Again the middle-aged woman's tears shed. The worry is getting worse. The fear of something bad actually befell Haura as well as Nevan.

“Bu Lastri relax first, Zayn will try to contact Nevan. It was possible that right now they were caught in the rain and could not continue on their way. And maybe it just so happens again hape they both run out of power so can not be contacted.” Zayn tries to calm Bu Lastri down, though he also starts to worry about Nevan and Haura. But Zayn couldn't possibly show his worry to appease Miss Lastri.

“Now Bu Lastri just wait in the back pavilion quietly. Let Zayn find Nevan and Haura,”, Zayn said. Actually he didn't want to call Nevan in front of Miss Lastri. Zayn was afraid that if something bad really happened to Nevan and Haura, then Miss Lastri would not be able to control herself. The Instinct of a Mother. Such is.

“Bu Lastri wait at the pavilion while praying that they are both well.” Zayn said very softly. In order for Bu Lastri to immediately move towards the rear pavilion.

Hearing Zayn Bu Lastri's words only nodded in agreement to Zayn's suggestion. With a lethargic step the middle-aged woman returned towards the back pavilion.

Making sure that Miss Lastri has disappeared perfectly, Zayn immediately reached into his pants pocket and took his cell phone to contact Nevan.

*******

Elsewhere, Nevan is lying on a soft bed with her cousin Niko. Right, Nevan's at Niko's.

When returning home from school, Nevan chooses to visit his cousin and best friend's house. With the reason of wanting to visit his grand which is still in the house of aunty Vania. I don't know why, but I don't think he wants to go home soon. He needs a friend. Not to tell her about what happened to her lately, but just friends to talk about light things. The right choice is Niko.

Nevan spent several hours playing PlayStation with Niko. After finishing dinner, the two handsome teenagers finally chose to straighten their bodies in Niko's room. Nevan actually wants to go home, but because it is raining, Nevan chooses to wait for the rain to subside. He will still be home even though the rain subsides almost midnight. Nevan will be home.

Aunty Vania asks Nevan to stay at their house. Of course Nevan doesn't. He could not sleep except in his room. Niko simply smiled meaningfully at Nevan's reasoning. Because Niko knew very well why her cousin refused to stay the night.

Nevan turned down the offer to stay not because she couldn't sleep but in her room. However, because Nevan does not want to go to school tomorrow morning Haura with mas ojol.

Nevan looked at the ceiling of Niko's white-painted room. His mind glared at Haura. His childhood best friend who has managed to make his feelings often does not care lately.

Occasionally Nevan breathes oxygen deeply and throws it away violently. He got his cell phone. Just to tamper with those flat objects. There is no intention to play a game or contact someone. Finally the handsome teenager opened the messaging application. Haura's name is on the first list in the app.

“Why don't you contact me?” Nevan muttered softly as her eyes read the conversation on the app between herself and Haura.

“Cooking yes you are angry?” Nevan's brown bead read slowly the conversation between her and Haura. Occasionally the corner of his lips curved slightly when he found a conversation filled with debate between them.

Niko had been looking strangely at Nevan who looked like a person in a state of acute confusion. Niko's eyes catch something wrong is happening to her cousin.

“Lo why? From earlier I noticed lo kayak galau it.” Finally Niko asked because she was quite uncomfortable to see Nevan's behavior like a person whose love was rejected raw.

“What's wrong. Where there is confusion in my life.” Nevan quickly rebuffed Niko's words.

“Terus lo mengapain from earlier continue to read chat lo same Haura.” Ask Niko who is always to the point.

Like being caught red-handed, Nevan immediately put the phone that had been held by him.

“Ehemmm….. I'm waiting for Haura to chat me.”

“For?” Again Niko is confused by Nevan's strange behavior.

“Yes to nanyain why I haven't come home yet. Moreover?”

“Hahahha Unavoidable, Niko laughed at Nevan's words.

“Lo kayaking people who are thirsty for attention. What is Haura nanyain for the existence of lo?” True to Niko's question, for what Haura asked Nevan's whereabouts.

Although Niko's words make sense, Nevan never runs out of words to reply to Niko's blatant taunts.

“Gue your friend too. But you never ask me where if you don't squirm me.” A word full of traps. Niko wanted to test how much Nevan could stand up to her silly answers.

“Ngapain I nanyain lo. But Haura is different. You can protect yourself if bad things happen the same. Unlike Haura, she is a girl. I just don't want anything bad to happen to Haura. That's why I often ask for her whereabouts when I don't squirm on her. I just want to protect Haura.” Nevan continued to dictate his answer without pause. As if affirming to his interlocutor that everything he does is a form of concern for a friend. Not more.

“Lo does not love Haura?” niko asked while raising the tip of her eyebrows.

“Hahahaha...” Now it is Nevan's turn to laugh out loud at Niko's question. “Love whats wrong. There is no love between me and Haura. Everything I do to Haura because I love Haura as my best friend from childhood. You know what my childhood was like if there was no Haura.”

“What is it about Haura? I mean what if Haura loves lo?”

Niko's question was able to silence Nevan perfectly.

“What if later Haura considers you more than a friend? What will you do?” Without waiting for an answer from Nevan, Niko resumed her question.

“Gue sure Haura won't love me. There will be no love.” Nevan turned her eyes again to look at the ceiling of Niko's room.

“Feelings of girls and boys are different. I just hope you won't hurt Haura. Do you understand what I mean?”

“Hmmmm..”

No further talks. Niko is back playing her phone. While Nevan thought about what Niko had just said.

There's no way Haura would love me. All this time he was always angry that I disturbed him. Where can love come from? Nevan continues to monologue in her own mind.

Without Nevan realizing that actually his little friend had started to love him. But Haura chooses to suppress her feelings so that Nevan does not realize it.

And one more thing that Nevan did not realize was that his concern for Haura was another form of love. Love is camouflaged in the word friendship. A love that will lead the two teenagers to a complicated relationship.

In relationships that will drain tears. It was like the rain that fell that night.

Drrtts…. Drrtt…. Nevan's phone rang out his daydream. There was a call coming in for him.

Lazily Nevan grabbed back the flat object.

Brother Zayn, the name of the caller listed there.

“Halo kak.”

“Van, where are you? Why haven't you guys come home?”

“Nevan at home aunt Vania.” Answer Nevan. The teenage boy was able to clearly capture that there was a panicked tone in his brother's speech.

“You? What do you mean?” ask Nevan again.

“You're the same Haura, right, Van?” Not an answer, Zayn gave Nevan another question.

Haura's? Why did Brother Zayn ask Haura whereabouts to him. Nevan is really confused because of Zayn's question. If her brother asks for Haura's whereabouts, it means Haura hasn't come home.

“Nevan is not the same as Haura. Why Zayn nanya Haura?” Nevan's words attracted the attention of Niko who was lying on her soft bed while playing a mobile phone.

“Haura has not returned.” Zayn's words successfully made Nevan's face look panicked in an instant.

“Haura hasn't returned yet. Bu Lastri was very worried because since then Haura's mobile phone could not be contacted. It's nine o'clock and it's raining very hard. I don't know where Haura is now.”

Zayn sounded very worried because Haura was out of nowhere. In addition, Miss Lastri has been crying ever since. The middle-aged woman's figure was drifting at the possible bad possibilities for Haura.

“Then Nevan is looking for Haura. Tell Miss Lastri not to worry. Haura must be fine.” Nevan tried to speak as calmly as possible despite the fact that she also felt very uneasy to hear the news that Haura had not come home.

“Where do you want to find Haura?”

“Where aja kak. Along the way and also at school. But Nevan will find Haura to school first.”

“Then you go straight to school. Let brother Zayn find Haura on the way. It is possible that Haura took shelter somewhere due to heavy rain.”

Without answering anything else Nevan immediately turned off her connection and rushed to go look for Haura's whereabouts.

“Why Van?” More or less Niko had figured out what was happening. But he asked again to make sure what he heard was true that Haura had not yet returned home.

“Haura hasn't come home yet and I have to find her soon.”

“Where?”

“School.” Answer Nevan quickly. In a hurry Nevan grabbed the key.

“Then I try to contact Luna, her friend Haura. Maybe Haura at Luna or Adel.” Niko tries to help to find out Haura's whereabouts.

“OK... I go.”

“Lo can go up...” Niko's words hung down her throat because Nevan had left without hearing what she was about to say.

“You should be able to pack my car, Van.” Niko said again even though her interlocutor had left her alone. “Gini you say no love. Basic lo her just not sensitive same feeling lo own.”

Finally Niko chose to contact Luna to ask for Haura's whereabouts.
