As long as I can be patient
As long as I can understand
In time there will be fatigue,
And then it may be you who are forced to be patient and understand.
...
"Is there a woman who is that easy to break off a relationship, to run into someone else's arms?" Agnia asked softly. The longer he thought, the attitude Akmal chose hurt his ego. The man still did not understand, still intending to hide something from him. He knew he hated that kind of attitude. Akmal touched his face, either as a form of regret or as an entertainer of his heart. Agnia took a step back, reluctant to easily apologize to her husband. "I don't need anyone else, I don't expect anything better. You're enough, I'm grateful to have you, but.." Agnia sighed, turning her gaze away. "I don't think I'm for you, do I? That's why you doubt it, you don't even want to tell me about this sooner."
...
Agnia could not stay longer in front of Akmal, but could not be angry for too long. He sat down with a heart that tried to be stretched out, trying to remind himself that Akmal was doing only for his good. To protect their relationship, even though the attitude they take may not be right.
Helaan came out of Agnia's mouth, closed her eyes for a moment and then dared to look at Akmal as usual.
The man carries his guilt-ridden self, facing Agnia who has no idea how deeply disappointed she is. Actually Akmal still did not bring what he wanted to bring from the father's house. But hearing the name Govin, he was in the fog himself. The motorbike that had just arrived in the yard of his father's house he turned immediately.
"Sit down! I'm ready for toast." said Agnia. "Cuman, I think it's getting cold, if I don't like it let me make it again."
Akbar did not budge, sighed softly. Agnia did not look at him affectionately at all as usual. Although as friendly as possible, his feelings cannot be hidden. Whether disappointed or angry, the obvious fault was with him. Akmal pulled out a chair, sitting as close as possible to Agnia.
"What?" Agnia asked softly, trying to pull the corners of her lips as smoothly as possible.
"Aren't you angry?"
Agnia sighed, looking at old Akmal. "I want it, but unfortunately I can't."
Akmal put on a thin smile, pulling Agnia's two hands over her thighs. The back of the smooth hand was affectionate. "Sorry."
Maybe he was offended, maybe he was upset. But Agnia was not forced to understand, but her self-awareness of her husband's condition. Akmal is not okay, all his behavior is too bad to be understood. Agnia touched Akmal's two cheeks, staring in her husband's two eyes.
"Nothing will happen, as long as we are together. As much as I believe in you, you must believe in me. No one's gonna miss us? Even death." Agnia nodded, returning a gaze for an explanation from Akmal. "We will be together until later. Don't you?"
Akmal smiled full haru, nodding. Much was feared, but he was most afraid of the loss of Agnia's faith. But Agnia again calmed him down, bringing herself to share the great burden she was carrying. For a moment, Agnia's gaze was made a place to look for earnestness, until she dropped her head between Agnia's neck and chest. It feels soothing, Agnia is really home. Being the focus, also the back of his heart. This woman is precious, she does not want to lose.
...
"Surprise.. Ma'am to my house" said Ripda, smiling while presenting a glass of water and special snacks lebaran.
"Yes. Sorry, yes.. Ma'am bothers you on your day off."
"Not really." Ripda answered quickly. "I'm relaxed, not like anyone else, go home. I'm a native Jakarta person." he said, accompanied by weirdness. "I'm so cool because Mbak played here."
Agnia nodded, smiling slightly. In a confused heart how to start this conversation, it feels too excessive to find out about the past for the benefit of his household.
But Ripda understood immediately, smiling. "Oiya, Ma'am. What was? What about Govin?"
Agnia immediately nodded, not denying. "Yes, if you don't mind."
Ripda sighed, his face turning lame.. "That sableng boy..he really came? What say?"
"He said nothing, but Akmal was greatly affected by the arrival. The confused one, why? Why is Akmal so scared?"
"Ehh.." Tipda scratched his nape did not itch, I don't know what he was confused right. "Govin it, a little emotional, Ma'am... Saying so. I understand that Akmal is afraid. No papa, I'm sure Govin won't macem. He's just bluffing."
Agnia nodded faintly, though not fully understanding. Ripda was heard hiding something, the explanation was ambiguous. "You said it, Calm down."
"Hemh. I know Govin well, we were close enough that after Ulya's accident.. He kept on messing around, and assumed I was on Akmal's side. Govin's so far away from me." Ripda told a more comfortable story, seemed to hide nothing. "That's our farewell story. I was shocked, Ma'am. How come he found me again." Ripda chuckled at the end of his sentence, looking completely astonished. "Oiya Ma'am.. Are you all right?"
"Hemhs? Why nanya?"
"Mastiins. I must feel guilty if you guys fight."
Agnia smiled warmly. "Why feel guilty? Ripda. don't think too much about others, Ma'am can see sincerity, also sorrow in your eyes."
Ripda did not budge, for a moment then laughed crisply. "Thank you, that's sweet, but don't worry. I like to watch people, it's my life, I'm used to it."
"You see, the sign is that you need people who can look at you."
Ripda frowning. "Where, Ma'am?"
Agnia. "Would you not be Akbar's wife?"
...
"Why?" Retno came, approached Akmal in his old room. He said he was looking for something, but after fifteen minutes his only child did not come out. Even sitting on the lip of the bed with a crumpled face. Retno sat down, rubbing Akmal's back slowly. "Is there a problem with your wife? Agnia's angry?"
Akmal shook his head quickly, forcing his face to smile. "No, Bun. Mother's child will be good, where maybe Mother's daughter-in-law can be angry with her husband who is this good.."
Retno chuckled, nodding. "Yes.of course. Mother knows that. After all Agnia is very good, even if you are wrong she will understand you. Don't you?"
Very good, the mother's words are true. Akmal doesn't deny that. "Hemhs.. Mommy chose me the perfect candidate." she explained.
"Then? Wh why? Mommy can give you a way out if you want." asked Retno again, sincerely wanted to help her child. Who knows Akmal better than he does? Sadness and hardship will not be able to hide the young man from the mother.
"Grandfather Bun. There's only been something bothering my heart since morning, so my mood is breaking. But it's nothing.."
"Emh.. would you like some advice?"
Akmal frowning. "What's? Even Mother doesn't know my problem."
"Mother who hummed and born you, mother knows your heart without the need to explain."
Akmal listened, looking at Retno for an explanation.
"Honey moon."
"Honeymoon?" Akmal frowned for a moment to then smile. "Who is my pregnant wife?"
"Indeed why, if you two. and stay away from the busyness here will be better for you to also notice Agnia later. Or not.."
"What?"
"Mother Denger, your family-in-law is going to Tasikmalaya? Why not come again? Staying away from the hustle and bustle of the city seems good to you guys. You don't know if it's a way out or not, but it can at least improve your feelings."
Akmal did not budge, nodding. Bak had a perfect enlightenment. His smile was on its back, though it still digested everything. "Thank you, Bun. Mother best.."
.
.
.
.
"Darling.."
Agnia frowned, turning her head with a look of wonder. Tumben. Darling is a call that Akmal rarely uses, the man prefers to call her Ma'am. It was strange, tickling him to smile. And look at the wide ripples on her husband's face today, in stark contrast to the man's expression this morning.
"Why?" agnia asked with a small, funny laugh just her current husband. Rise from his sleep, leaning on the head of the bed.
"Emh.. not a holiday, right?"
"Yes.." Agnia nodded, accompanied by a smile. Still anxious about Akmal's change in expression after coming out of the bathroom.
"Giman if we're on our honeymoon?"
Agnia raised her eyebrows, rubbing the head of the husband who was still wet. "Baby moon?"
Akmal nodded, looking enthusiastic with Agnia's reply.
"Where?" Agnia grabbed both of Akmal's cheeks aimlessly. "I'm lazy, yes if you have to go all the way, or hot-hot.."
"I know Mama would say that. Therefore..what if we go to the lake, stay there a few days?"
"Emh.. suddenly?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"Where, yes." Akmal's enthusiastic gaze made Agnia want to disturb her husband, pretending to think with a serious face.
"Come.." Akmal brought his body closer, played Agnia's hair. To then launch a kiss several times to the forehead and two tiny cheeks Agnia, trying to persuade.
Agnia chuckled, keeping Akmal away from her face. "Okay.. okay.. Let's go baby moon, Hem?"
