Chapter 51

Rani did not go home immediately after dropping off Melly. He demands Melly tell him what she said to Tristan. When Melly tells Tristan that she apologized for what Ghevin did, Rani disagrees. She also disagrees if Melly apologizes to Amanda. According to him, it's not Melly who should apologize. But Melly doesn't regret it. He was relieved to apologize to Tristan and Amanda.

After being satisfied to hear Melly's story, Rani starts talking about Amanda. She praised Amanda's beauty, but still didn't like it. Looks like she feels threatened because Amanda's still expecting a Ghevin. She fears Ghevin finds out and decides to go back to Amanda.

Suddenly Ghevin came home in the middle of their conversation. She did not look at Melly at all, nor did she even greet Rani. He just slid into the gate as if Melly and Rani were not there.

"Sir Ghevin," call Rani suddenly. Ghevin instantly stopped at the doorway, while Melly looked at Rani in shock.

"So she called the Ghevin?"

"Nyampe when the hell do you want to be diem-dieman continue with Melly?" ask Rani.

Ghevin didn't say anything, but he stayed put. He listened to Rani without facing her.

"Melly is your sister" said Rani. "Despite fighting, you should get better soon. One of you has to give up. No prestige."

Even if someone had to give up, that person shouldn't be Melly. Melly is still angry with Ghevin.

"Melly even represented you apologizing to Kak Tristan and Amanda" Rani told Ghevin. "That's not his fault."

Actually, Melly hopes Rani does not bring up the matter. Because Melly knew Ghevin wouldn't like to hear it.

"You are wrong, you have to admit, you have to dare to admit" said Rani. "To be wrong does not mean to lose."

After hearing the wise words from Rani, Ghevin continued his steps into the house. Rani suddenly collapsed so that Melly quickly caught her.

"Gue was just so desperate, yes," Rani said. He looked at Melly in horror. "So, Brother Ghevin is angry with me, how is it?"

"No," said Melly. "The part you said was right."

"So I'm scared" Rani said. "Aduuhhhh."

"What the hell is it? How did you suddenly think of a talk?" ask Melly. "Gue was shocked earlier."

"So I feel what Kak Ghevin did to Kak Tristan, making me so disappointed," explained Rani. "He was so bad. I don't want Ghevin to be that kind of person."

Melly believes that if Ghevin and Rani are dating, Rani will definitely have a good influence on Ghevin. Melly tries to calm Rani down, but until she gets home, she's still scared.

Melly wondered if Ghevin would obey Rani and take the initiative to get better with her. As usual Melly sat across from Ghevin at dinner, but there was no sign of Ghevin speaking. It was his father who suddenly made a sound. He cleared his throat to attract the attention of Melly and Ghevin.

"Papa has been fighting all along, but that doesn't mean Papa doesn't know you're fighting" he said. "Hopefully, no matter what kind of problem you have between you, you will get rid of it soon. Understood?"

"Understand, Pa," Melly and Ghevin said.

Melly and Ghevin had a few seconds to look at each other, then they both threw their faces away. I don't know when the two will solve the problem between them. Only time can answer.
