Chapter 24

The next morning, Miko still drives Melly to school, but they only talk as necessary. Melly still had time to bring Tristan's bag before she entered the classroom. Luckily Rani has arrived. Melly also immediately issued all her strings to Rani.

"Gue is not surprised that Kak Miko likes you" said Rani. "Gue had expected it a long time ago. Although I rarely see him, I can see there's love in his eyes every time he looks at you."

"Don't you tell me the same?" melly protest.

"Gue doesn't want to make you ge-er before I know for sure" said Rani. "I guess you know that too."

"Gue's just frantic, anyway" muttered Melly.

"Well, now the thing is, what about your own feelings?" ask Rani. "Do you like him too?"

Melly sighs. "That's what confuses me" he lamented. "Gue's still not sure how I feel about him."

"What do you rasain know when he likes you?"

"Fear it" Melly admitted.

"Fear that you're not ready to date her yet, or are afraid that you're going to have to reject her?"

Melly thought about Rani's question. Suddenly, he knew the answer. Yeah, now Melly understands the reason behind her fear. It's not because she's not ready to date Miko yet. Melly does like him, but it seems like her feelings for Miko are just friends. So, actually Melly is scared because she does not know how to reject Miko without having to lose her as a friend.

"I think you can conclude for yourself," Rani commented when she saw Melly's facial expression.

"Gue wants to keep making friends with him" Melly said. "But what about his feelings for me?"

"Let Kak Miko herself think about her feelings" said Rani. "Lagian you don't have the right to ratify her feelings to you."

"Gue just doesn't want to hurt his heart" Melly murmured.

"Gue knows," said Rani understood. "But that doesn't mean you have to make yourself like him, does it?"

Rani's right. However Melly does not want to hurt Miko, she also cannot force her own feelings.

"Keep what should I do now?"

"Yes, he is still friends with her" replied Rani. "He didn't ask you to be his girlfriend, did he?"

Melly nodded.

"Just expressing his feelings, right?"

Melly nodded again.

"So it's easy" said Rani. "Lo does not even need to be tired of thinking about how to reject him. As long as you keep acting like a temen and do not give him hope, he will realize it himself anyway."

Melly hopes Miko can realize herself that she just wants to be friends with him. So Melly does not need to refuse him, especially until it hurts her heart. It would be great, and that way they would still be able to continue making friends.

"But I'm curious, Mell," said Rani suddenly. "Is there no other alesan why you can't nerima Kak Miko, other than because you just nggep him as a temen?"

"Do you need any other reason?" Melly asked back.

"Who knows there is" said Rani. "For example, there's another guy you like, is that it?"

At the same moment Rani asked that, Melly's mind immediately ran to Tristan's figure. Melly had to shake her head to cast her shadow.

Melly doubts whether she should be honest with Rani or not. But maybe he can ask Rani for advice regarding Tristan as well.

"To be honest," said Melly, "there's definitely another guy who's been filling my mind lately."

Rani immediately put her ears wide. "Who?"

Melly started to play the zipper bag nervously. Open, close, then reopen. Rani gets caught off guard and pulls the bag from her lap.

"Who?" reworked.

It's hard for Melly to answer. He took a deep breath, then said, "Kak Tristan."

"WHAT?! TRISTAN?!" rani's voice boomed all over the classroom.

Some of their classmates thought Tristan was coming, and they turned to the door. The girls put on a look of hope, while the boys put on a look ready to run away as if they had made a mistake and were afraid Tristan came to castrate

them.

Melly immediately glared at Rani to warn her. He just grinned without guilt.

"Sorry, not Tristan Ivander's sister," he lied to their classmates.

The disappointed sighs of the girls are heard mixed with the sighs of relief from the boys. Melly waited until the attention of her friends had been diverted from them, only then continued her conversation with Rani.

"I told Ghevin to cut his lips" Melly told Rani. "Truly he again gatel want to jerk people's lips."

"My lips are not for cutting, but for kissing Kak Ghevin," said Rani while deliberately shaking her lips.

Melly pulled her lips and made her complain, then they laughed together. It is difficult for Melly if you have to linger angry at Rani.

"But seriously, Mell," said Rani after they finished laughing. "Kak Tristan? You like her?"

"Don't like it anyway" elak Melly. "But don't know. I've only been thinking about him a lot lately."

"Since what happened on the bridge?" guess Rani.

"Yes," nods Melly. "Gue was thinking, strange at that time I felt disappointed because it turns out he did not want to call me."

"I don't think that's strange" Rani said. "Lo was disappointed because he wished he was real nyium lo. Why do you expect that? Yeah obviously because you like him."

"But if that's true, it means I've liked him more than ever" Melly said. "I hated him as much as he did because I had become his errand boy."

"Do you think that hate cannot turn into love?"

"Emang could be, anyway" said Melly. "But not that one time either."

"Just because the change is taking place on a spree, you don't know when your hate feelings end, and when your love feelings begin" Rani says. "Perhaps because you're often with him, you get to know him better and that makes you like him."

Really it? Does Melly really like Tristan? He's a guy that Melly hates, who can make Melly his errand boy and treat Melly with care. Melly prefers to like Tristan over Miko.
