Midnight

Assistant Haris was already tired of responding to Leo's annoyance. Leo constantly asks Haris' assistant to take him after Shasa. However, Commissioner Gusta asked Lita to capture the moment of their walk that afternoon and send it to Leo.

Looking at the happy-looking photos of Shasa, Leo's annoyance slowly begins to melt away. Finally, he chose to wait for Shasa at home. Leo was already standing at the door of the main house waiting for Shasa to return. His hands were already crossed in front and his gaze was extremely cold.

Commissioner Gusta's car landed safely in front of the main courtyard. Shasa already had a bad feeling after seeing Leo standing at the door of the house. He racked his brain looking for a way to deal with Leo who seemed to be holding back his anger.

Shasa got out of the car. She tried to smile as pretty as possible and ran over to Leo.

"I'm a." Shasa immediately hugged Leo. "You're home soon, huh?" Shasa asked as she let go of her embrace.

"Where have you been?" Ask Leo flatly.

"Papa's grandson wants to go for a walk. We're not going far, just around here." Commissioner Gusta said as he walked towards Leo and Shasa stood up. "We're just in the car, too." Commissioner Gusta patted Leo on the shoulder and left him inside the house.

Leo was still looking at Shasa fixedly, while Shasa was still trying to smile sweetly behind his fear of Leo's anger.

"Let's go in, baby." Take Shasa.

Without speaking a single word, Leo immediately carried Shasa and brought her in.

"Darling, put me down." Shasa whines to get taken down from Leo's sling.

"Sttt!"

Shasa was silent and stopped his rebellion.

"You're tired of walking around. Don't make your legs get tired by walking into the house." Said Leo flat.

Hearing Leo's words, Shasa smiled looking at his face. Although she said it coldly and flatly, but it was very sweet in Shasa's ears.

Leo put Shasa on the bed slowly. Without speaking, Leo took off Shasa's shoes, put Shasa's bag on the table, and opened the coat he was wearing.

"You want a warm bath?" Ask Leo.

Shasa looked at Leo. He realized that this Leo would rather do than talk a lot.

"You still angry?" Shasa asked hesitantly.

Leo sighed softly and sat facing Shasa. "I'm not angry."

"But you look upset."

"I told you, don't get out of the pavilion. But, you're even out of the house today."

"What are you worried about? Even the doctor has allowed it."

"Eitherway. There's a lot I'm afraid of. You and our son."

"Our mind has a lot of energy. If you think about the bad, something bad will happen. But if you think well, then something good will happen. Think good of me."

"That's it. I don't want to argue. Your mind will be overwhelmed. I'll help you take a warm bath. You need to rest." A smile appeared on Leo's face.

'Why are you still so full of fear? How can you have a more relaxed life, without any worries on your mind?' inner Shasa wondered about Leo.

Shasa was already wearing his pajamas after spending a long time in the bathroom with Leo. Starting from the intention of helping Shasa take a bath, but culminating in their long overdue romance. Doctors allow Shasa and Leo to do so after the first trimester, because the condition of Shasa's pregnancy can be classified as vulnerable so that the first trimester of her pregnancy must be strictly maintained and must not have conjugal relations.

"Darling... You still busy?" Shasa asked who was relaxing on the bed. Since Leo decided to go home early, he had to bring some of his work home.

"Attent, darling. I'm a little bit more done." Reply Leo who is still focused on his laptop.

Shasa picked up a book from the table on the side of the mattress. He started reading by himself. Before long, Leo followed beside Shasa.

"here, baby. I'll read it to you." Leo took the book from Shasa's hand. He starts reading books to Shasa. For some reason every Leo read his book, Shasa's heart calmed down and really enjoyed the moment.

After Shasa falls asleep, Leo puts his book on the table. He began to lie down carefully so that Shasa would not wake up. Leo fell asleep while hugging Shasa. Not to forget, he stroked Shasa's stomach before closing his eyes.

The night was so late. The sky is pitch dark. The house of Gusta Family was already very quiet because everyone had already rested in their respective rooms. Shasa suddenly woke up from his sleep. He saw Leo who was fast asleep. Shasa's eyes became fresh. He thought of something. He woke up Leo.

"Darling... Dear... Darling..." Shasa moved Leo's body slowly.

Leo opened his closed eyes quite heavily. She was shocked to see the Awakened Shasa staring at her. "Dear, what's wrong with you? Is anyone sick?"

"No. I'm it's okay. But, all of a sudden I want something."

"What do you want, baby?"

"Lita, really likes to keep gum in her bag. I want that gum."

"But, Lita's home, baby."

"But, I really want that gum right now. I tried to forget it, but I couldn't. I keep thinking."

Shasa nodded without sin.

Leo took a deep breath while looking at Shasa. "Tomorrow morning Lita came here. Tomorrow, will you, baby?"

Shasa shook his head.

Leo immediately took the phone in the desk drawer. He called Niko.

"Yes, Sir." Niko's voice sounded like a person who had just woken up.

"Sorry to wake your sleep. Shasa wants the gum Lita has, can you help me pick it up?"

"Now?"

"Yes, now. If he wants it tomorrow morning, I won't wake you up all those nights."

"Did Lita know, sir?"

"I've contacted Lita. You just stay in his apartment."

"All right, sir."

Leo can't rely on the others, as Niko is the only one who knows where Lita lives. Niko drove her car out of the gate of the Gusta family home in the middle of the night. Niko no longer had the strength to protest Shasa's wishes.

Shasa was waiting in his room while watching television. Leo accompanied beside him.

"Tomorrow, I'll buy you dozens of dus of gum like Lita's." Leo is spontaneous.

"Darling, I just want some gum from Lita's bag."

Leo glanced towards Shasa in disbelief.

"Darling, you saw that. Shopping channels on television are really interesting huh."

Leo saw a pancake pan being demonstrated on television.

"I want pancakes."

Duarrr. One sentence from Shasa's mouth was already the mantra to build the chefs in the house. Leo wakes them up to make a plate of pancakes for Shasa. The chefs were still so sleepy that they had a bit of trouble digesting Leo's requests.

However, their reliability does deserve a thumbs up. Before Niko returned to bring gum to Shasa, a pancake was delivered to Leo and Shasa's room. The pancakes are very interesting and appetizing Shasa.

"Have the pancakes?" Leo asked who was astonished by Shasa.

"of course. I just found out that having pancakes at night is so good."

'Haha... More precisely, midnight, dear.' Inner Leo.

After one serving of pancakes is devoured by Shasa, Niko arrives home with a bottle of gum in her hand. He went straight to Leo's room.

"Mrs, this is the gum you asked for." Niko handed the bottle of gum to Shasa.

"Ah... Thank you, Niko. I'll eat it tomorrow because I'm full of pancakes." Reply Shasa plain.

Leo smiled smirkingly glanced at the wife beside him. 'Obviously you asked for it tonight. Very quickly changed his mind.' Leo grumbled inwardly.

Niko could say nothing more. 'Miss, I hope time passes so quickly that you give birth. At least, if your son asks for something weird especially in the middle of the night like this, I can still give him understanding.' Niko thought without making a sound.

Epilogue:

Niko arrives in front of Lita's apartment lobby. She saw Lita coming out of her apartment elevator.

"This is the gum."

Niko checked the bottle of gum. "I've guessed you still like this gum. I was going to buy this gum at a convenience store that's open 24 hours, but Madam wants some gum from your bag."

"Of course, just follow. I also didn't expect that he noticed the gum in my bag." Lita is still a little sleepy.

"If this continues, I think you'd better stay at the Gusta House. It would be easier if Madam wanted something else from you. I don't need to go out at midnight like this."

"Niko, let's talk tomorrow morning again. I'm so sleepy."

Niko only snorted at Lita who was still staggering sleepily. For the sake of a Shasa who was cravings for a golden child in his stomach, these two highly intelligent and classy adults, were willing to delay his sleep because of a piece of gum.
