The Surprising Night

Leo and Shasa had already fallen asleep in their sleep. The room lights are already glowing. The entire house was already quiet and each of them was resting in their room.

There was a pair of humans still conversing in the backyard of the Gusta Family home pavilion. The garden lights were bright enough to illuminate the faces of the two humans sitting there. The dark shadow of the man and woman was reflected off the slightly wet back garden grass. The breeze is so fresh that the fragrance of wet grass can be smelled. Not many stars that night. There were only a few bright spots of light from the sky and one brightest point among the others.

“Taking me to chat these nights, outside anyway, luckily everyone is asleep, otherwise tomorrow morning the waiters will start gossiping about you, Niko.” Lita spoke with her hands crossed forward.

“From chatting inside your room, it's better outside like this.” Niko Sahut. Niko no longer wants her caught in Lita's room like last time, happening for the second time. He invited Lita to talk outside the room.

Lita smiled thinly. “Then, what's the point of your conversation tonight? Since then you've still been making small talk.”

“Lita, i... i..” Niko stammered.

“Niko, are you playing around with me? I've never seen you nervous like this, except when you proposed to me first.” Lita interrupted.

“You're right, Lita.” Niko.

“What's right?” Lita wonder.

“You're right. I was all this time proposing to you first. Tonight was the same, I was nervous when I wanted to bring you back to life with me.” Niko's answer automatically made Lita surprised.

“What?!” Unconsciously Lita asked in a high tone. Actually he was trying to cover the sound of his heart rhythm that was not because of it.

“I was always afraid to ask my question earlier. Seeing you this close, I'm grateful. I'm afraid you'll leave again if I ask you to come back.” Obviously Niko again.

Lita just looked at Niko in front of her. He could barely say anything more.

“You don't have to think too widely about my happiness. Because my happiness is this close. You don't have to think too far, Lita.” Niko looked at Lita deeply. “Seeing you this close, I'm happy. If you leave, all my happiness is gone. I just want to live that simple with you. Someone told me that I should have a clear purpose. Right now, I dare to say it.”

Lita's eyes are glazed. “Niko, I always thought if I started again something that was a long time ago, I would just find the same ending. But it turns out I also can not start something new for fear of finding the same end.” Lita explained while looking down. Then, she straightened her head back, looking into Niko's eyes right in front of her. “I was confused when I decided to forget you or not. It is hard to choose between the two choices. Then I lived my life without choosing anything. Until one day, I see you again. I can't lie where the end of my journey is. Niko, I'll be..”.

Not until Lita said the full sentence, Niko's phone suddenly rang. ‘Master Leo?! These nights?!’ Niko wondered in her heart. 'Why call me at this hour?'

Shasa who was asleep, woke up instantly because he wanted to urinate. Slowly, Shasa uncovers the blanket covering her body. He moved very slowly so that Leo would not wake up. Shasa walked towards the bathroom located inside his room. Suddenly, he stopped right in front of the bathroom door. He looked down. Unknowingly, the water from within his body just flowed.

‘How can I urinate carelessly like this?’ inner Shasa. He squatted a little, wanting to wipe the water with a doormat in front of the bathroom. Shah Shasa wrinkled. ‘It's not water, it's slime.’ Shasa's confused. Suddenly there was pain in his stomach.

“Honey! Honey!” Shasa shouted with all his might. “Leo! Honey!” Shasa shouted to Leo.

Leo who was asleep, was shocked to wake up to the voice of Shasa who was so loud calling him. “Honey!” Seeing Shasa holding onto his stomach, Leo immediately jumped off the mattress and ran towards Shasa. “Honey!” Leo catches Shasa's body sitting on the floor.

“Darling, my stomach hurts. It hurts so.” Shasa grimacing.

For a moment, the house of the Gusta Family suddenly splashed. All the servants in the house woke up. A series of cars are prepared quickly to bring Shasa, Leo, Commissioner Gusta, and Lady Sofia.

Leo held Shasa's hand tightly. He's still grimacing in pain. Niko and Lita are ready to take Leo and Shasa in the same car.

“Mother... Ah, it hurts once.” Shasa broke down the tears unconsciously. He was still holding his stomach.

“Lita, bring Shasa's mother here immediately! Pick up his mother on a private jet!” Leo's orders.

Lita was doubtful. How do I pick up someone in the middle of the night. But, Lita immediately typed in Leo's command on her phone and sent the instruction to someone.

“Honey, I'm here with you. Hold on a little more.” Leo tries to calm Shasa down even though he himself needs to be calmed down. ‘Sial! This is what I don't want to see. I hate Shasa in pain like this!’ inner Leo cursing.

Epilogue:

Flashback as Shasa calls Niko in the back garden the day after Shasa catches Niko in Lita's room.

Niko fell silent. He felt like he was being lectured by a woman younger than him. Even so, Shasa's words were a little resounding to Niko.

“Mistress, you know, I'm so scared of Lita.” Niko starts to open her voice about her personal feelings to Shasa.

“Why is that?” ask Shasa wonder.

“I'm afraid he's away as I approach.” Answer Niko briefly.

Shasa let out his breath. “Niko, I'd like to ask your destination. What's your goal for Lita? What do you want from him?”

Niko fell silent. His brain was circling around thinking about Shasa's question just now.

“Ask yourself, what do you need. Reassure him why he is important in your life. What you think is not necessarily the same as what Lita thinks. You have to be honest first.” Obviously Shasa.

Niko was still speechless digesting Shasa's words.

“Basically, you have to be honest with how you feel. After that, you have to be brave. Men are born stronger and braver than women. If there is only fear in you, how can Lita count on you when she is afraid?”
