The Dream of the President

The Dream of the President
Rest

Shasa pulls Leo's arm and takes him outside the hospital room.

"Master! What did your words mean? Don't joke in front of my dad!" Shasa looked angry.

"I'm not kidding. You know, never a step in my life, I take it to play around."

"You think marriage is a light thing? That's how easy you say it."

"Shasa, don't you hear? Your father said his dream was to marry you. If you make your dreams fall apart, you'll regret it yourself. That was your father's promise long ago, wasn't it? The price of a man is his promise. That's what your father told me." Leo slightly raised his tone.

"What did you promise, huh?"

"I promised to protect and protect you. I promise I'll make sure you're happy." Leo answered him.

"I'm not asking you to do it. Why do you often make your own decisions and do as you please?"

Mom's out of the inhouse. At once Shasa and Leo's quarrel came to a halt.

"Sha... It's already." Mother calms Shasa.

"Son Leo, you startled me earlier. You really mean what you say?" I asked politely.

"Mother!" Shasa seemed annoyed by mother's question.

"Sstt. let him answer." Mother warned Shasa.

"I'm serious Mom. I never mess around. If I approve..." Not finished Leo replied, mother has interrupted the answer.

"All right." Mom moved her gaze from Leo to Shasa. "The decision is in your hands, Sha." Mom pats the back of Shasa's hand. Then she went back into the room.

No need to explain at length. Mom and Dad seem to have approved of Leo. And right now, his decision was really in Shasa's hands.

Shasa entered the inhouse. Leo followed him from behind. Doctor Sam just came in and checked on me. He checked so thoroughly. After the examination was completed, Sam's doctor told the father's condition to the doctor who handled it earlier and gave some instructions.

After he finished speaking, Sam's doctor approached Leo who was standing not far from him.

"Leo, can talk for a second." Doctor Sam whispered a little to Leo. Then Sam's doctor walked out, followed by Leo behind him.

Doctor Sam talks to Leo outside the hospital room.

"Leo, the conditions are unfavorable."

That one sentence has made Leo understand the heart of Doctor Sam's conversation.

"Do we need to move to a bigger hospital? Or are we moving to a hospital abroad?" Ask Leo.

Leo nodded. "Do as much as you can. Make sure it's best for her." Leo wanted to go back into the room, but was arrested by Doctor Sam.

"When did you become like this? Frighteningly. It's like I don't see you. Am I going to have an brother-in-law in a minute?" Doctor Sam is a little flirting.

"You are my doctor and my best friend. But that question of yours, you know for yourself I wouldn't answer that kind of question." Leo releases his arm and leaves Doctor Sam outside.

'You really scared Leo. The first time you fall in love makes you even scarier.' Inner Doctor Sam with his faint smile.

Several nurses were done administering additional medications based on Sam's doctor's instructions. Now everyone was getting closer to the bed where Dad was lying.

"Dad." Shasa's voice is shrinking. Shasa held his father's hand.

"Dad knows, what luck was precious to Shasa all along? It was father, mother, and Abil. Shasa had heard, saying the daughter would be closer to her father. I thought, I would never experience what the other daughter went through with her father. But, dad came to me. Dad, give me everything. I made it my dream to be like any other girl out there who's happy with her dad." There was a tear drop on Shasa's cheek.

"Dad made you cry, Sha?" Father's hand was powerless to wipe Shasa's tears.

Shasa shook his head quickly. "Dad never made me cry. Dad always makes Shasa happy. It's my turn." Shasa looked at his father.

"Dad, bless me and my future husband." Shasa extended an arm towards Leo.

Leo was confused but his hand did not refuse to welcome Shasa's hand.

"Dad, I'll marry Leo. You want to see me married, right? I don't need a fancy wedding. I just need a dad beside me and take me to my husband."

Dad smiled happily at Shasa's words. "Dad bless you." Father uttered one short word that became the mantra for Shasa facing a new challenge.

Epilogue:

Doctor Sam and Leo came out of the room. Mom approached Shasa who was sitting on the sofa.

"Not to think too much about it, Sha. No one forced you."

"Mom, do you know who that guy is?" Shasa glanced at mother. "He was the president of the company I worked for. This was definitely not a joke to him. He's not a random person, ma'am."

Mom laughed in shock at the fact about Leo. "If he's the president, how can he follow you here? Will he follow all the employees who return to his hometown?" Shasa was silent at mother's question.

"There must be a reason why he followed you here. You know the answer, Sha." Mother stroked the back of Shasa's hand on her lap.
