Engagement

Shasa was already in his room. He held the phone close to his ear waiting for the one across there to respond.

"Hello, baby."

"Hello, Leo. You where?"

"Why baby? Kangen huh?" Leo teases Shasa.

Shasa. "Isa... Where're you?"

"I'm in the office. Why sweetheart?"

"Later what show? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Ah... Have you met mom? Not a show. Just have dinner together. My family and your family have never met."

"But mom said it was an engagement. How can you not tell me?"

"Mama said she wanted a surprise for you. So I can't tell you."

"But that's not it, baby." Shasa held back in annoyance.

"That's why I said it was just dinner. We're married anyway, where there's an engagement after marriage." Leo tried to calm down. "Everything was prepared by my mother. You just enjoy your time with Mom, Shabila, and Mother Princess."

The resentment in Shasa's heart started to subside. True, said Leo, it's better that he enjoys his time with those who are only up until tonight.

"You go home soon." Shasa's voice sounded sad but spoiled.

"Hey, why do you sound like you want to cry? Do I have to go home now?"

"No, it's okay. Finish your work today. I'll wait at home."

Inexplicably hearing Leo's voice back then, made Shasa miss him so much.

Tonight, Lady Sofia has indeed prepared a meeting with her family Shasa. They enjoyed dinner together. There's not much to talk about at the dinner table. Just asking about Shasa's family and his daily life. Commissioner Gusta also did not say much, precisely Lady Sofia who was like a moderator of their meeting tonight.

After dinner, everyone gathered in the living room. The waiters brought them warm tea. Lady Sofia received a box from her assistant. I don't know what the box is.

"Tonight I'm so grateful to have met Shasa's family. Maybe it's a little late for us to meet after the kids get married. However, Leo reminded not to go through this process." Lady Sofia opened the conversation in the room.

"Please forgive, because we have had a marriage without the presence of Leo's family. We know this is wrong." Mother lowered her head.

"No need to say that, Mom. Leo explained it to us." replied Lady Sofia softly. "The most important thing for me is the happiness of the children." Lady Sofia glanced at Commissioner Gusta who had not spoken from earlier. Commissioner Gusta noticed Lady Sofia's gaze asking him to speak.

"We're going to have a wedding at the end of this month. I will send some people who will help with the preparation of the Shafira family." Commissioner Gusta finally made a sound as well.

Mother nodded slowly. He recalled the words Niko had encountered while setting foot in the Gusta Family home. Niko advised that maybe after the engagement is announced later, there will be many news about the life of Leo or Shasa. Especially after the wedding, many will be curious about the life of their second marriage. All mothers and families need to do is to remain silent and maintain their privacy. Shasa will be part of the Gusta Family that can not be carelessly opened to the public. Mother realizes that Shasa does not belong to an ordinary family.

Lady Sofia stood up from her chair and walked towards Shasa. She put the beautiful necklace on her neck. The crystal is so pretty dangling adorning Shasa's body. A smile was drawn from Shasa's face. Leo was relieved to see how his parents accepted Shasa.

Shasa is at the door with Leo, taking Mom, Shabila, and Mother Princess home. Shasa hugged Mom tightly. He felt this was a pretty heavy farewell, different from usual. She also felt like she was taking off her married daughter. Mother ended her embrace from Shasa and looked at Leo expectantly.

"Son Leo, thank you for watching Shasa. Mother and late father believe that you will definitely take good care of Shasa."

"Mom don't have to worry. I'll keep my promise to you." Leo gave a reassuring smile to Mom.

Leo has prepared a car and a plane to take you back. Shasa waved his hand at Mom and Shabila. He held back his tears, but to no avail. Leo really hates to see Shasa cry. Without looking at his face, Leo wrapped his arms around Shasa's waist, making sure that he would always be next to Shasa and would never leave her.

"Mrs Gusta, don't be sad." Leo stroked the back of Shasa who was still staring at the car that brought Mom home. "Come, we'll have fun."

Shasa wiped away the tears and turned to Leo who was beside him. "What do you want to do?"

"Ep... Whatever you want, baby."

"really? Anything I want?" Shasa was immediately enthusiastic.

"Yes, baby." Make Leo whatever is important Shasa is not sad anymore.

"I want to go to one place, same to you, now." Shasa blinked his eyes at Leo.

"This what?" Leo was still confused and did not know what the name of this dish that was in front of his eyes was.

Shasa suddenly invites Leo out of the house that night. Turns out Shasa took her to the ice shop.

"It's called shaved ice. It's my favorite ice, avocado shaved ice." Shasa smiled cheerfully.

'Haha... Why is he so happy with this bowl of ice?' inner Leo grinned. "I can have the chef at home make ice like this if you want. So, no need to bother going outside."

Shasa shook his head. "It's different when you eat at home. It's better to eat here." Shasa had already started enjoying the ice in front of him.

Leo smiled in disbelief. Then he took the phone in his pocket. Type a message to someone equipped with a photo of ice in front of him.

Leo: Haris, do you know what this is? Tell the chef at home to make ice like this. Give it to me to taste it later.

Message sent. Leo lifted the spoon to try the avocado shaved ice that Shasa was proud of. He tried to remember every taste that went into his mouth because he planned to compare the taste of ice in this shop with the ice made by the chef at his home.
