The Dream of the President

The Dream of the President
Gathering

In the morning, Leo and Shasa had breakfast together. Leo is getting used to the people around him. No more eating alone or telling people to leave their surroundings.

"How long were you there?" Shasa asked Leo.

"At least 3 days." Shasa nodded at Leo's reply. His face was like thinking that 3 days would be a long time.

Before long, Haris' assistant came with a woman dressed formally. Both of them paid respect to Leo and Shasa.

"Shasa, it's your driver. He'll take you home or wherever you want. Make sure you just go with her." Leo pointed towards the woman behind Haris' assistant. The woman lowered her head to Shasa.

Shasa seemed to want to whisper, bringing his mouth closer to Leo's ear.

"Why are you using a female driver?" Shasa asked in wonder. According to him, it is not appropriate to hire women as drivers.

"You think I'm gonna let you in the car with the other guy?" Reply Leo whispered.

Shasa pouted away his face from Leo. Then he gave his smile to the woman.

"What's your name?" Ask Shasa.

"I'm Lita, Miss."

"Hem... Alright. Let's be friends." Shasa gave a smile welcoming Lita.

After finishing breakfast, Leo and Shasa head to the apartment lobby. Assistant Haris and Lita are already preparing in front of their respective cars.

Leo faced Shasa. He looked at Shasa's face and sighed.

"Sleep in my room. My room is more comfortable than yours."

Shasa just smiled and nodded slowly.

"You never sleep in your room anymore, do you." Leo added, making Shasa look right-left afraid that someone heard Leo's speech earlier.

"Go." Shasa tells Leo to get in his car. Haris' assistant opens the car door for Leo. He immediately darted away Shasa who was still standing in the lobby. Before long, Lita opens the door for Shasa.

"Lita, don't put me in the office lobby. Just drop me off at the basement door." Lita who heard the command nodded her head in response to Shasa's wishes.

It was like a hard morning for Leo and Shasa. Maybe because the feelings of love both begin to grow in bloom. Three days must not have been easy for them.

Leo was already inside his private jet. Every now and then he sees footage of his home cctv that he monitors from tablets. She realizes that she and Shasa have never taken a picture together. Even at the time of her wedding, no one had time to take pictures of them.

"Haris, when you get home, schedule a photographer for me." Leo spoke to Haris' assistant who was sitting right behind him.

"Do you want to change the photos in your room?" Assistant Haris confused because not long ago in the room Leo mounted a photo of himself in formal clothes when first appointed as president. Did Leo want to replace it this quickly?

"No, it's not that. I don't seem to have a picture of my wedding with Shasa. At least I should have one even if it's just one."

'Ah... Apparently he was missing again. Though only a few hours apart.' Inner assistant Haris.

"Good, Sir. I'll arrange to take a photo in your house then."

Meanwhile, Shasa is living her days normally. He was busy working on a new development project. Shasa looks more relaxed than Leo who ceaselessly thinks of Shasa. He even slightly forgot about his worries that Leo had left for the next few days.

After lunch with her friends, Shasa stopped by the cafeteria to buy coffee. After he managed to get his coffee, he rushed back. Suddenly there was a man in front of him. His clothes were formal and neat. Shasa really did not know who this man before him was.

"Miss Shafira?" The man asked.

""Yes?" Shasa was still wondering if this man was just guessing his name or peeking at the officer ID hanging from his neck.

Commissioner Gusta was now sitting in his room on the VIP floor. The staff on the floor were a little surprised that the Commissioner had come unannounced. However, he just walked leisurely and walked into his room.

One of the secretary's staff greeted the Commissioner and asked him if he wanted to meet President Leo. But the Commissioner only replied that he would meet someone, not the President. The secretary nodded and went back to his desk.

Before long, Niko comes with Shasa behind her. They walked towards the Commissioner's room. Shasa had no idea what was going on with him right now. He only follows Niko whom he meets in the office lobby.

They arrived in front of a room door. Niko turned her body around.

"Please Miss." Niko tilted her body giving way for Shasa to enter the room.

Jeglex. Carefully Shasa opened the door while guessing who was inside. When his eyes clearly saw who it was before him, Shasa immediately bowed in respect.

Shasa had no choice but to obey Commissioner Gusta's orders. Shasa sat down nervously and still lowered his gaze.

"You know who I am, right?" Commissioner Gusta asked.

"Of course, Mr. Commissioner." Answer Shasa stammering.

"Do you know why I called you here?"

Shasa ventured to see Commissioner Gusta. Then Shasa shook his head.

"I just wanted to ask you a few things. Answer the truth." Commissioner Gusta leaned his back on the sofa.

"You know that my son is the president of this company, right?"

"Of course, sir."

"I don't know if what I'm hearing is true or not. Do you have a relationship with my son? If so, what is your relationship?" Commissioner Gusta asked casually, but instead Shasa grew nervous about the question he was asking.

Shasa was confused as to what to answer. He was afraid to answer.

"It seems you have trouble answering my question. Then I'll help." Commissioner Gusta paused for a moment. "Are you really married to my son?"

Shasa who was bowed, spontaneously saw Commissioner Gusta. He doesn't understand how Commissioner Gusta could have known about his divorce, which even Leo hasn't introduced Shasa to him. Shasa still did not have the courage to answer.

"It looks like my question really made things difficult for you." Commissioner Gusta snorted softly. "I don't know if my status has been abolished as a father by my son, to the point that he didn't tell me he was married."

"Master, I'm sorry. That wasn't his fault. My fault. I asked her to marry me." Finally, Shasa's statement indirectly answered Commissioner Gusta's question. Shasa does not want Leo to be labeled as the child who dumped his parents

"Ah... So anyway. You don't know how important my son's position is? Do you think you can play games about marriage and involve my son?"

"Master, even though I asked for it, but I never considered it a game."

"Then, how can you get married without the blessing of a male parent?"

"Sir, I'm sorry once again. I'm aware that this early marriage was wrong and offended you as his father."

"You don't think what kind of reputation does my son have with this secret marriage?"

Shasa could no longer answer Commissioner Gusta's question because he did realize the mistake at the beginning of his marriage to Leo.

"He could lose all his possessions." Commissioner Gusta replied straightforwardly. "I don't understand why Leo did this."

Shasa never came to mind the thing Commissioner Gusta mentioned earlier. He felt more guilty about this condition.

"Sir, I'll talk to Leo. I'll try to find a solution to this problem. If I have to leave him, then..." Shasa hung his words. A single tear dripped down his cheek. Commissioner Gusta clearly saw that. Ever since he asked so many questions in the beginning, he looked tough. But when he spoke of separation, his tears could not be contained.

Commissioner Gusta was confused by Shasa's change of emotions. Uncompleted with Shasa's words, Commissioner Gusta thrust something at the table. Shasa glanced at Commissioner Gusta for a moment.

Shasa found out what Commissioner Gusta was proposing. A bank card.

"You can use this." Shasa instantly snatched the words of Commissioner Gusta.

"Sir, what does this mean? You're lowering my pride?" The courage of Shasa appeared. "I'm not married for money. I married for my father. If you do not approve of this marriage, ask your son to divorce me." Shasa wiped away her tears. "I'll accept whatever the decision is because he's my husband." Shasa replied firmly. Commissioner Gusta just stared at Shasa who stood up from his seat.

"I beg you to resign, sir." Shasa saluted Commissioner Gusta and stepped out of the room. Outside, he saw Niko who was standing a few meters away from the door as if she was guarding the privacy of Commissioner Gusta's chat with him.

Niko approaches Shasa. "Miss, let me take you to the VIP elevator."

Shasa stared cynically. "no need. I can walk alone and I won't use the VIP elevator." Shasa leaves Niko standing still, astonished by Shasa's cynical attitude towards her.

Epilogue:

After Shasa died, Commissioner Gusta smiled faintly in light of what Shasa had said.

'So that's why you got married.' Commissioner Gusta nodded his head.

'That woman...' Commissioner Gusta did not continue his thoughts to second-guess about Shasa. 'It will be difficult to educate him.' Commissioner Gusta smiled imagining something in his head.
