The Dream of the President

The Dream of the President
Prestigiousness

Niko enters Lita's room. An oxygen hose is still attached to his nose. The infusion needle stabbed the back of his hand. Lita still hasn't opened her eyes. Niko stared at every point of Lita's face. He looks tired in his sleep.

Lita's room is heavily guarded. Niko assigned some bodyguards in front of Lita's room. Inside this large enough room, Niko watched every drop of infusion that entered Lita's body. Niko seemed to wait for Lita to wake up from her sleep.

Niko is quite tired of going back and forth between hotels and hospitals. More tired again because it exhausted its fire energy that was difficult to tame. More and more tired when he saw Lita in front of him mute like this.

'You better keep talking or scolding me, Lita. At least I know that you're alive and well Niko's inner self.

Niko sat down on Lita's bedside chair. He rested for a moment by lowering his head, trying to calm his mind.

Meanwhile, Shasa has been brought back home by Leo. Although Shasa initially insistent on wanting to accompany Lita in the hospital, but the doctor advised her to rest at home. Shasa was already leaning on the mattress with Leo's arm as his pillow.

"You must have been so scared." Leo spoke with worry on his face.

Shasa just sighed softly. Leo stroked Shasa's growing belly.

"I won't let anyone else touch you and our son. Or the guy's gonna lose a part of his body."

"Darling... Don't talk like that." Shasa stroked Leo's chest. "Your son will be frightened. What matters is that me and your son are okay." Shasa tries to keep Leo calm. "Did something happen between you and that guy that he dared to mess us up?"

"He's embezzling the company's money. He also committed a violation of the code of business ethics. The company started to find it recently. Do you remember why we came home early while on holiday abroad some time ago? That's because his dirty deeds have been sticking out and I must immediately save the company's reputation. Papa told me to put him in jail, but he begged me not to. Since he gave me a reason I could consider, I finally decided to fire him and ask to return everything he could from his deeds. Maybe, since then he's been mad at me."

"What was the reason at that time?" Shasa asked curiously.

"He said his son would be ashamed to have the father of an ex-convict. I don't think I can hurt his son. But today, he hurt my son, then there's no more mercy for him." Leo looked at Shasa. "You know how angry you were at hearing this, to the point that you took all the facilities that the company gave him? When he was fired, I still let him enjoy the facilities he was given and I consider that as the final compensation for his tenure at the company. He did not know just how cruel papa was to repay people who disturbed his life. Maybe after that, they'll just beg on the side of the road."

"Darling... Today I also saw how panicked and angry Niko was. He's not like a human being. He was indeed stiff and cold, but only this time I saw him like a cold-blooded killer." Lita.

"Niko was many times more cruel than my papa. He will not let go of those who disturb his life and those he protects. The choice is only two, the person wins from Niko or the person disappears in Niko's hands. The main rule is that Niko never loses."

"Ah, dear... I just realized, how can Niko and the bodyguards be in the same place and at the same time as me? Are they following me?"

Leo fell silent unable to answer Shasa's question. Couldn't he have said that Commissioner Gusta had indeed sent Niko and her bodyguards to follow Shasa while outside the house?

Lita moved her hand. Her eyes began to open. Lita still held her breath. He looked around the room and began to realize where he was. He raised his hand slightly and saw the infusion needle impaled there. Inadvertently Lita's hand nudged the arm of someone who was bowed beside her. The person immediately woke up and looked towards Lita anxiously.

"Lita, are you conscious? Are you okay?" Niko woke up from her sleep.

Lita just kept quiet and looked at Niko. "When have you been here?"

"What's important to ask that now?"

Lita closed her eyes for a while and opened them again. "Is Madam okay?"

"He's fine. Mr. Leo has brought her back."

"You think you're allowed to go home?" Tanya Niko was cold.

"I've been much better, no need to linger in the hospital."

"You don't have to go back to your apartment. In the meantime, you can stay at Commissioner Gusta's house. The lady asked for it."

"Mrs? What madam?"

"Mrs Shasa. He was so worried about you. But since the doctor advised him to take a break, Mr. Leo forced him to go home."

"I'll tell the lady that I'm going back to the apartment." Lita's looking for something on the table. "Where's my bag?"

"Rest first. After the doctor lets you go home, I'll give you your bag. I know, you're looking for your phone, right? The choice is only two. One, I give you your phone, but I'm staying here. Two, your cell phone will I keep until the doctor says you're recovered and I'll get out of here now. Just pick it."

Lita grunting. He could negotiate with the sick. More precisely, negotiate on the victim of an attempted murder.

"You must know, your safety is the salvation of Lady Shasa. If you're in danger, so is he. Even though I have arrested who tried to hurt you, it does not rule out the possibility of other criminals. Until I can control the situation, you need to stay safe for Madam." Niko. For a moment, he looked into Lita's eyes. She left Lita alone in the room.

"Isa... Who are you to control the whole world? You suck!" Lita groused Niko who had already sauntered out and vanished from Lita's sight.

Epilogue:

After being relieved to see Lita had regained consciousness and exited Lita's room, Niko took out her phone from her suit pocket.

"Hello, Niko. How's Lita doing? Is there any news from him?" Shasa immediately asked without warning.

"Lita's been sober, madam. He's resting now."

"Ah, so... Thank goodness."

"Madam, do you think it's better for Lita to come home to her apartment or for the time being Lita to stay home? I want to ask your opinion."

"It's best to take it home. It'll be safer for him and easier for me to see."

"alright. I'll tell Commissioner Gusta." Niko turned off her phone.

'Hey, did he just use me to find an excuse for Lita to be brought home? You prestige man!' Shasa curses her phone screen, cursing Niko who is already satisfied getting what she wants.
