"Then, what about yesterday's emergency meeting, Arthur?"
The next day, the atmosphere of the Palace remained unchanged despite the murder and not many people talked about it.
"They concluded that the killer was not targeting His Highness the Prince or you. Don't worry, Great Saint. I will always protect you if danger approaches" replied Arthur trying to unburden the thought.
When the Goddess Athena gave me this responsibility, she gave me the order not to focus on fighting the invading Devils alone. It helps people who are losing their way too.
I wouldn't be able to do it if all I did was locked up in this palace.
I understand they're doing this to keep me away from the bad guys who are after me. However, I want to directly help others who are in distress. Not just a symbol and a display here. I'm sure there are still a lot of people out there who need me.
"Saint the Great?" Arthur called me back when I didn't respond.
"Thank you, Arthur. I can count on you" I replied with a smile.
In my mind when I was a candidate, being a Saint was traveling to various places to help people. But the truth is, now I only meet with Nobles constantly and attend some insignificant events.
Arthur and I were heading to the Meeting to prepare for our departure to Runfeld Village. There the heroes will enter the 5 ancient temples to complete their final Trial.
I hope, when we get there later, the trial procession goes smoothly. Even if I doubt that. I'm sure the Devils are planning something to disrupt the trial process.
"Great Saint, we've arrived. I'll go into the meeting room first. The servants and guards will take you to the Garden that the Great Saint really likes" said Arthur.
"Alright, thank you ka—" When I wanted to thank him, my voice was held back.
This sound... I heard this familiar voice from behind Arthur's body. I think from inside the meeting room, he was there.
"Patrol Guard will guard around the river area until the Blavik cliff." I heard his voice explaining something.
"Ag— Pain"
"Arthurian... " Before he could speak, I cut him off.
"I-iya Great Saint, do you need anything?"
"Who's the one talking in the meeting room?" my many.
Arthur then remained silent for a moment.
"She was the representative of the Patrol Guard in this meeting in place of Princess Serena who had to go home to take care of something" Arthur replied.
"Is that so...?"
So he's here... He's coming with us to Runfeld Village. Knowing it made my heart feel relieved.
As long as there is him, I'm sure, everything will be fine.
"Well Arthur, I won't hold you back much longer. Meet me at the park after the meeting's over, okay."
"As you wish, Great Saint." His voice sounded very happy when I asked him to see me.

After finishing the meeting with the Holy Knights and the palace Guards, I then gathered with the other Guard Patrols to inform them of the departure to Runfeld Village.
The village is located 200 Km away from Wien City which will require 3 days of travel if weather permits.
I prefer to work with one or two people. Like that for me it will be more effective.
"Don't think too much about what they're saying, Sirus," said Senior Rigel, who was in the Patrol Guard unit to help guard the Saint on this trip.
"If Chief Serena believes you can do it, I won't complain" Senior Kurt tried to keep me from being overwhelmed.
Many of the other Guard Patrols who disliked the Chairman's decision made me their leader in this mission. They said I was only a few months into the group and not worthy to lead them.
I then ordered them to prepare at the Palace grounds located in the western region. The groups will leave at night so as not to attract the attention of the citizens of Wien City.
In the evening, the group was preparing to leave. I was now in front of the Patrol Guards who had lined up in the Palace grounds.
"Our mission this time is to keep the Saint and the heroes in their activities conducting the final trial. When on the way later, we will be on both wings of the group formation. While the Holy Knights will be the Vanguard and Rearguard formation troupe, is there a question regarding laying out our formation?" I explained about the details of the group formation when on the way later.
"If there is none, hurry up and ride the chariot on each of the two wings of the company!" Hearing my direction, they all left the field towards the back gate of the Palace where the retinue was located.
When I got there, there were ten freight chariots and five passenger wagons. In this mission, the Guard Patrol deployed 100 members who were on each wing of the formation.
The Holy Knights deployed 200 Knights who were at the front and back of the entourage.
"We're leaving now!" Georgy's orders.
The group began their journey to the village of Runfeld.

In a place on the border of the Empire with the Kingdom of Aquitaine. A Vampire and a human are talking about a plan.
"that, huh? Runfeld... Mr Warren, how did you get this information?" the vampire asked his human partner.
"I got this information from one of the rebel branches I had planted in the Empire," Warren replied.
"Do you know about the power they brought to keep the last Trial procession?"
Warren then fell silent for a moment.
"I think about 200 Knights and 100 Patrol Guards. Georgy The White Knight will also be there guarding the Saint" Warren said.
"Georgy... huh? Count Regulus! Count Marinus!" The vampire then shouted two names.
Not long after, two Vampire Nobles appeared kneeling before him.
"I'm Regulus at your service, Mr. Geldoro!"
"The servant has come to fulfill your call, sir!"
Noble vampires are different from ordinary Vampires, they have a unique magic-magic and also have the ability to regenerate. In addition, the noble Vampires can come out when the sun shines for a few moments different from ordinary Vampires that will be destroyed if exposed to sunlight.
"Bring your troops to Runfeld Village in the Empire. Your main mission is to kill the Saint and the Hero candidates, are you able to do so?"
"We are both ready to do whatever you say, Sir," replied Regulus, bowing his head.
"There will be Georgy The White Knight. Come here, I'll give you additional strength so that your chances of success increase."
Geldoro placed both hands on each of the Noble Vampire's heads. His eyes then gave off a red glow. The bodies of the two noble Vampires trembled in response to a magic given by Geldoro.
"You two go! Your time to do so is three days, don't miss this opportunity" he told the two Noble Vampires.
