Arc 1 Chapter 1: The Blind Woman

I was making a bonfire when I heard a scream not far from where I was resting. I then moved towards the sound of the screams and found dozens of bandits fighting some of the guards. I started to check the surroundings to make sure no enemies were hiding. The bandits had killed 6 guards and the driver of his horse-drawn carriage.

There was only one woman left from the carriage. The bandits began to talk about the value of the woman in front of them.

I then positioned myself at the blind spot the bandits grasped a Baselard (a short sword) then darted and beheaded one of the bandits. After killing all the bandits, I then approached the woman sitting down and lowered her face.

“How are you doing?” my many.

The woman then raised her face. I could then see her face that had burns around her eye area. His pupils were white, indicating the woman was blind.

“Yes... I'm fine - what,” replied the woman softly. “Thank you for saving me sir,” he added.

“The other one has been killed. You come with me, alone in the wild like this with your condition will only be an easy target for wild animals and bandits - bandits.”

“Ummm,” the woman nodded in agreement.

I gave him a coat so he wouldn't get cold. We walked to my resting place earlier.

The woman didn't seem to have much trouble walking behind me.
