Arc 2 Chapter 6: The Wraith

Late at night, Senior Karl and I were inspecting the area around the meeting point of 6 Eldea Forest.

It's not a full moon today, is it? I think it would be more difficult to use Shadow Link in case of a tough fight.

After a few minutes of checking, we waited for Senior Hans to get the information. The Eldea Forest is quite vast and it would be very time consuming if we were to search for the location of the auction randomly in this forest.

They were in pain holding their stomachs.

I then attacked them back with a double uppercut making them bounced to unconsciousness.

After defeating my enemies, I then saw Senior Hans' part left behind only two people.

“Hey! Use the artifact now!”

I then saw one of the rebels pressing an object in his hand.

Damnit damnit! That's one of the summoning artifacts!

Suddenly, a light appeared on the artifact. The magic circle appeared.

“Aghhhh! What's this!?”

The person who activated the artifact earlier and his partner suddenly both burned their bodies to ashes. Soon two human-like figures with only a skull wearing a cloak seemed to float from the ashes of the two rebels.

Seeing this scene, the drivers of the horse-drawn carriage fled.

“Senior Hans! Chase them! Don't let them run! Me and Senior Karl will face the ones here!”

Senior Hans then ran to catch the drivers. In front of me right now, there are two Wraiths. They then shot towards me while showing their claws. I then retreated dodging their attacks and keeping my distance.

Wraith, they were the incarnations of a dead human but still left deep regrets. They can be in summon or created in places like funerals. The way to defeat him was to use divine magic or a pentagram formation.

“Senior Karl! Does Senior have divine magic or can use the pentagram formation!?”

Not long after Senior shouted that, one of the Wraiths then floated towards the bushes where Senior was hiding.

Senior said that while running from the pursuit of that Wraith. Meanwhile, the Wraith in front of me was seen darting about to attack me with its claws.

I'm fending it off with Baselard. The wraith then swung back her hand attacking my head. I then lowered my head and did a vertical slash towards the top. To cut off his hand. Not stopping there, I did a jump and kicked Wraith's chest that made him bounce.

I then immediately rushed to Senior Karl's location. It looks like he's being chased by that Wraith.

The two Wraiths again floated towards the two of us.

“Senior, is it still a long time?”

I then ran forward to face those two Wraiths. They again showed their sharp claws.

Suddenly, there was a circle of stars right on the ground where I and the two Wraiths were.

I then dodged both of their attacks by bowing and thrusting Baselard right in the heart of one of the Wraiths.

The wraith then disintegrated into dust grains. I then released Baselard to the last Wraith. The skull of his head floated up then became a grain of dust in the air.

“Good Job Sirius!”

Senior Karl gave me a thumb sign. Seriously what does that gesture mean? Is it trendy in the community around?

“Senior, let's go back and meet Senior Hans.”

When we returned to their carriage, Senior Hans was tying the four fleeing drivers together.

“Then, what are we going to do with these unconscious rebels? Also the slaves they brought?” ask Senior Hans.
