Arc 1 Chapter 17: Contact

A man wearing a robe arrived in Ilmenoy City. Georgy The White Knight is seeking a Saint candidate on the orders of Cardinal Leroy.

“This place is becoming more crowded,” he said while looking at people passing by and passing by in the city. “I think the Temple he opened at the time was in the suburbs.”

Georgy then walked to the place of an old acquaintance priest in the city of Ilmenoy.

“This city has not changed at all. Full of assholes. What does the man expect when he wants to settle here?”

In the city, Georgy meets several people who are robbing or fighting. Suddenly, Georgy held the handle of his sword. He felt something dangerous approaching him.

A shadow seemed to pass through it. Georgy's expression began to change when he sensed the aura. He turned around then saw a figure who was running and jumping between several buildings.

“Not wrong, he is one of them. Ouroboros!”

Georgy has a grudge against one of their members for killing his beloved disciple while on a mission from the Temple.

“If I hadn't been on this mission, I would have gone after that guy and made him talk about Jerold's killer.”

Georgy then turned back and walked towards the place of his old acquaintance.

Upon reaching the outskirts of town, Georgy is shocked to see the temple where his old friend lives destroyed.

“Feydayen... Could it be!? Ouroboros earlier!”

Georgy then rushes into the ruined temple to find his friend. Not long after, Georgy sees a bloodied priest leaning against a statue of the goddess Athena.

“Feydayen!!! How are you doing!?” Georgy then approached his old friend and helped raise his head.

“Ah Georgy... I'm very sorry our meeting back in this state..” he said weakly.

“Who did this to you Fey!? I saw an Ouroboros tad—“

“Apostle...” cut Feydayen. “They three and kidnapped a blind woman praying here,” Feydayen said.

“While woman? Wait a minute.” Georgy then takes a piece of paper and shows Feydayen the illustration of the candidate Saint. “Is the woman the same as the one pictured here?”

Feydayen's eyes then glared in surprise because the blind woman who visited him was exactly the same as the picture shown by Georgy.

“Georgy... Who exactly is this woman?” ask Feydayen lirih.

“She is one of Saint.” candidates

Hearing Georgy's reply, Feydayen pulled Georgy's collar and said.

“Caput get out of here. One cloaked man looks like a witch, one Brawler and one swordswoman,” Feydayen told Georgy the three men who kidnapped Lena.

“Alright, use this to treat your wounds. I will definitely get that Saint candidate.”

Outside the city of Ilmenoy, precisely on the edge of the river that leads to the border of the Kingdom of Aquitaine. Three men were running with an unconscious woman.

“Hey Mantis, why are we in such a hurry as being chased by a vampire like this?” ask Sarkous.

“He's right, our journey is very far you know. Why not relax a little,” said Ape has the same opinion. He's in charge of taking Lena.

They ran until nightfall. Around them, Lena's whereabouts were completely invisible.

“Alright, we will rest for an hour then continue the journey.”

They impart invisible magic to Lena so that her helpers of distress regain their target if unexpected things happen.

I saw the pair pendant I gave to Lena flickering the light signifying, she is not far from here. I'm still running after the people who kidnapped Lena. If they came to kill Lena, then I would definitely find her body in the Shrine earlier. From the path they took, they tried to go to the borders of the Kingdom of Aquitaine.

Not long after, the light in the pendant of Lena's necklace pair died. This means that Lena's captors have destroyed her. They already knew I was chasing them, storming them in a surprise attack would not be easy.

The sun was gone and night was coming. The full moon shone brightly shining into the darkness of the night. I could easily see my shadow running in the moonlight. Under these circumstances, I can unleash my full potential.

Not long after, I caught up with them. There were three people who kidnapped Lena.

I could neither see nor feel Lena's existence at all.

I then darted towards the witch from behind and prepared Baselard to slash her neck. However, he turned to face me and opened his eyes with a smile.

A magic circle then appeared in front of his palm which he pointed at me.

“Fire Ball!”

A blaze appeared in his palm then shot towards me who was approaching him at full speed….
