Arc 2 Chapter 14: Color

Green, Yellow, Oren, Red and Blue.

In front of this darkness, I looked at those five colors in front of me. These colors indicate the karma of one's soul. I can easily tell their personalities by looking at the colors of their souls.

The five Hero candidates had been selected which previously numbered ten candidates.

“How are you feeling? after this, all you have to do to become a Hero is complete the last Trial.” I said it to encourage them.

“I'm ready to finish all the obstacles!” I heard that voice from. The soul with the green karma, he is Arthur.

Green karma shows a clean, honest, and courageous soul. Usually those who have this Karma have a very strong determination and are suitable to become a Hero.

“Well... looking at our development during this time, I'm sure we can get through this last Trial smoothly.” That said, it was Juan de Lopez. A Hero candidate who has a Noble background. He has yellow Karma which has a high value of justice. I think he has a good relationship with Arthur.

“I'm curious, this last Trial will be as difficult as before?” She is Alicia von Otaker, has orange Karma. Usually, people with Karma have high loyalty if they are determined to do something.

“I will carry out this Trial until the end, because it is my responsibility.” He was Maxhill von Habsburg—The fourth prince of the Habsburg Empire. He has red Karma. Usually, people who get this karma have a high sense of responsibility and charisma that can move one's heart.

And lastly. someone who has blue Karma—Pierre de Poitiers. People who have this Karma usually have high self-esteem, arrogance, and tend to be unstable personality. It has been a great shock to people with this Karma to have managed to advance so far to become a Hero.

“Regarding this final Trial. Unlike the previous one as well, later you will do the Trial separately by yourself.” This final trial will show who will be worthy of holding the three legendary holy swords.

“That's all I want to say, you can rest now.” I stood up and reached Mr. Georgy, who was standing beside me.

Out of the temple room, I was with Mr. Georgy and then took a walk around the park. This is my favorite area because it has a soothing air and reminds me of my hometown in the village.

“Saint the Great, I get word that we'll be back in the Empire in a few weeks. Is that true?” ask Mr. Georgy.

What Mr. Georgy asked me was about the Alliance meeting yesterday regarding the cohesion of the alliance forces.

A few days ago, Albert the Golden Hero resigned from the Alliance army. They say his son was terrorized in the Empire by a bad rumor that was engulfing Mr. Albert while leading the army.

As a result of his resignation, some troops from the Empire withdrew from the Army. I don't really understand this but I heard that some Nobles in the Empire have dissatisfaction with Mr. Albert.

“Yes, the Alliance representatives agreed to withdraw some of their troops temporarily to confront the rebels in their country. They reasoned that the Alliance forces had given the Demon King's army a crushing attack with the previous battle. So they used this to eradicate the rebels in their country quickly.” It is the one informed to the general public. However, the main reason some troops were recalled was not because of rebels.

There is a crisis of confidence within the Alliance forces. Especially the Nobles with some new Soldiers shining on the battlefield. Nobles who were jealous of their achievements tried to move these new Soldiers with new recruits on the grounds of being injured on the battlefield.

Of course many of these young Warriors did not accept this unilateral decision. They then invited their colleagues to protest. The Nobles with the soldiers then deliberated but found no common ground.

After the victory in yesterday's battle, the Nobles finalized their decision to replace these disobedient soldiers replacing them with new recruits. That was the main reason for the partial withdrawal of the Alliance's forces.

Really, the matter about politics like this makes my head dizzy by just listening to it.

“…?”

“What's Mr Giorgy?” I asked why Mr. Georgy suddenly stopped walking.

I then heard familiar footsteps.

“Arthur?”

“Ah sorry Saint Agung, I didn't know you were also here ahahaha.” Laughing sounds awkward.

I activated the power of the Eye of Truth. A circle of green color floated. However, it is different from the previous bright green color. This time Arthur's soul karma is dark green which indicates he is lying.

“Mr Georgy, can you leave us both. I think there's something Arthur wants to tell me.”

“As per your wishes, Saint Agung.”

After I did not feel Mr. Georgy's presence, I heard the sound of Arthur's footsteps approaching me. I then started walking beside him.

“Ahahaha... I indeed can never lie to the Great Saint huh..?” he said while laughing.

We sat down on one of the park benches.

“Saint the Great, I wonder, why would a person like Pierre be able to advance so far to become a Hero?” Hearing her question made me want to laugh.

“Indeed according to Arthur, what kind of person should be able to become a Hero of it?” I asked him that with a smile.

“It…. I don't know. But I'm sure a Hero shouldn't have the Arogan trait and look down on others like Pierre always did!”

Doesn't Arthur like that with Pierre?

If not mistaken, Mr. Georgy once said 'people with green Karma never always get along with those with blue Karma'.

But, when they're going to be heroes later on, they have to work together and help each other.

“Maybe it's because Arthur doesn't really understand Pierre's true heart. I heard from King Valier, Pierre is a man of high honor as a Knight. Try talking to him from heart to heart to better understand him.” I gave him advice.

“But Saint, how can I talk to him if he always stays away and often humbles me!” Arthur Protests.

“Fufufu... I heard from a male friend of mine, the way men talk from heart to heart is quite unique.” Sirius said this to me.

“Se-a man friend?”

“The way both men talk from heart to heart is by boxing!” I still don't understand what Sirius said to me just yet. But, I believe what he said is true. I never doubted his words.

“Be-is that.. Duel yes... I guess I'll try it later.”.

“Fufufu... Are you confident? Pierre was strong enough.Mr Georgy himself told me that.” I tried to tempt Arthur to further motivate him.

“...!” He suddenly grabbed my hand with both hands.

”Do not worry! I definitely won't let you down, Saint!” I didn't expect it to be that effective as my temptation to motivate him.

Removing my hand from his grasp, I then smiled at him.

“May you succeed, Arthur.”

In a cave in the border area between Astria Archduchy and Salisburg Duchy, Leon is meeting with a Republican spy about a secret weapon he will send to the Wings of Freedom Rebels.

“Can the location not be moved? I got a report that the Patrol Guard managed to catch some of my men. I'm afraid they'll prepare for a big raid if they manage to get information regarding this place from them.” Leon expresses his concern to the spy.

“Master I once told me ‘If they will surprise you, surprise them’,” said the spy.

“What do you mean?”

“Create some kind of trap to kill those Guard Patrols!”

“We do not have enough quantity for it, we also have nothing to trap the Guard.” Patrols Hearing Leon's words, the spy then gives an Artifact to Leon.

“What is this thing?”

“Ah. Use it when those Guard Patrols have surrounded you in that place.” The spy smirked at Leon when he said that.
