The palanquin stopped once it entered the grounds of the Juyan Imperial Palace. Ying Lili without wasting any time came out from the palanquin and saw the palace grounds were indeed turned into morning ground. He ran as fast as he could and knelt beside his father's body. Chou Mei looked at Ying Lili and hugged her tightly. "Your father is no more" he shouted.

Ying Lili looked at her father's lifeless body. "I won't forgive him. I know he killed you, and I will avenge your death," Ying Lili took the oath, staring at her father. There were no tears in his eyes, which alarmed the palace women.

"Why don't you cry? Mourn for her," Ying Lili's aunt told him, whose face was filled with tears. Tears flowed in his eyes, but he spoke nothing. Her mother lost consciousness in her arms which made her worry.

"Mothers. Mother. What happened to mom?" Ying Lili concernedly stated. "Bring the queen to the chamber" one of the ministers there ordered. Five servants came there and brought the queen up. He was taken to the room while Ying Lili followed him when General Wang stopped her.

"I'm sorry for stopping you this way, Your Majesty, but, there is a message from the Crown Prince. For some reason, we should go now to the Han capital," General Wang told Ying Lili as his eyes lowered. .

The servants went from there along with the queen's brother-in-law to the queen's room at Ying Lili's request. He then walked up to General Wang and said, "Tell your Crown Prince that he broke off the alliance by killing my father. I'm not going back." Voice affirmed.

"Your Majesty, please don't accuse the Crown Prince. Marriage partnerships still apply. If the princess did not approve of this, then an unwanted bloodshed would ensue. The crown prince won't let anyone here" General Wang announced.

Li Xiu immediately lowered his eyes, while Ying Lili smiled at him. Sheng Li stepped towards them and stopped right in front of them. "Your Majesty, forgive my son-"

Song Li Xiu stopped talking as he felt a dagger near his neck. Ying Lili yelled at him. "Are you not satisfied enough after killing my father?" Ying Lili angrily asked Sheng Li.

"Why did you kill your brother? Wait, let me think," Sheng Li said.

"Stop accusing others of your wrongdoing" Ying Lili said, defending her uncle. He then grabbed Sheng Li's arm which turned his gaze towards Ying Lili. "You have no brain at all. Your uncle killed your father for the throne," Sheng Li said to Ying Lili and chuckled. Reversing his gaze to Li Xiu, Sheng Li said, "Accept your crime if you don't want to die. You know, I'm not a very patient person."

General Wang also came there with the same person who shot Ying Lili's father. "You should have been more careful with my eyesight. I was not made crown prince just because I was liked by my father. I have very great observing skills," Sheng Li said.

Song Li Xiu lowered his eyes. "I don't trust this guy so, I'm asking you. I know this shooter is working for him," Ying Lili said as she glared at Sheng Li. Sheng Li lost his patience and deepened the dagger on Song Li Xiu's neck as he spoke. "Please, Your Majesty, don't kill me. Yes, I ordered my men to kill brother Wai." Li Xiu accepted his crime. "I'm sorry" he spoke further.

"You lied. You're not afraid of him. He can't do anything. Just tell me the truth, Shu shu," Ying Lili was not ready to trust her uncle yet.

"I'm telling the truth. I killed brother Wai for the throne," Li Xiu announced with a stutter and told him to forgive him.

"How can you expect forgiveness when you accuse the Crown Prince? Close your eyes. It won't hurt at all," Sheng Li spoke and was almost about to slit Li Xiu's throat when Ying Lili stopped him.

"Don't kill him" Ying Lili said and started crying. Tears that he held for a long time came out from his eyes.

"Your tears won't stop me from killing him" Sheng Li said. "Tell me a legitimate reason to quit" he added. When Ying Lili did not speak anything, Sheng Li said, "I'll take it as a yes." But then he grabbed Sheng Li's wrist. "Will my father come back if I allow you to kill him? Why did you even come here? If you don't come here, my father will live" Ying Lili complained as she struck Sheng Li in the chest.

Sheng Li looked at his general and signaled something to him. Sheng Li threw a dagger and gestured for Li Xiu to leave from there. General Wang brought the two out of the room and closed the door behind him.

Sheng Li grabbed Ying Lili's wrist and told her to stop. "It's your father's folly to trust his brother" Sheng Li said.

"It's all because of you, Sheng Li. I hate you," Ying Lili said as she looked at Sheng Li's eyes.

"Good for you. I don't want you to love me" Sheng Li said and grinned. “Now, you've seen your father, then we should go. Ahh, before leaving I want to remind you of something important. Respect me and never accuse me of things I have not done. You don't have permission to call me by my name. I can cut your tongue anytime. You're fun to play with, but if I lose my temper, you'll get hurt a lot." Sheng Li whispered in Ying Lili's ear.

Sheng Li removed his grip from Ying Lili's wrist and stepped back. "A royal tribute will be given to him by me, and your uncle will be punished. I don't forgive people easily.Yes, your father will not be brought back by this but, I cannot allow the wrong people to rule this small kingdom, " Sheng Li said. "Unlike you, I'm not a good man," Sheng Li said.

"It's not about kindness but it's about my father's trust in him until his last breath," Ying Lili said, wiping tears from her cheeks.

"Faith turns you into a fool - remember this. He might attack the Han Kingdom in the future," Sheng Li argued.

"Juyan would never betray the Han Empire. The marriage alliance has mentioned that you will not hurt anyone if I am going to marry you. I assure you that uncle will never betray" Ying Lili said in a stern tone.

"I'll kill you if he's going to betray Han any time soon. In that case, don't beg for your life," Sheng Li said.

"I have given you my word. Juyan is now a loyal ally of Han," Ying Lili said. Sheng Li agreed with Ying Lili, but somewhere he suspected her.
