Chapter 23: I am a one-woman man
The Crown Princess arrived at her house and sat on a chair there. "Your Majesty, there is blood on your lips. Are your lips bleeding?" Court lady Xu asked worriedly. Ying Lili touched her lips and shook her head in rejection. "Is the bathroom ready?" Ying Lili asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. Last night may have made you tired, so everything was prepared" Madam Xu said. Ying Lili noticed the smile that the palace lady was trying to hide from her. Nothing happened between them, the crown princess had to keep it a secret to avoid another night with the crown prince.
Ying Lili dragged herself forward and went to the bathhouse. The crown princess noticed the crown prince also coming to the bathhouse next to her. She quickly went inside where the servants helped her undress. Ying Lili walked into the big bathtub.
The hot water calmed his nerves and the scent of rose petals also calmed him down. Two maidservants poured milk water onto the milky white skin of the crown princess and then in front of her. "Why is milk prepared today for bathing?" Ying Lili curiously asked the court lady Xu.
"Your Majesty, the Empress wants you to look after the Crown Prince that's why Her Majesty wants you to take good care of your body. Milk bath will smooth your skin and ..." The palace woman could not finish her words as Ying Lili told her to stop.
"It's a waste of precious milk. Please do not wear it in my bathroom. There are still many other ways to take care of the skin" said Ying Lili. Court Madam Xu lowered her head and stepped back. After the crown princess finished her bath, she was taken to the dressing room where she was getting ready.

Then, there were rumors about our wedding night so, to end it, the crown princess came last night to spend time with me," Sheng Li insisted and made her gaze bored on the Empress.
"It's nice to see the crown prince and the crown princess get along well with each other. Summer is coming soon, you two can go to the Summer Palace to spend more time with each other" the Empress said. The Emperor agreed with Weng Wei.
"Crown Princess, after breakfast come to my palace. Court Lady Xu must have told you about that," Empress Wei told Ying Lili.
"Yes, Your Majesty," Ying Lili replied.
"I'm sorry for this disturbance, Your Majesty, but, Lili and I have decided to have a sword fight every day after breakfast. Last night, I learned from the crown princess that she missed him and used to do it every day when he was at Juyan. So, I ask His Majesty to shift the time for the crown princess to go to His Highness Manor, "strictly Sheng Li.

"Your Majesty, I ask you to call Lili later in the morning," Sheng Li said with a lowered head.
Emperor Han Wenji gestured for Weng Wei to allow Sheng Li. "You can do that, Crown Prince. Ying Lili, after that sword fight you will come to my palace," Empress Wei said in a commanding tone. Ying Lili shook her head in agreement and then glared at Sheng Li who gave her a grin.
"Yes, Your Majesty. Last night, the first elder brother told me that you have decided on this," Sheng Li said. Ying Lili looked at Sheng Li with a puzzled expression. "I'm glad you're not against me. Miss Xue will be the noble consort of Prince Guozhi" Empress Wei said.
Ying Lili was perplexed to hear him and looked back at Sheng Li. "Why didn't he say anything. She loved Miss Xue," thought Ying Lili and then looked at the Empress.
"Your Majesty, it's good to see the crown prince respect my decision. I'm glad Sheng Li that you're not against this marriage. The concubine for you will soon be decided by your crown princess," Weng Wei said with a smile. .
"Your Majesty, I am a one-woman man. I don't want to have a concubine. Please consider my decision as well, Your Majesty," Sheng Li said softly. Ying Lili was stunned by the crown prince's reply.
"What happened to her? Until yesterday, she was yelling about her love for Miss Xue then, why didn't she protest? Moreover, she refused to have a concubine! What does he mean by a man of one woman?" Ying Lili wondered.

"Thank you for respecting my decision, Your Majesty," Sheng Li expressed his gratitude and then turned to Ying Lili. "Let's go," Sheng Li said and left the hall. Ying Lili lowered her head in front of the Emperor-Emperor, and then followed Sheng Li.
