Weng Yu shook his head in agreement with whatever his elder brother told him.
Ying Lili and Sheng Li moved in a circle, twisting the swords in their hands, glaring at each other. "Lili, you used a punch on me so, that means I can use it too, right?" Sheng Li questioned Ying Lili.
"Why did you ask my permission? It's not that you're going to make him an exception for me" Ying Lili said. Sheng Li smiled as Ying Lili pointed the sword towards him. Sheng Li moved his right leg to the side and raised the sword to defend against Ying Lili's attack. Ying Lili sneered at the crown prince. "I don't want to fulfill your wishes," Ying Lili said with a stern expression.
"You can't choose, Lili," Sheng Li confirmed and then took out a clean silk handkerchief from his robe. He wiped the sweat off Ying Lili's forehead while Ying Lili told him to stop. "I wish I could, but I want everyone to know that this cruel prince is kind to his wife" Sheng Li said.
From the high-rise platform, Xue Yu Yan was watching them. He tightened his fists. "How can the crown prince get closer to her? Did my marriage to her first brother not affect her? Does he not love me anymore? Just a day ago, he confessed to me, how could he change his mind so quickly? Is it because of her beauty? That girl!! My aspiration to become the next queen has failed, but, I will make sure not to let her sit next to him as well," Xue Yu Yan thought as the sound of her throats thumping her mind.
He turned his head, finding Prince Yongzheng and Prince Zemin coming there. He lowered his head in front of them to greet them as Prince Rong Zemin spoke, "Miss Xue is not allowed to come here."
Xue Yu Yan raised her head but her eyes still lowered. "really? Then what is the crown princess doing here, Your Majesty?" Xue Yu Yan complained, looking at the crown prince and the crown princess.
Yongzheng moved his fan right under his chin and opened his mouth to speak. "Miss Xue, the crown princess is an exception. The crown prince is the one who made this exception, so, no one will have any problems with this," Yongzheng said softly.
"May I ask why the crown prince made the crown princess an exception, Your Majesty?" Xue Yu Yan politely asked, her gaze fixated on the ground.
"Because Her Majesty is the second highest woman in this kingdom.
