We Wild Last Night

Chapter 22: We were wild last night

Sheng Li was unable to sleep due to the anxiety he was experiencing. She turned around and saw Ying Lili completely stuck to the wall without a blanket but, she was sleeping. Sheng Li looked at Ying Lili's slightly visible face in the dim candlelight. "Geez, he finally agreed to something with me," muttered Sheng Li and then, turning his gaze away from her. "If you were here, I think you would like this woman," Sheng Li muttered and closed his eyes.

"Why do I feel as if someone has burdened me," Ying Lili thought in her sleep. He placed his hand on his stomach when he touched a hand that did not belong to him. Sensing an unusual touch, he remembered he was in the Crown Prince's residence. The crown princess opened her eyes. He was astonished to see that he was lying next to Sheng Li and one of his hands was placed on his chest.

He pulled his hand back and moved away from her quickly. "How did I end up in this blanket? Did he do anything to me at night? How can I be off guard and fall asleep," thought Ying Lili and checked her clothes. The crown princess was comforted that nothing had been done to her. The crown princess decided to leave the bedroom. He stood on the bed and decided to jump over the crown prince because there was no other way to get out of bed. Moreover, the crown princess was unwilling to wait for the crown prince to wake up, and then he would leave.

Raising her legs slightly upwards, the crown princess almost jumped out of bed when she discovered the crown prince had woken up. Meanwhile, Sheng Li was thinking about what Ying Lili was doing. She was bored with her cold gaze on Ying Lili who pulled her legs back. "What are you doing?" Sheng Li asked confusedly with a threatening tone.

Ying Lili stepped back as she was entangled in her own dress. Unable to balance herself, she fell on top of Sheng Li who was grimacing in pain and groaning. Ying Lili's soft lips landed on Sheng Li's lips but the impact was so great that Sheng Li got a cut on his upper lip and started bleeding. Immediately, he lifted his head and looked at Sheng Li who was shooting glared at him. "Pardon me," Ying Lili stuttered as she looked at the blood on Sheng Li's lips. He touched it and muttered, "blood." Sheng Li pushed Ying Lili and quickly sat on the bed. He touched her upper lip and then looked at her bloodied thumb.

"What are you trying to do?" Sheng Li shouted at him. Ying Lili lowered her eyes. "Jawab," Sheng Li's voice roared in the room. Ying Lili raised her eyes and saw blood still coming out of Sheng Li's upper lip. He immediately sat on the bed and then stretched out his hand to touch his lips when Sheng Li slapped him.

Ying Lili approached Sheng Li. "It's too bloody. Let me check it once. Don't be a stubborn child" Ying Lili said with a concerned look and touched her thumb. Ying Lili put away Sheng Li's thumb and then looked at her wound. He pulled his hand back and took out a handkerchief from the pocket made on his robe.

"Get out," Sheng Li told Ying Lili who did not listen to him, and gently wiped the blood off Sheng Li's lips. "I'm sorry," Sheng Li heard Ying Lili. "I want to leave before you wake up, so, I'm thinking of jumping over you," Ying Lili told the crown prince. He blew air into Sheng Li's lips that were peeking at him.

"Hmm, it clumped," Ying Lili proclaimed and raised her head to look at Sheng Li when she discovered their closeness. "When I kissed you in your bedroom which was part of your act of slapping me, what should I do to you who stole my kiss and then hurt me?" Sheng Li asked Ying Lili who widened her eyes in astonishment.

"I was shocked that time and it was without my permission," Ying Lili said.

Ying Lili blinked her eyes and then closed her eyes. "Here, you can also slap me," Ying Lili said with a stutter. Sheng Li chuckled and looked at Ying Lili's face. "Lili, I am indeed a cruel man but I do not slap women," Ying Lili heard Sheng Li whisper those words on her lips.

Immediately, Ying Lili opened her eyes and asked, "But for you, there is no gender. Since I made a mistake, I'm ready to accept punishment." Ying Lili proudly told Sheng Li who was looking at her amusedly.

"You're right that to me there is no gender but that doesn't mean I'm going to slap a woman especially you who's my official wife now. It was shocking to see you asking for punishment willingly," Sheng Li uttered and waited for Ying Lili's reply. Ying Lili had never expected the crown prince to be so considerate of her. "Is this really Sheng Li or is he playing me with his words?" Ying Lili thought as Sheng Li flicked his finger in front of her.

Ying Lili came to a realization from her mind and looked at Sheng Li. "Think of that how could this merciless man utter such words?" Sheng Li asked Ying Lili who did not say anything.

Sheng Li leaned closer to Ying Lili's ears and whispered, "I'll be waiting for you in the military field. The loser will kill someone in prison." Ying Lili was shocked to hear that. He turned his face and looked at Sheng Li who was grinning at him. "So, try to defeat me, otherwise you will have to kill someone, Lili," her deep voice and threatened to scare Ying Lili for a moment.

"Go away from here before I will kick you out," Sheng Li insisted and got out of bed. Ying Lili quickly got out of bed, put on her shoes, and left the bedroom as quickly as possible. Seeing the crown princess coming out of the room, Eunuch Xing-Fu came up to her. Putting her head down, she greeted him. "Your Majesty, the stretcher is ready for you," Xing-Fu told Ying Lili who nodded and left.

Xing-Fu, on the other hand, walked into the crown prince's room and looked at his injured lips. A small smile formed on his lips. "What's the reason for your smile?" Sheng Li asked Xing-Fu.

"Your Majesty, this eunuch is pleased to see the growth of the crown princess's relationship with you. But, it seems like the two of you were too wild last night," Xing-Fu said and returned smiling.

"Indeed, we were wild last night," Sheng Li proclaimed, recalling some incident with Ying Lili where she had to control her anger at him. "Tell His Majesty the Emperor not to call the Royal Astrologer. The two of us will spend such a night alone," Sheng Li ordered Xing-Fu.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Xing-Fu received the crown prince's order.
