Chapter 29: Trust Your Majesty
An-Ying Lili stood in front of Hu Jingguo. "You killed him just because you thought he was my lover, right?" Ying Lili asked Sheng Li who had a heavy expression on her face. "Xiao, didn't you hear me? Bring me the sword," roared Sheng Li, glaring into Ying Lili's eyes. Xiao took out a sword from his scabbard and went to Sheng Li. General Xiao handed the sword to the crown prince.
"Indeed, I think she's your lover. He went into the palace to meet his lover," Sheng Li said. "Jinger, move. Let this savage man kill me," Hu Jingguo said with a sharp look in his eyes.
"I won't kill you instead, your lover will kill you with his hands so you can remember this that I don't like men who go after my women," firmly Sheng Li and then looked at Ying Lili who was crying. . "He's not my girlfriend. He was my childhood friend. Please take his life. I beg you," pinta Ying Lili while lowering her eyes.
"Lili, your tears and your requests will not melt my heart. If you don't kill him, I will kill him brutally" Sheng Li said. The crown prince was angry at the crown princess who sided with the other man in front of him.
"Then kill me. Kill me too. You always want to kill me, so you can do it today. Kill me first, then you can kill him" Ying Lili said. It antagonized Sheng Li, and he grabbed onto Ying Lili's chin. "Do you think I won't kill you? What am I supposed to take this for? How can I believe that she's not your boyfriend?" Sheng Li shouted at Ying Lili and pointed the sword at her neck.
"Your Majesty, please calm down," General Xiao intervened.
Both Sheng Li and Ying Lili glared at each other as the pointed sword blade, pierced through Ying Lili's skin and blood flowed out from it. General Xiao became tense looking at the situation there and once again told the crown prince not to take a step in anger.
Blood covered the blade of the sword as Sheng Li threw it to the ground. Ying Lili took a heavy breath and her eyes slowly closed. He was about to fall when Sheng Li caught him in his arms. "Lili, Lili," Sheng Li said with a worried expression as he patted her on the cheek.
Sheng Li carried Ying Lili and walked out of the dungeon followed by General Xiao. "Call the Royal Physician" Sheng Li ordered General Xiao who was walking after them. In the military barracks, there were residences that were also made for the princes and generals of the army.
Sheng Li brought Ying Lili there and laid her on the bed. He continued to press the neck area that he stabbed through the sword. The Royal Physician came running there. "Your Majesty," the royal physician lowered his head in front of the crown chief. "Treat the crown princess," Sheng Li said as he looked at Ying Lili.
The Royal Physician quickly took out the medicine and some bandages from the cloth bag he was carrying. "Your Majesty," said the royal physician and Sheng Li stood up from the bed. The Royal Physician quickly put a clean cloth over the wound and wiped the blood from it. Luckily the wound was not deep so the royal physician had no difficulty in treating it. After the royal physician was done, he stood up and turned to the crown prince.
"Your Majesty is unconscious due to the sudden loss of blood and is about to wake up soon" the royal physician told the crown prince who shook his head. "Please, apply this medicine on the wound at night. Your Majesty can call me as well," said the royal physician while handing the small medicine bottle to the nodding crown prince. General Xiao took away the royal physician from there.
Sheng Li, on the other hand, sat beside Ying Lili whose brows were furrowed. He raised his finger and gently rubbed his finger between his eyebrows. "Don't kill him," Ying Lili said in a soft voice that Sheng Li didn't hear, so, she leaned closer to him and heard the same word again.
General Xiao came there and lowered his head. "Your Majesty must have controlled his anger. His Majesty will be furious if he finds out about this," General Xiao confirmed.
"Do you blame me? She was crying for him. What meaning should I take from it?" Sheng Li questioned General Xiao.
"Yes, Your Majesty," General Xiao lowered his head and left the room.
Prince Jian Guozhi could be seen in the basement standing in front of Hu Jingguo. "Why did you enter the palace? Don't you know that I have good eyes for devious people like you?" Jian Guozhi asked as he looked at her. "Because of you, the crown princess is injured. Do you know how painful it is to see the crown princess in such a state?" Jian Guozhi stated.
Hu Guozhi did not have enough strength to speak when Jian Guozhi splashed water on his face. Hu Jingguo gasped for air after being hit by a splash of water on his face. "He touched your face and I will crush this face of yours," Jian Guozhi said with a look of despair when General Xiao came there.
"Your Majesty must leave," General Xiao announced, looking at Jian Guozhi.
"General Xiao, I caught the culprit and, the crown prince allowed me to punish the culprit as I wished," Jian Guozhi said with a stern expression.
"I'm afraid but the crown prince has just ordered me to convey this message to you that His Majesty will finish it himself. The punishment will be decided by him" General Xiao said. Jian Guozhi clenched her teeth. Jian Guozhi wanted to speak but in front of the crown prince's orders, he did not dare. "Try to give him the death penalty. He tried to break the relationship of the crown prince and the crown princess," Jian Guozhi said.
"Your Majesty, it's up to the crown prince to decide," General Xiao said. Jian Guozhi shook his head in agreement and left from there.
