Chapter 10: I'm enjoying playing with you
Leaning closer to Ying Lili's ears, Sheng Li whispered, "Never expect love from this evil and cruel man. Feed this in your mind - 'You will never warm my bed.' Remember this unforgettable wedding night, dear Crown Princess."
Ying Lili peered into Sheng Li's dark red eyes. "Who wants to warm your bed? A cruel man like you does not deserve to be loved," Ying Lili said with a stern expression.
"Stop calling me cruel. I might be doing something with you that I don't want to do," Sheng Li uttered, which made Ying Lili a little afraid. But, he wanted to remain vigilant, so he said, "Don't try to do that." The crown princess struggled to escape the crown prince's clutches, but it seemed that she was strong enough for him to handle.
The crown princess felt her skin near the chest wet from the blood dripping from the wound she gave to the crown prince's chest. "You wounded a noble and do you know what it means?" Ying Lili heard Sheng Li ask her this.
Sheng Li then released Ying Lili's one hand and traced the outline of her face using her index finger. "Your beauty can seduce, it can amaze everyone in the world, but not me. The first prince is already fascinated with your beauty and I don't know about the other princes." Ying Lili was confused.
"I really wanted to kill this guy, but why does it seem like he's lost something in his life?" A thought suddenly stuck on the head of the crown princess.
"Why didn't you kill me? I tried to kill you," An-Ying Lili questioned Sheng Li who chuckled. Ying Lili was waiting for a response from the crown prince.
"You're different, who pressured me not to kill you. Your futile efforts are almost nil in front of this cruel prince. I've started to like the hate relationship between us. A brave woman like you won't be killed easily," Sheng Li declared and leaned closer to Ying Lili who placed her free hand on her shoulder to push Sheng Li away.
His strength seemed extremely small in front of the crown prince. In fear, he closed his eyes tightly and pursed his lips. "Throw away the thought that I will consummate the marriage with you. My main goal today is over. I really enjoyed this wedding night. We're gonna play more like this. You act as I wish," Sheng Li whispered in Ying Lili's lips.
Immediately, An-Ying Lili opened her eyes and astonishedly looked at Sheng Li who was grinning at her. He left both his wrists and stood up. Blood from his wound had spread on the white satin sheets.
"I hope you won't get hurt next time by me. Play carefully with me, dear crown princess," Sheng Li said as he walked out of the bedroom.
Sheng Li reached his bedroom and sat on the bed. The crown prince opened the knot of his robe and saw the wound that the crown princess had given him. "I should have killed him when he stabbed me. But why did I stop?" muttered Sheng Li who stood up and inspected the wooden cabinet nearby.
Taking a cotton swab, he wiped the blood from the wound and cleaned it well. After applying the medicine over the wound, he went to the bed and lay down on it. He pulled the sheets and covered himself from it just below the chest, and closed his eyes.
Ying Lili could not believe her ears as she sat on the bed. Both of his wrists now had traces of the crown prince's fingers. She looked at the bedsheet, which had blood spots on it, including on her clothes. She was relaxed and happy that the crown prince had not done anything to her.
Ying Lili touched her clothes near her chest and blood flowed into her hands. "I have to clean it up before the other waiter sees this. But how is it going?" the crown prince thought.
The eunuch's head, Xing-Fu, came to the door, standing behind the white curtain where the crown princess was faintly seen. "Your Majesty, forgive me for bothering you. Your servant will help you change clothes and then you can sleep soundly, " Xing-Fu said.
"No, Your Grace. This is an order from the head of the imperial crown that I must follow," Xing-Fu said. Ying Lili understood and shook her head in agreement.
"Your Majesty, this eunuch wants to say something," Xing-Fu said.
"Yes, please," Ying Lili allowed the eunuch's head.
"His Majesty should regard the crown prince as a cold and cruel man. I have served His Majesty since his birth. He is not the person His Majesty thinks of," Xing-Fu said humbly.
Ying Lili furrowed her brows. "May I ask why are you talking like this?" An-Ying Lili asked politely.
"Your Majesty, your marriage to the crown prince is highly emphasized by the Imperial Emperor. Having never felt love, he gave himself up like this. I hope Your Majesty will see through the crown prince," Xing-Fu replied.
"He killed my father. Did the eunuch chief think this woman could open her heart to such a person who did not listen to my mother's request and killed my father?" Ying Lili complained as her eyes glazed over.
"Your Majesty misunderstood the crown prince. His Majesty is not the one who will go against his father's orders. His Majesty only threatened you and everyone else there because he thought he could stop the marriage. His Majesty never listened to anyone's request but, for His Majesty he returned to Juyan Palace to pay his respects to the late King," Xing-Fu explained to Ying Lili who was now thinking hard.
After a while, Ying Lili spoke. "Tarnished relationships are always tarnished, and they cannot be repaired. Thank you, eunuch chief, for telling me all this. Please thank the imperial emperor for sending this message through you."
Xing-Fu flinched as she was confused about how the crown princess learned that the imperial emperor had sent this message through her. "Your Majesty, I'll go. The waiter will come soon," the eunuch's head insisted, and gracefully stepped back, going outside the room.
An-Ying Lili thought hard. A thought popped into his mind - 'Did my uncle lie to me?" But, he was not prepared to accept that because in his eyes the brutal Crown Prince did not deserve to be loved.
Su Binxi came there, which stopped the crown princess' mind. "Your Majesty, I have brought you new clothes. Let me help you," Su Binxi offered, and stepped forward when she saw the bloodstains on the sheets.
"Miss, may I ask you something?" Su Binxi asked, and lowered her eyes.
"Speak," Ying Lili gave him permission.
"Why did His Majesty leave so quickly? You should have been in the bridal room all night," Su Binxi said.
"Don't take any other meaning from this. Nothing happened. It's just that I injured the crown prince," Ying Lili said to her assistant who nodded and then brought Ying Lili into the dressing room.
