Empress Wei was seen drinking chrysanthemum tea with her son Jian Guozhi. "Mother, I don't love Xue Yu. Still, for your sake, I agreed to make her my empress. But, do you think it'll benefit me?" Jian Guozhi raised her doubts as she sipped tea.
"You lost the crown prince's seat. I told you back then not to hesitate and see what had happened? Sheng Li has obtained the throne. He was the fifth son of His Majesty but the most favored. That's why as soon as you are removed, His Majesty mindlessly places him on the throne twice," Empress Wei said as she tightened her grip around the porcelain cup.
The empress could see the helplessness of her son and indeed, the imperial emperor sided with Jian Guozhi. "Son, the ministers, and the military both supported Sheng Li at this time. The crown princess doesn't like Sheng Li that's why I'm not against Her Majesty. We can use the crown princess in our way," Empress Wai suggested to Jian Guozhi who furrowed her brows.
"What are you trying to say?" Jian Guozhi asked.

Her father is dead which is the reason for the rift between them and you know what you know.to do next? Juyan's men are the crown princess's weakness and once we're going to use them as our pawns, we're going to win this chess game. The crown princess herself would kill the crown prince. And, I knew Sheng Li would soon fall in love with her. The only thing a man cannot resist is the beauty of a woman" Empress Wai said with a grin.
Jian Guozhi also smiled and poured more tea for her mother. "Mother, you're wise. Once he is about to kill the crown prince then my path to the throne and the crown princess will be cleared," Jian Guozhi proclaimed and grinned.
"Can't you walk fast?" Sheng Li asked Ying Lili in annoyance.
"How do you expect me to walk fast when there's so dark? What if I'm going to fall?" Ying Lili snapped at Sheng Li. General Xiao slightly laughed seeing them fighting as Sheng Li glared at him. Xiao lowered his eyes immediately and apologized. "Why isn't there a fire torch here?" Ying Lili complained.
The lantern that Sheng Li was holding, he handed it to Ying Lili and then carried it. "How dare you touch me?" Ying Lili shouted at Sheng Li and thrashed in Sheng Li's arms.
"If we're going to walk at your speed, I'm afraid we'll get there after two days" Sheng Li announced. "Now, try to tell me anything and we'll be back," Sheng Li threatened Ying Lili.
"General Xiao, tell your crown son that leave me right now if he doesn't want to die" Ying Lili said, glaring into Sheng Li's eyes that were seen in the dim light of the lantern.
General Xiao rushed over to the crown princess and looked at the crown prince. "Help him and I will cut off your hands," Sheng Li confirmed as he walked in front. Ying Lili stood up and stroked her arm then ran after Sheng Li. "How dare you throw me like that? Am I a bag or something?" Ying Lili yelled at Sheng Li and used her full strength to hit him on the shoulder. Sheng Li wavered at his steps and sneered. Ying Lili looked around and saw that they were in the forest. General Xiao, on the other hand, smiled looking at the two. Sheng Li was angry when Xiao came to him. "The crown prince must not hit a woman" whispered General Xiao near Sheng Li's ear.
"Is she a woman? He struck the crown prince of the kingdom," cried Sheng Li who Ying Lili heard, and turned to look at him.
"Are you a man? Throwing the crown princess to the ground," Ying Lili also snapped at Sheng Li.
Sheng Li chuckled and was about to speak when General Xiao intervened among them. "We will be late if the crown prince and the crown princess continue to fight like this," Xiao argued and gave them a small smile, trying to calm them both down. They started walking in the forest and after a while came near a hut. Sheng Li entered the terrace. Stepping two stairs, they entered the door.
Ying Lili came forward and looked at Hu Jingguo who was lying on the bed, covered in bandages. Lei Wanxi was also there as she took care of Hu Jingguo. "First Brother brutally beat up this young man," Lei Wanxi said as he turned to look at the crown princess who was staring at the crown prince.
"Is he awake or still unconscious?" Sheng Li asked Lei Wanxi.
"He's up" Lei Wanxi replied and stood up from her seat. "It takes at least a month to cure it" he added.
Sheng Li walked near Hu Jingguo who lowered his eyes to greet him. "I-I'm sorry for my wrong attitude, y-Your Majesty," Hu Jingguo said with some pause.
Sheng Li did not give any response to him and looked at Ying Lili who was staring at him. "I think the Juyan people are lacking manners. To be honest, it was not the fault of people but the fault of their daughter who was kind, beautiful and intelligent," Sheng Li said emphasizing his last few words, staring at Ying Lili. “You can talk to him,” the crown prince then allow the crown princess.
