Look at Me, My Husband

Look at Me, My Husband
S2 Mother of my son 34

Early in the morning, the plane that was carrying Dennis had landed at Soekarno Hatta airport. The man with a frantic ornate face ran out to look for a taxi while calling Mbok Sumi.

“Bu, Vienna is sick. Now in the hospital. I'm off flying to America. Now in Jakarta.” Dennis said on his phone with a gasp of breath.

“Hah! Over where? What's my grandson sick?” mbok Sumi asked, no less panicked. His hand that was cutting vegetables trembled. A few days without news from Vienna, he was surprised by this sad news. Tears dripped from her sunken eyes and soaked her wrinkled cheeks.

“I don't know yet, Ma.”

“Send the address. I'm going to visit Vienna and bring her favorite food. The child will have difficulty eating any pain,” said Mbok Sumi, sobbing. His mind wandered far away. Two more years taking care of Vienna, he has finished a lot of things. He knew clearly the preferences and customs of Vienna, even the little girl had slept with him since infancy.

“Yes, Mom. Later I will contact mom again.”

Hospitals.

The solar barged in from the gap of the maintenance room window curtain. Silence enveloped the morning with the aroma of milk mixed with fried rice neatly arranged on the nightstand. The occupants of room 28B are still lulled in dreamland. Wira and Naina share a place on the sofa bed. The hero lay flat on his back on his left side and Naina half-back filled the empty space on his right side. It appears that Naina's hand hit Wira's flat stomach involuntarily.

Time has shown at seven o'clock in the morning, but a pair of human children who had been bound by marriage are still reluctant to open their eyes. Too tired, after all night taking care of their fussy and crying baby.

Brakes. The sound of the door opened violently, surprising the grandson of Adam and Eve who was still wading through his morning dream.

The hero is disturbed, so is Naina. The two were surprised to find that they were sharing a place together. It took a few minutes to realize the situation while collecting fragments of memory that had flown.

Both of them were looking towards the same spot. At the open door of the room, welcome the tall blue-eyed and white-skinned man who stepped valiantly. Walk closer while smiling to say hello.

“Sorry .. disrupting your sleep. I'm sorry to visit Vienna,” Dennis said trying to control his own feelings. Jealousy pinches her heart when she finds Naina sharing a place, both with Wira.

Love is real, of course the pain will come to his heart in this moment. But as an ordinary man, he can do anything. Just like when he cultivates grudges and vents, then regrets. That was his feeling too. Destroying his sister's household, he uses the opportunity to keep what he has broken and falls in love.

If you can refuse, of course Dennis wants to refuse, but the heart is not in line with logic. Can be arranged and arranged in such a way. The heart problem is a mystery that until now has not been solved. The heart can turn things around in a matter of seconds. Hearts can make hate and love just a thin sheet of paper.

“Mas ...” Naina greeted after her memory returned perfectly.

Hero, the man still tidied up his feelings when he saw Dennis walking closer to the gurney. He saw how Dennis pulled the chair and grabbed the little girl's hand

“Vienna, fast healing. Daddy came to see you,” whispered Dennis kissed the tiny hand that was none other than his second love after Nola, who now changed his identity to Pelangie Wijaya.

Satisfied staring at the slumbering face above the gurney, Dennis turned to Wira and Naina who had already cleaned their faces and sat stunned on the sofa. Both are silent a thousand languages, creating awkwardness that feels more and more real.

“Sorry ...” Dennis walked over, brought a chair and sat across from the two.

Staring at Wira, there were many regrets that he wanted to share with his younger brother.

"I've forgotten it. I can't step while carrying the burden of the past." The hero said slowly. The sentence slid smoothly from his lips, but his heart was torn apart. Forgiving with the heart is not as easy as saying it. Although sincerely said, still revenge and hate are still left in the corner of the heart.

"I'm sorry, Wir. Revenge brought me to all this. And I'm trying to make up for it as much as I can." Dennis is back.

"Thank you for taking care of and loving Vienna for me." The hero raised his gaze, his speech sounding sincere this time.

Slowly thrust out his hand, upon seeing the regret in the blue eyes of his interlocutor.

"You completely destroyed everything to the point of being left alone!" The hero voiced out after the embrace of the two brothers unraveled. A sinister smile then cast his gaze away.

"I want to be able to hate and grudge like you. It's just that I'm afraid to regret it someday." Hero continued.

"Please, I don't mind. You can hit me. It can kill me too if it can make you feel calm and win" said Dennis smiling as he spread out his arms.

"No. .. I don't want to live in regret like you now." Hero explained.

"I fought back after you knocked me out of the world. Falling at the lowest point. My household is a mess .. I was separated from my daughter for so long. Even today, my daughter's heart prefers another father. I can what?" wira continued, staring at Naina who had been bowed since.

"Aren't you still able to fix it now" Dennis said.

"When the cup breaks and falls apart, it can never be whole again. There will be small fragments left behind, even if I try to glue them back together. Same with what we experienced. Me, Naina and Vienna. Three years passed, all changed with time."

Dennis bowed. "I'm sorry, Wir. I'm really sorry. If I could go back, maybe I'd choose another path."

The hero let out a rough sigh, looking back at Naina.

"I chose to make peace with you. It might hurt, but for Vienna's sake, I'm willing to share it with you. Like when you gave Nola to me for revenge, it must not have been easy for you as a father."

"Forget it. No matter how much I hate you, you are still my brother. No matter how angry I am, Viennese heart is bound to you. I should what? Screaming and rampaging? Will it all bring things back to the way they were? No, right?" The hero said quietly, clutching Dennis' shoulder, and hugged the man tightly.

"I forgive you for Vienna." The hero whispered right in Dennis' ear.

"Thank you" Dennis said in a hug. Two rounds of tears of relief descended on the man's cheeks. There was a heavy burden lifted from his heart as an apology was spoken from the lips of the Hero.

The brother had just unraveled his embrace when the phone in Dennis' pocket rang. The man's forehead in a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans crinkled as he saw a row of nameless numbers appear on his screen.

"Yes, good morning" said Dennis.

He saw the information shared by the caller. His eyes were round, his body was shaking violently. Even the latest smartphone that has not been bought for a long time is regardless of the grip. It fell to the floor and fell apart.

"Mas, what's wrong?" naina asked in surprise.

It took Dennis a while to answer. He was still shaken by the sad news he received.

"Mother ... mother .. died. I don't know for sure, but the information I got was like that." Dennis said while crying like a child.

"How can you?" ask Naina. His eyes began to glaze over.

"I don't know, Nai. Said the next door neighbor, Mom's in an accident. Lastly, I asked for a hospital address and intended to visit Vienna while bringing her favorite granddaughter's food."

“Then?”

Dennis shakes. “I leave Vienna, I have to take care of Mom now.”
