Look at Me, My Husband

Look at Me, My Husband
S1. Chapter 40

“Fit, you took a taxi home, yes?” Naina took out the wallet from inside her handbag. Withdrawing five hundred thousand bills. Give it to Fitri while telling a lot of things.

"Why so much, Mom?" ask Fitri wonder.

"To make up for your vitamins, the rest can be to buy pregnant milk. Fit, I might not be back at the boutique again. Please convey with others,” continued Naina.

Fitri nodded slowly, smiling. “Thanks, Bu.”

Naina steps towards the pediatrician's practice room. Deliberately waiting at the door, in order to meet Nola and her nanny. The woman in the light blue chiffon dress looked ordinary. There was not the slightest aura of sadness. Trying hard and strengthening his heart, that what he heard was a coincidence.

Refuse to believe in a time when the evidence and facts are not yet in his hands. Moreover, all this time, she did not feel that anything had changed from her husband. The man came home on time every day, always with him at all times.

Five minutes waiting at the door. Naina's eyes circled around the hospital, looking for traces of Wira or Stevi. Certainly, there must be one of the two, accompanying Nola. There was no way the little girl was left alone with her nanny.

Naina's daydream comes to a halt, as the practice room door opens with Nola's nanny holding a teary-eyed little girl.

“Hai ... Nola.” Naina greeted softly.

The nanny's face turned pale when she recognized Naina. “Nyo ...nya,” he said staggered.

“Yes, Ma'am. I happened to take a friend to check her pregnancy,” said Naina, trying to be ordinary. How broken and shaken his heart was at this moment, only he was the one who knew the most, apart from God of course.

“Who's here with, Ma'am?” Naina threw a question back.

“Two with Nola only, Mistress. Catch a taxi here.”

“Oh, then come with me. Coincidentally I also want to go to my in-laws' house,” bargained Naina, revealing a stiff smile.

Trouble forcing lips to smile, when her heart wants to scream and cry. Since then, Naina fell silent, repeating all the stories of Wira. Stringing pieces for pieces that have been conveyed to him.

“It's okay, Mistress. I can take a taxi.” The babysitter refused.

“Contact with me, Ma'am. Let alone we are in line.” Naina forced.

With all the persuasion, Naina can finally bring Nola and her nanny along with her car. Chatting casually occasionally teasing Nola, Naina must take pains to endure the turmoil of the pain that tore her heart apart.

“Mbak, why not Stevi or Nola's papa? Always like this?” naina fishing line.

“Ya, Mistress. Since from the baby, always me who brought to the hospital.”

The eyelids glazed over when they heard the answer coming out of the caretaker's lips. If Naina was lamenting her fate, now she pityed Nola's fate.

“Papanya?” The floating question, Naina was at a loss as to how to ask.

“Papinya .. too busy working, Mistress.”

“What kind of a fire it is, to the point of not caring about his own son. Poor Nola. Nor can I blame, perhaps ...”

Naina bites her lips, wanting to scream and berate, but to whom.

“Her father rarely visits Nola?” ask Naina.

“Yes, his papa rarely visits. If you visit for a while.” The nanny was straightforward. Confused himself to answer what. Hearing Naina's question, she knew that the woman holding the wheel knew something.

The journey from the hospital to Stevi's home was quick. There were many questions that Naina asked, although not openly. Naina was gathering facts she had not known.

“Mistress, thanks.” The nanny cradled down Nola, waving goodbye. In the slightest, did not offer Naina to stop by inside. He knows himself enough, as a nanny is not entitled to do that sassy.

“Why should you, Mas ...” isak Naina. The tears were unstoppable again, pouring out profusely without being held back.

Recalling his series of stories with Wira, reminiscing about a five-year journey home. There was joking, laughter, sorrow and tears. All complete his love story with Wira.

Until now, Naina still refuses to believe that her husband is married again and has a daughter who is considered a friend.

“Mas ... This hurts. It hurts so.” Naina squeezes her chest. The pain is slicing, it's poignant, it's sore. Naina is shaken, falls and can barely get up again.

His laughter had been in vain, his happiness all this time seemed to be meaningless. The most feared thing in life is being felt unnoticed.

“Mas ... Why do you have to, Mas,” quietly.

Almost half an hour Naina spilled her pain, trying to come to terms with her pain, trying to think clearly at a time when her brain was almost dead-end. Trying to get up when both of his legs did not even have the strength to support his body.

In the midst of lamenting himself, the ringing of his white device slowly flowed. He wanted to ignore it, but he couldn't. That's not Naina's nature. Smiled bitterly when he saw the name of the Hero appear on the screen.

Naina rubbed her two tear-filled eyes, pulling out the fluid that filled her nostrils.

“Ya, Mas.” The voice trembled, holding back the tingling of the taste.

“Nai, where are you?” ask Wira. His voice sounds ordinary.

“Mas ... where?” Strengthens heart. Naina wanted to cry again when she heard the voice of the Hero, softly flowing in her ears as usual. Warm and make it comfortable. Always has been so all this time.

“Mas at home mom. Nai so following?” ask the hero again.

Naina was no longer able to speak. His voice is still heard. The voice of the Hero made his self-defense collapse.

“Mas ... Nai .. can't catch up,” said Naina stammered, covering her mouth with both hands, holding her sobbing from being heard.

Silent, Naina bit her lips, trying to brace herself.

“Nai, are you okay?” The hero begins to feel something strange, after making sure Naina's voice sounds different.

“Yes ... Nai is fine. Mas ... direct to the office?” asked Naina again, trying to sound tough.

“Yes, after visiting mama, Mas directly to the office. Want to stop by Stevi's place for a while, Mas bought a doll for his daughter, so all leave it.” The hero answered honestly.

“Mas, Nai turn off first. Nai was driving,” broke up Naina, without waiting for an immediate answer disconnecting the phone call.

His cry broke again as the voice of the Hero disappeared. And sure enough, before long Naina could see Wira's car pulled over from a distance. The man went down holding a small doll in his hand. However, not for five minutes, Wira had already returned to the car and left the place without much drama.

“Even so far, you still refuse to lie to me. Why not lie, Mom. It might not hurt like this.” Naina recalled, how all this time Wira always tried to be honest with her.

“You're honest, making everything even more painful. You should have lied, Mom. At least I have a reason to hate you,”

“You should have lied to me, Mas.” Naina sobbed back, considering that just yesterday Wira admitted that she was the husband of Stevi.”
