Look at Me, My Husband

Look at Me, My Husband
S1. Chapter 43

“Mas, later I stop by mama's place first, before going to the office.” Naina told me while preparing breakfast. A barrel of white rice landed seamlessly on a plain white ceramic plate. As a wife, Naina really served the Hero well.

Almost twenty-four hours, Naina found out the truth. Slowly his heart began to grow strong and strong again. Naina begins to make peace with her tears and cries. Not unwilling to take action, but he needed evidence and did not want to be rash. At least when it comes to taking a stand, Naina believes her decision is not due to momentary emotions but is really an attitude based on maturity and mature thinking.

“Mama contact you, Nai?” The hero had just dropped his burly body on a shiny, lacquered wooden chair. Staring at the plate of white rice that Naina had already served him.

“No, Mas. Nai just want to visit mom alone,” she explained. Grab a slice of soy sauce chicken and a slice of potato, put it next to a pile of rice.

“Thank you, Darling.” The hero had already played the spoon and fork with both hands, before throwing a warm smile starting his morning.

“Why not have breakfast together, Nai?” The hero feeds a full spoon. Chicken soy sauce and potatoes were the man's favorite menu. Become a favorite when made by the touch of Naina's hand and love.

“I'm still full, Mas. My sheep haven't been friends for a few days. Frequent nausea every morning.” Naina explained, rubbing her stomach.

For almost three days, Naina had to struggle with her nausea every morning shower. Fortunately, the situation only lasted in the morning, then he already felt fine.

“Need to doctor?” tawar Wira, upheld his seat when he heard his wife's complaint. Tucked away worried, of course. Which husband does not panic when he knows his beloved wife complains of pain.

“No, Mas. Nai is fine.” Naina shakes.

“If Nai wants to see a doctor, Mas will accompany. Don't go alone, Nai.”

“Yes, Mas. It seems like just the weather changes, the nausea is also not too severe. Only occasionally, it was not too influential just my appetite so reduced.”

Silent for a moment, the two clenched their lips with their respective minds. The clinking of spoons and forks in contact with the plate sounds obvious every once in a while. The hero was enjoying his breakfast and Naina was drowning with her thoughts. Weigh, must be honest or lie. Long struggling with consideration, finally the woman with an apron attached to the body opened her voice.

“Mas ...” Sounding doubtful, Naina still calmed her heartbeat for the next string of sentences.

“Yes, Nai.” The hero raised his gaze.

“Nai, stop by Stevi's. Yesterday, next to Nai's boutique, there was a newly opened doll shop. Nai had bought, but was confused as to who. Thinking of her little girl Stevi, Nai would give her to Nola.”

“Ya ..” The hero answered briefly.

Weirdo? Every movement of Wira is currently the attention of Naina. Nothing looks suspicious, Wira looks ordinary. Not surprised, not nervous or panicked. And certainly not trying to prevent.

*“What are you thinking, huh? Aren't you afraid that all your lies are exposed?” *Naina monologue.

“Be careful bring the car, Nai. Always call Mas.” The hero closed this discussion with a smile, while feeding the last rice into his mouth.

“Yes, Mas. Want to leave now?” Naina asked back, after seeing Wira sipping a glass of water to the toilet.

“Yes, Nai. There's a morning meeting. There are big projects, pray everything smoothly.” Stand up and give Naina a quick lip. A warm swab at the top of the head, as a cover for their morning show.

“Mas departs now, Nai.” He hands out as usual.

“Yes, Mas. Be careful on the road,” said Naina, gently tucking the back of the hand of the Hero.

“See you later today, Nai.” The hulls on the waist were slender, both of them running in tandem to the outside patio.

The intimacy is still the same, Naina's indulgence is still , everything is still the same. Only his heart began to change, the wound was still scarred despite trying to be covered with great difficulty.

There was a cry stored in every tangle of sentences that came out of the lips of Nola's nanny. Looking at that sweet girl, like looking at herself. Pathetic and thirsty for his papa's affection. It's just that Nola hasn't been able to protest. Naina is sure, in the next few years, Nola will be transformed like herself, enjoying her pain.

Scribbling story after story from Nola's nanny, Naina's gaze can not be separated from the tiny innocent girl who smiled happily hugging her gift doll. Sitting on the floor of a play mat-lined room, Nola with her ponytail hair looked very happy.

There's no Stevi with them, Nola's mom is at work this afternoon.

“Nola doesn't miss mami?” naina asked, clutching the little girl's body to sit on her lap. Together the two sat on the floor.

Rejection at the beginning, for Nola of course Naina is only a stranger. However, the doll in the girl's hand was too attention-stealing, making her forget all the awkwardness.

“Nola hasn't been too smooth talking, Madam. Can only mention mami, papi, sus ..” Babysitter explains.

Since then, the two have dominated the story of Nola, from birth to the present. Not a second did the nanny leave Nola alone with her guest.

“Yes, huh? Smart kid.” Naina put a sweet kiss on the little girl's cheek while combing Nola's hair that was broken in a mess with the tip of her fingers.

All the movements of Naina never separated from the pair of eyes that always watch her closely. And Naina knows, she's being spied on right now. Just natural! Of course it would be strange when suddenly he came to visit only armed with a doll. Wira hopes to have passed this information on to Stevi before, and the caregiver does not suspect excess for his first visit because it has been previously notified.

*“Tante can do what, dear. Aunty needs a strand of your hair, pretty boy. This is for you, also for Auntie,” *Naina mutters in heart.

Stepping out of Stevi's house, Naina could smile in relief. All requirements have been met. A few strands of the little girl's hair, will be merged with her husband's. He needs reassurance, even if the results are painful.

Before stepping into the hospital, Naina still took the time to stop by her mother-in-law's place. Just say hello and exchange simple stories, enjoy a warm tea while talking about gossip celebrities homeland. Sometimes telling the act of a housemaid or sharing the story of the wife next door. That's how Naina and her in-laws meet face to face, worthy of a real mother and child.

Not infrequently both tell the behavior of the Hero, an important man in his second life. The language of the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law was able to shift the existence of the father-in-law. The middle-aged man chose to play with his ornamental fish or enjoy the chirping of his pet bird.

Almost an hour later, Naina finally said goodbye. “Ma, Nai says first.”

“Nai where are you going? Directly home?”

“No, Ma. Want to buy lunch for Mas Wira, after that stop by the office. It just so happens that Nai is not cooking today,” explains Naina. Bowing to kiss the back of her mother-in-law's hand.

“Tomorrow mama to your place. Want to rummage through your boutique, Nai,” he said after knowing his daughter-in-law's boutique will soon be closed.

“Yes, Mom. Still a lot of stock. Mama just choose. “Nai to back first, parting with papa.”

A little relieved, Naina had almost finished her story. Walk to the car with a little relief that is not long on the chest.

Two large hospitals in the city center became his destination. Leave the sample, praying for the results. Of course, it wasn't an easy trip for Naina, there was a lot of fear at every step of the way to uncover facts that might be different to her expectations.

“Hopefully Nola is not your daughter, Mas.”
