Look at Me, My Husband

Look at Me, My Husband
S1. Chapter 11

“Mas, Nai pregnant?” asked Naina, teary-eyed. He regretted, when he found out that fact.

Hero nodded. Unable to answer, too painful. Just by looking at his wife's sad face, guilt hit him again.

“Im sorry Mas, Nai.” The man hugged Naina tightly.

“Should Mas not leave Nai too late,” continued Wira. His heart pierced painstakingly looked at the sad face that his wife was trying to cover. His heart ached as he stared at the wounded look that tried to strengthen itself and hold back the tears so as not to shed.

“Excuse Nai, Mas.” Naina's slow voice choked, shaking violently resisting the sobs that were about to break.

“This is wrong Nai. Nai should have listened to Mas to stay waiting at the mother's house, but Nai denied. This is wrong, Nai. Forgive Nai, Mas.”

Naina grabbed her husband's right hand, peeling the back of his hand repeatedly while saying sorry. Seems to get a severe punishment, because it has become an ungodly wife.

The tears were dripping, descending slowly adorning Naina's pale face. His self-defense collapsed.

“This is a punishment for Nai for denying all of Nai's own husband's remarks,” whispered quietly. Go back to apologizing.

Hearing Naina's constant outpouring of guilt, Wira hugs back to calm down.

“Not wrong Nai, this is also wrong Mas. Don't be like this, honey. Maybe it's the way. We are still fighting again,” explained Wira.

For almost ten minutes, Naina tried to calm herself down, stop her crying, trying to accept this harsh reality.

“Nai, I'm sorry. We can definitely pass it together,” said Wira corroborates.

Naina nodded. “Iya Mas.” Naina spoke, quietly barely audible.

He had to be tough, for the sake of the Hero not feeling guilty constantly. Her husband even kissed her hand, apologizing to her.

“Iya Mas's. This isn't the first. Nai certainly can pass through, Mas also certainly can,” said Naina teary. This is not the first incident. During their five-year marriage, Naina had several miscarriages.

Naina fell silent, recalling this two-month journey. Means there was a baby in the womb, but she was unaware. Repeating memories after memories during pregnancy. There was an invisible gaping wound trying to be covered from her husband.

She and Wira desperately wanted the presence of a baby, not now, even from the very beginning of marriage, there was no intention to delay it. But soul mate, death, sustenance including the presence of children in their household are part of God's plan. He and the Spirit could do nothing but pray and try.

The hero who chose not to go to the office today, just a day in the hospital accompanied Naina. The man had just informed his parents about the calamity that had befallen him and Naina. And now papa and Mama Wira are on their way to the hospital.

“Nai, do you need anything? Does anyone hurt?” ask Wira. Since then he had been watching his wife who looked dreamy.

“Nai is fine, Mas.” Naina answered briefly. Even so, his gaze was still blank, glaring.

The hero who had been sitting on the sofa, walked over. There was a sense of worry and sadness to see the condition of his wife. Although Naina says he is fine, Wira knows that his wife is not in a good situation.

“Mau mas feed feed?” wira asked, dropping her body sitting next to Naina.

“Nai still full, Mas.” Shaking slowly, dropping his head on the shoulders of the Hero.

“Mas, forgive Nai. Because Nai, Mas so can not go to the office,” said Naina slowly.

“Why should apologise constantly, Nai. It is my responsibility to take care of you. Mas this is your husband,” Wira said, dropping his head against Naina's head.

The hands of both are intertwined.

“Mas, if Nai can't get pregnant again, Mas how?” naina asked, trying to let out a gripping worry in her chest since earlier.

“Definitely, can. Don't be sad, Nai,” entertain Wira.

The ringing of the cell phone from the bag of pants instantly disperse the intimacy of both. The hero reached into the bag and found Stevi who contacted him.

“Honey, Stevi is calling. Mas lift first, yes,” said Wira, showing the phone screen that raises the name of the secretary.

The hero chooses to receive a call outside the room, not wanting Naina to hear her quarrel with Stevi.

“What's up, Stev?” ask Wira as soon as she receives her phone connection.

“Mas, why not to the office?” ask Stevi from across the street.

“My wife is sick, I can't go to the office today. Indeed there is a problem what?,” said Wira and asked back. The man was seen pacing in front of the treatment room with one hand tucked in his pants pocket.

“Naina hurts what?” stevi asked, curious.

“You don't need to know what my wife is sick of. You have no right to interfere and take care of my and Naina's domestic life. What you have to deal with is Nola!” resolute Hero. There was a distinctly printed tone of dislike.

“Passed you, Mas. I asked nicely, but instead you answered me like this,” Stevi said sounding annoyed.

The hero breathed a rough sigh. “If it does contact me for unimportant things, you should just turn it off,” stressed Wira.

The man was about to disconnect, but Stevi's scream came out of his expensive device.

“Mas!!”

“What time will Mas find Nola. OUR CHILD has been looking for you since yesterday, Mas,” asked Stevi, deliberately affirming our child's word to remind Wira.

“I can't see Nola today Stev. Maybe after Nai's condition improved, I was only able to meet him,” explained Wira.

“Mas!!” Again, Stevi's voice was heard so loud that it shrieked his ears.

Stevi's emotions are stirred again when Wira again can not come to see her daughter.

“Mas, if with me Mas is being unfair, I can still accept, but please don't be unfair to Nola too. In any case, Nola's your flesh and blood, Mas.” Stevi said, her tone softened and slightly groggy.

“Yes, I know Stev. Have I ever ignored Nola? No, right? It's just that Naina needs me right now. I can't leave Naina alone. He has no one,” explained Wira.

“You're really unfair, Mas. We have nobody here either. That Nola and I only have you, Mas. Our condition here is also the same as with Naina.” Stevi started sobbing. As usual, she had to swallow disappointed.

“Mas knows, we don't just need to get enough of everything. We don't just need material from you, Mas. Nola needs her papi. He needs a whole family,” Cerocos Stevi.

“Ya. Then leave Nola to me. Me and Naina will take care of him here, will give him a whole family,” said Wira.

“Your delay, Mas.” Stevie is crying right now. The words of Wira had already really hurt him. At least the man never considered his existence.

“So when will Mas come to visit Nola?” stevi asked, holding back his sobs. He gave up and shifted his questions.

“Let me call again. Stev, Naina's looking for me now,” broke up, rushed back into the treatment room.
