I Am No King's

I Am No King's
Chapter 40 – Old Friend

Another schneider agent finally came along, gave me and the others a chance to leave. After being forced by Mulisu, at least, Adini got two findings on the second floor. The first finding is the mattress is still neat, there are no visible signs of use. The second finding is that there are some dust-free spots on the table facing the window, tripod marks or something like that.

As they continued the investigation, we returned home.

"When do you want to explain it to them?"

“Wait a minute, isn't it you who should explain?” I refute Mulisu.

“And, do you think, they prefer that explanation given to whom?”

I looked at my two future wives and found that their eyes had been fixed on my body. Fine, fine. I'll explain it.

The sun has gone up, but it is not yet noon.

"When can they get together?"

"This one too. If you want, they can come here in less than 1 hour."

“Shortly..”.

I paused for a moment, trying to think of the best path. Even if it was just telling stories without showing or proving it, I was sure Inanna and the Emir would believe all of my words. But is that enough? Would I be content with just telling stories?

"Gin, you're starting to grin."

"What are you thinking?"

Inanna and the Emir reprimanded me, who had subconsciously grinned. Hahaha, if in front of people I trust, sometimes, my expression can come off and slack by itself. Ninlil, father, and mother also sometimes rebuked me as they did. Yeah, nevermind.

"All right, then." I've already decided. "Mulisu, gather them all this afternoon, 1 o'clock. They don't have to come here, let us go there. I want to explain our condition to them and introduce Emir and Inanna."

Apparently, it was not just me who had an ugly habit of suddenly grinning. Mulisu is the same.

"All right.” Mulisu. “You remember the location?"

"While I didn't forget, he'd pick me up, right?"

"Haha, yes. Yes already, I'm first yes. I'll call them."

Mulisu ran away, leaving us.

I paused for a moment and looked towards Inanna and the Emir. If I looked into their eyes deeply, I could see their curious eyes, wanting an explanation as quickly as possible. But you have to be patient.

"You two, get your best weapons ready."

***

After lunch, we were ready to leave the house. I told them not to eat too much, which is light.

As per my request, the Emir and Inanna have prepared their best weapons. The Emir wore dark igni suits, beige cargo pants, and a red vest. He turned the Krat into a hand, leg and chest protector. In addition to the body, a backpack is also seen on the Emir's back. He said it was also Krat.

Inanna's outfit is arguably the same as Emir's, the difference is that she wears a dark green jacket. I checked Inanna's clothes and found that in each pocket of her pants and jacket there were 10 small pegs, a total of 120 small projectiles. In addition to his pocket, he also carried as many as 20 large pegs placed inside a large guitar bag. At least, each large peg had a length of 1 meter.

"Come, go."

"Come on." Emir and Inanna answered simultaneously.

We walked to the nearest stop and took the bus. The bus was quiet, unlike the usual crowded ones.

A few minutes passed. Fifteen minutes passed. They both said nothing. Are they nervous? Yeah, it might be.

"Ung, by the way, Gin, aren't we wrong to take the bus?"

So, Inanna was the first to realize it huh.

"Emir, what do you think?" Inanna asked.

"Inanna's words are right." The Emir looked around. "From that time, this bus did not stop at any bus stop and there were no other passengers. What possible?"

"Don't worry." I stopped Emir and Inanna before they stepped up. "This bus will take us to the meeting location. After the tunnel, on the other side of the mountain."

"Eh?"

"Hey, Lugalgin."

A familiar voice, to me, sounded from the driver's seat.

On the other hand, this voice must have been foreign to Inanna and the Emir. They were on alert when the driver called me.

"Yes, Ibla, what's wrong?"

"Are they both your rumored future wives?"

We talked to each other without seeing each other. I'm still looking at Inanna and the Emir sitting across. And I'm sure Ibla's not looking back.

"Yup, they're my future wife."

"Heh..... Hey Lugalgin," Ibla brought up a new topic of conversation. "What order do you think they're in?"

“You're assuming they join the elite team?”

“Yes is. It is impossible for them to be employees.”

"Yes too. Then...."

I paused for a moment, thinking, trying to bring up all the information I'd ever collected. After thinking for a moment, I came up with an answer.

"For the Emir, maybe under you because as I recall he has not been able to withstand his bloodlust and killing intent well enough. To Inanna, I think she's equivalent to Simurrum or Uru'a."

"Heh, that's great Inanna too. On the other hand, the Emir is weak also means."

"Yes, how else. The kingdom's intelligence standards are fucked up, aren't they?"

"Haha. And, you think, whose fault is this kingdom going awry?"

"Who are all parties?"

"Haha, really a safe looking answer. Turns out, your peculiarity is still not gone."

After that, we went back to silence. The Emir and Inanna continued to throw glances at Ibla. I don't really care about those two who don't say anything. I prefer to look out the window.

How long have I not seen this sight. Two years? Or more? I don't know. I'm not sure. However, not much change has happened. The rice field still stretched as far as the eye could see. Some birds are on it. The river continues to accompany the road non-stop.

Finally, after ten minutes had passed, we stopped. This bus stopped at a stop that could be called ringsek. The three of us went down first, then Ibla came down.

"Include me, my name is Ibla. You could say I'm Lugalgin's partner."

Ibla is a squinty male with long brown hair braided like a tail. The front part of her hair is not lost as it is in western movies, but it still leaves bangs. He is currently wearing the bus driver's uniform.

"Huh? A colleague? No kidding! You're just a guy, just like everyone else. And again, you're at the last rank."

Another voice, familiar to me, appeared. Next to the stop, I saw a flat-chested female with a pretty beautiful face. Her green eyes looked in tune with her short hair that was shaded in dark green. This woman is named Yarmuti. He wore a black strip blue t-shirt and jeans to his knees.

"Don't do that, Yarmuti," Ibla tried to persuade Yarmuti. "I heard from Lugalgin, chances are, Princess Emir will have a rank below me. "

"Ma, sorry, I'm not a princess anymore."

"Hmm?"

Yarmuti came immediately, approaching the Emir. He looked at the Emir deeply, inspecting all the curves and shapes of the Emir's body.

On the other hand, the Emir can only stand petrified, not responding to anything.

Not long after, Yarmuti smiled.

"What a shame, Ibla. I don't think your position as a caretaker will change."

"Eh?"

"And then, to that woman," Yarmuti lowered Inanna with a thumbs up. "At least, perhaps, he would be at Simurrum's level."

"Eh? But Lugalgin said–"

"Lugalgin must have said this redhead was under you and the black hair was on par with Simurrum or Uru'a, right? For this blackhead, I quite agree. But, for this redhead, no. He's better than that." Yarmuti looked at me. "What do you think, Lugalgin?"

Not only Yarmuti, but Ibla, Inanna, and Emir were also looking at me. They were all waiting for my response and confirmation.

I turn and step. I could hear the footsteps of those who walked following.

No one makes a sound. Apparently, they were waiting for my answer.

"I do not deny Yarmuti's judgment. I made assumptions based on my knowledge of the Emir. And, the last time I saw him fight was a few months ago, before we left for Mariander."

We made a turn, up the stairs made of arranged stone, without cement. Thanks to the tall trees on the right and left of the stairs, we were not overheated.

"On the other hand, Yarmuti's instincts are much stronger than mine. I think if in terms of judging someone, he'll give me more accurate results."

"Eh? So. so..."

"Sorry, Ibla," I interrupted. "It seems you're still the caretaker."

"Yeah......"

"Tu, right, I told you."

I looked back, towards Ibla who was hanging his head. Next to him, Yarmuti pounded Ibla's back hard.

I turned my eyes to Inanna and the Emir. Since arriving, they have not said anything.

"Are you nervous?"

"Eh, ah, maybe?" Inanna answered.

"Do you understand what we're talking about?"

"Our powers?" The Emir replied as well as replied back.

"Yep, that's right." I returned to look ahead. "After this, you will meet all the members of the elite, and Mulisu. Ibla and Yarmuti behind you are both wrong. Including me and Mulisu, there are a total of 11 elite members."

"And, with us in, will it be 13 people?"

I just smiled a little in response to the Emir's words. Funny to see him happy to be able to join an elite member when he did not know what elite members I meant.

Not long after, we reached the top. In front, there is a large building. Not a mansion, not a villa, not a temple, but a warehouse.

Without saying anything, we entered. At first glance, the inside of the building looks like a sports locker room, filled with cabinets divided into four elongated hallways. We went to the first hallway from the left, the nearest hallway from the entrance, and walked towards the back of the room.

I stopped in one of the closets. "Ibla, Yarmuti, take them back. I'm gonna be alone for a minute."

"Good."

Ibla and Yarmuti answered simultaneously.

The Emir and Inanna kept glancing at me. I could feel the pity from their sight. Does my face make an expression worthy of pity? Might as well.

But, eventually, they left.

I stood, silent in front of the door of the cupboard two and a half meters high and half a meter wide. I never expected that I would stand back in front of this closet.

I opened the closet, behind the closet door, bound to a jade ring framed with patterned silver. I don't remember tying this ring and making it a necklace. It must have been them. Yeah, I don't blame them anyway. I hung this necklace around my neck and I picked up another thing in the closet.

A two-and-a-half meter long spear was black with a blue stripe moving into my hand. At the end, there are three spear eyes attached. One eye is a triangular knife. Under the eyes of the first spear, on the right and left, were attached curved spear eyes. The three spear eyes took place as much as 40 cm from two and a half meters long the spear with a width of only one inch.

I haven't used this spear in a long time. In fact, actually, I have no intention of using this spear anymore. But, often, life does not go the way we want it to.

I took a deep breath. Alright.

I closed the closet door.

Clangs

Eh? How, sounds? I tried to open some other cabinets and my guess was correct. Another closet is empty. Yes, their decision was right.

I set foot towards the back of the building. Not long after, I arrived at a courtyard surrounded by a four-meter-high wall with barbed wire at the top. If people saw this place from the outside, they must have thought this place was a prison.

In the courtyard, there were seven people besides the four who had come with me. Their standing position was Emir and Inanna was in the middle, four people on my left, and five people on the right.

Ibla and Yarmuti are on the left. Next to Yarmuti, there are Uru'a and Simurrum.

Urua is a male with brown hair and brown eyes, generic. Her hair model stood up and combed back. If you look at it, you will realize he is similar to the hoodlums that can be found in the alleys of the city especially with his jeans and leather jacket. The point is to attract attention.

For Simurrum, he is also a man with short hair and is shaded with red, the color so like Emir hair. It was fortunate that he did not wear contact lenses, so his eyes still looked brown. I don't want him to have the same eyes as the Emir.

With sleeveless t-shirts and vests, one would regard Simurrum as a crutch. And yes, Simurrum and Urua often go together. Therefore, the similarity of their clothing types is inevitable.

To the right, from the farthest, there are Mari, Elam, Umma, Ninmar, and Ur. Mari is a woman with a short bob haircut in white. This woman has a petite body and a young face, baby face. She was wearing military clothes whose bottom was a mini skirt. Don't ask why her hair is white. He hated that question.

Elam is a man with a macho and large body. In fact, his jacket and cargo pants were unable to cover his swollen muscles. His black hair was only in the middle, on the right of the bald left.

Next to Elam, there is Umma. The first thing you will have is her long hair, which is either red or brown, mixed in. Not only her hair, her eyes were different. On the right red, on the left dark brown.

However, it cannot be forgotten also if he has a large chest size for his slim body. For some people, they will only realize Umma's hair later. He was wearing a white T-shirt covered in a grey jacket and training pants.

Ninmar is a woman with purple hair. A tribal tattoo is on his left neck. He tied his hair back, giving the impression of being dexterous. Ninmar wore trousers with a tank top. A piece of gum was puffing from his mouth.

The last one, Ur, is a short male, maybe one or two inches above Mari. He has a short messy haircut. His eyes and hair are black. It is better not to ask him which family he is from. He was wearing a blue shirt and trousers. Three buttons over his shirt were open, showing a black shirt underneath.

At that moment, all of a sudden, the Emir took the horses. In fact, he had already turned the Krat into eight turret tanks. Other than the Emir, no one took the horses.

Ah, he must have come.

A figure walked past me and stood in front. He was wearing military clothes, a scarf, and a black robe. Dark brown hair tied model high ponytail. In the past, he must have worn a white wig. However, because now his hair was long, no longer. Lastly, you will not be able to see his face because it is covered by a clown mask with a picture of a red star on the right cheek.

"Emir, put the gun down."

"But, Lugalgin."

"Emir, it's me." The figure standing in front of me raised the mask, showing his face.

"Eh? Pulisu? Why are you wearing Kinum's clothes?"

"Yes, that's because I'm Kinum. Ah, before you misunderstood, I had heard from Lugalgin that you had been attacked by Kinum. I guarantee it's not me who attacked you. The one who attacked you was a fake."

Mulisu answered quickly before the Emir misbehaved.

"Well...." The emir was silent for a moment.

"Eh? Drink that one? You mean Kinum of Agade, Sarru's right hand? Sarru who is rumored to be able to single-handedly exterminate top black market organizations?"

Suddenly Inanna gave a long prologue.

Ung, I didn't think Kinum and Sarru's names spread to Mariander.

"Yes, that Kinum." Mulisu smile. "So, if you know I'm Kinum, you know who Sarru is?"

Mulisu did not continue his words. He just tilted his body and let Emir and Inanna look at me.

I added, "yes, I am Sarru."
