Epilogue 2 – Alhold

"This is a service quality report for this semester, Om. Then here's a report on the activities of all the Alhold families. And here's a progress report for Lugalgin's hand."

"Ah, thank you Nammu."

I received some documents from Nammu and started checking them. Although most documents are in file form now, I am still more comfortable holding them.

After giving the documents, Nammu sat across the table. My work space is no longer mine. At Lugalgin's request, and Yueni's insistence, I gave Nammu a hospital job as my assistant. Nammu's main task is to arrange my schedule and mediate with the hospital manager when I'm busy.

Of course I gave a desk and a work chair to Nammu in this room. He would use his desk and chair when composing documents. For the document reading process, we sat on the sofa.

The Alhold family Nammu refers to are living people, used by Lugalgin as guinea pigs. By using the Alhold family, Lugalgin can already make a serum to eliminate brainwashing.

However, unfortunately, brainwashing drugs do not work 100 percent. In children and adolescents, the effects of brainwashing can be eliminated. However, in adults, the chances of success are very small. The percentage of success in adults is less than 20 percent. They still wanted to attack Lugalgin for no apparent reason, like instinct.

For the adults who failed to heal, we teamed up with Rina and Ira. The first attempt was to try to eliminate their hatred of Lugalgin with a new brainwashing. However, failed. Their instinct to attack Lugalgin remained. The second experiment was that we instilled new personalities and memories, changing their identities. The result was successful.

The third experiment was to change their identity but still know Lugalgin. Unfortunately, the third attempt failed. The fourth experiment was to simply eliminate the existence of Lugalgin without changing identity. Unexpectedly, the fourth experiment was successful. In conclusion, the main factor was the presence of Lugalgin in their memory.

We decided to give them a new identity and remove Lugalgin from memory. This option is taken because it is the safest. However, of course, we didn't take them off just like that. We are working with Akadia to monitor all the Alhold families, including the Ufias and Nammu families.

"Okay, let's go to the last report. Lugalgin's right hand."

Nammu was silent for a moment. "...unfortunately, there is still no development."

Despite hearing the conclusion and the core of the report from Nammu, I still opened and read the final report. Different from the previous report, this time, I read the report carefully.

"You don't have to apologize, Nammu. I should thank you. Thanks to you, I am not troubled. I can't imagine having to take care of all this alone."

"No, Om Barun. I should be the one to thank Om Barun for hiring me. Especially considering I still have to pay for Corba's school."

I stopped reading the documents and glanced at Nammu. "Are you still not willing to accept it?"

Yueni and I have forgiven your name. Lugalgin not only forgives, he even offers to bear the cost of school and Corba's life. Only Ninlil still insisted on not forgiving Nammu. Well, he's still a kid.

The pay as my assistant is not small. I can guarantee that. Lugalgin's offer is just a gesture, proof, if he doesn't mind Nammu's past.
