Chapter 221 – Criminal

"Repeat again?"

"Apollo is over. All of their vital buildings and facilities have been acquired and taken over by the other Six Pillars."

"The other six pillars? Quetzal and Orion too?"

"Yes. Quetzal and Orion. Well, the first move is Quetzal anyway, Orion just moved at the end. So, the only one who betrays is Quetzal. Orion just took the spices."

I fell silent, trying to digest Ukin's words. This blonde-haired man said that very lightly, as if it was a normal thing, expected.

Actually, I also suspected that this would happen sooner or later, but of course I didn't want it. I hope they make acquisitions and attack each other after the war against Lugalgin and the kingdom is over, not so soon!

Right now, Ukin and I were sitting on a sofa, in the basement. This 6 x 8 meter basement is one of the safe rooms I bought with pocket money. In addition to the sofa, this place also has a television, computer, bathroom, refrigerator. Complete.

"Apollo, supposedly, gathered all his members and weapons on that golf course, right? Do you have any explanation for how a large black market organization, one of the six pillars, was destroyed in such a short period of time? What does Lugalgin do?"

"Unfortunately, I don't have any information about that. For some reason, when the attack took place, all the cctv cameras around the scene died. So, unfortunately, we don't know what's going on in that place. What is clear is that the information circulating says Lugalgin and the long brown-haired lady braid two, who I believe is Mulisu, left the place after the attack was over."

So this is the result of Lugalgin and Mulisu. Actually, I was not too surprised because in the past, Ukin said, Lugalgin once destroyed the sixth-rate pillar organization single-handedly. Ukin also claimed he and Mulisu could do just that, but only Lugalgin proved that. So, if Lugalgin and Mulisu were to unite forces, yes, I could very well believe that they destroyed Apollo.

On the other hand, what surprised me, and was disturbed, was how all the cctv in that place was inactive at the time of the incident. Is this Guan and Akadia? Nah! It was the territory of Apollo. They would have no power in that place at all.

Was this done by intelligence that was under Lugalgin's control? It doesn't feel either. No matter how fast the intelligence moves to erase the cctv footage, it is not possible this fast. At the earliest, it should be, only tomorrow will the records be deleted, after inspection.

The only other possibility left is–

"There is a possibility that Lugalgin has a backing of another person or party behind him that we don't know yet."

Ukin said what was on my mind. Either he can read my mind or we are one frequency.

"Additional info, apparently, Karla and her men were not on that golf course when the attack. So, supposedly, he's still alive and will most likely counterattack."

"Ah, counterattack yes....."

"Hey!"

Finally the ignored party opened its voice. The sound came from the end of the room. A quarter of this room is a prison complete with a bathroom with a bulkhead.

In the prison, sat a black-haired man who was unkempt. Her hair was growing irregularly and her hair was no longer neat. He was wearing white clothes like a patient, but he was sick. This person, none other than, is His Majesty King Fahren.

"If that woman named Karla is going to attack Lugalgin, it's only natural that you guys help her, right?"

Me and Ukin threw each other a glance. We both seem to be really one frequency. Our eyes were both half-open, lazy to respond to the words of this outcast king.

"Just you."

"Alright," Ukin complied and threw a glance at Fahren. "Look, Apollo, has committed a grave offense by attacking the future wife of Lugalgin, who is a black marketer, in a public place and involving non-black market people. And, this violation, made Apollo no longer entitled to solicit or get help from other organizations."

Yeah, correct. The black market has many strict rules that must not be broken, one of which is prohibited from attacking other parties in and or from public places. If the black market wants to confront the other side, they have to do it in a place where all of their employees are black market people.

The golf course managed by Apollo is a tourist vehicle that is open to the public. When he made the attack on that spot, indirectly, Apollo had already broken this rule because some employees on the golf course and in the surrounding business premises were common, non-black market people. So, even though the one who destroyed the golf course was Lugalgin, the mistake still fell on Apollo's side because they chose the location of the attack.

I can guess Apollo wanted to avenge Lugalgin's artillery attack a while ago. But they did it at the wrong place and time. Even if they launch an attack on the golf course, at least, choose night time. When the golf course closes, all employees are considered to have gone home and those on the move are assumed to be black market people. Unfortunately, Apollo did not do this. I don't know what got into Leto.

"And if you help Karla to attack Lugalgin, who is now in the hospital and accidentally drags a normal person into the conflict, our reputation will be destroyed. If that's the case, it's done with our careers on the black market."

Finally, Ukin finished explaining.

"Curtain!" Fahren doesn't accept it. "For criminal gangs, you have too many rules."

"We're criminals for violating the rules you've made, the government. We will never break the rules we set ourselves. It's not like you're changing the rules so you don't break them."

"You!"

"What's? Do you have any other opinions?"

Fahren can only grit his teeth without a fight.

Suddenly, my phone on the table rang. I took it and saw the name of Orion's leader as the caller.
